I don't know about you but when it comes to choosing between parents and so called true love useless pati, most of the Indian women I know will choose their parents. You can change your husband anytime but not your parents which is why duties towards them supercede any other obligation or duties.
some comments are hilarious to read...indian women chooses both parents and husband...they won't let their husband die...they will try all to save their husband at the same time they know their responsibilites towards their parents...
