Hi all,
I don’t watch Indian serials as much as I used to, only sometimes nowadays if I get attracted to the chemistry of the characters and the story line, and oh my gosh does Naagin 5 have both! Sharad and Surbhi’s chemistry is fire!!! I’ve been following Sharad since his Banoo Mein Teri Dulhan days and as much as I loved him even then, never did he make me feel how I feel watching him now…. ☺️ My goodness he is absolutely mind-blowing as Veer and my absolute favorite character on this show! I tune in for him and his stellar acting as Veer and the delicious chemistry between Veer and Bani! ❤️
Honestly, the moment I saw their chemistry, I couldn’t stop watching and have binge watched all the episodes in a mere couple of days. One week is way too long to wait for the next episode so what do I do? Rewatch Veer and Bani scenes over and over again of course!! 😆 What else is an addict to do?! There’s this awesome thread on this form created by AutumnColors that is my lifeline these days 😆 (I cannot be more grateful to you, AutumnColors!! 😃)
I’m happy to be here amongst fans of the show…I figure if anyone is going to understand my addiction to the show, you will 😆
So anyway, now to get to my favorite scene from last week. I mean Saturday was just all kinds of yummy ☺️ As a Veer-Bani fan, I LOVED the episode!! The mud scene where Veer stops the fight seeing Bani hurt and carries her, that firey cream applying scene, Veer and Bani’s almost kiss when he tripped over that bottle on the stairs…Ahhhhh!!!! So much wonderfulness packed into one episode!!
Sorry, got carried away there 😆 The one scene I loved immensely was on Sunday right after Bani saved Veer’s life after he had gotten poisoned. She’s bent over him and staring at his face wide-eyed, and he suddenly snaps his eyes open and what’s the first thing he sees…his beloved 😳. From here, his dialogue is SO SIGNATURE VEER that I just DIED. I mean, HE almost DIED but what does he think of the moment he wakes up??! A Kiss 😆 As if that’s the only thing that matters, no other world beyond Bani seems to exist for him in that moment.
Here’s a recap of the scene in as best hindi spelling as I can muster (apologies in advance if I mess up!) with my own thoughts sprinkled in between! 😃
Bani: Tum theek ho?
Veer: Meri patni agar mujhe mara samajhke kiss karne jaa rahi ho to main theek kaise ho sakta hoon sweetheart? (hayyyyeeeeee not even impending death can make him forget to say “sweetheart” 😳😆)
Bani: Main sab ko bulaati hoon
Veer: Sweetheart, tum bhaag sakti ho, chup sakti ho, lekin mere charms se bach nahin sakti ☺️. Yeh kya? Tumhari aankein sooji hui kyun hai? Ro rahi thi? Kahin advance mein chudiyan toh nahin todhdi (THIS. GUY!!)
Ok yeh sab baatein chodo, yeh batao ke tumhe afsos kis baat ka ho raha hai, ke main bach gaya ke tum apni pehli aur aakhri (muah) kiss (WHHAAAAATTTTT !!! THE WAY HE SMOOCHED THOO!!) karne ka mauka khodiya
Bani: Tumhara pura parivaar bahar wait kar raha hai. Sab bahaut pareshaan hai
Veer: Aur tum? (Damn this line. Anyone getting flashback vibes to their first scene where she asks him who thinks he is and he’s so enamoured by her and says he doesn’t know and asks aur tum? 😳)
Sweetheart, aaj raat jo hua mujhe woh to yaad nahin, lekin jo tumne mere bhai ke saath kiya, mere Teer bhai ke saath woh kabhi bhulunga nahin jis tara tumne unke coffin ko tum keech rahi thi unhe chain se tumne coffin main bhi sone nahin diya (clucks tongue) main kabhi nahin bhulunga and I’ll make sure ke tum bhi nahin bhoolo.
Veer goes from romantic lover upon waking up to vengeful villain within such a short scene. His dialogue delivery is fast and smooth, his expressions impeccable! I’m just Swooning!!!
Now excuse me while I go watch that scene again as we anticipate the next episode. So grateful it’s finally Saturday!! Can’t wait to see what happens next (and the scenes I’ll watch over and over again till the following week 😆)
