It has been more than 3 months since Vidhi’s miscarriage and she had started working at Raichand Industries for a month now.
It was lunch time when Bimla comes to Vidhi’s cabin asking her to join for lunch in her room as Priya and Abhimanyu are already there and she brought her favorite paratha’s. Vidhi gets up.
V: maa, main Dev ji ko bulati Hoon aap chaliye
B: lekin mujhe nahi lagta Damadji office mein hai, main gayi thi unke cabin mein unhe bulane ke liye, wo nahi the.
V: bina bataya Kahan gaye honge?

Vidhi reluctantly agrees. She tries to call him, but his phone is not reachable.
They have their lunch and get on with their work. It is almost time to go home when Dev comes to Vidhi’s room.

V: aap kab aaye?
D: Matlab?
V: aap office se bahar gaye the? Maine call kiya aapka phone unreachable tha
D: I actually had a session with my therapist

V: doctor ke clinic
D: doctor kyun? Tumhara tabiyat theek nahi hain kya?
Saying he touches her forehead
V: sab theek hai, I got my tests done this week, aaj results aayengi, bas wohi lene jaana hai
They reach doctor’s clinic.
Doctor: Aapke reports sab normal hai and you are all set to try to get pregnant again
Dev was in a state of shock and looks at Vidhi

V: pichle session mein aap nahi aapaye the, tab Meri baat hui thi ki humein phir se try Karna chahiye and that child will heal our loss
D: doctor is Vidhi physically ready? Are you very certain about that?
Doctor: yes absolutely. She is in much better mental space than what we saw her 2 months ago. She is definitely ready
V: thank you Doctor.
In the car:
V: aap ko Batana chahiye tha ki aap therapy ke liye jaa rahe the
D: I wanted to be strong for you
V: I understand, phir bhi
D: I know we said no secrets but I needed this for myself. I wanted the baby so much. I dreamt of everything in future with the child, us as a family, I just couldn’t accept the loss
Saying tears start rolling down Dev’s eyes. Vidhi who was already emotional, just puts her hand on his
V: sorry Devji maine aap ko ignore Kiya
D: tumne kuch ignore nahi kiya hai mujhe, I wasn’t strong enough to share it with you.
They drive home in silence
Once they come home, Priya and Abhimanyu surprise them with tickets for honeymoon
D: honeymoon ki kya zaroorat hai?
V: haan abhi toh sab kuch theek ho Raha hai
A: sab theek ho Raha hai isiliye Bhai
Satyavathi: discussion ki zaroorat nahi hai, tickets ho chuke hai abhi tumlog sirf packing karo. Kal sham ko nikal na hai
Dev and Vidhi are internally happy as they understood that they have been grieving the loss of the baby in their own way though they have been to sessions together, they were still own their own separate journeys. They wanted to work on it and bridge the gap.
They have their dinner and sleep as soon as they hit the bed and they were mentally and emotionally tired.
The next day Dev had a few meetings lined up for the morning, though he cancelled everything from afternoon. He was ready to leave. Vidhi also decides to take care of a few things which needed her approval so that work doesn’t suffer while they were away.
V: Devji, main ek ghante mein wapas aajaungi aur packing ka sambhal lungi
D: Tum sirf kapde nikal ke Bahar rakho, packing toh main hi karunga, warna Tum chivda mixture pack karogi
Vidhi makes an annoyed face expression.
Neither of them wanted to go to office but being as responsible as they are try to push themselves.
D: suno, wo suitcase kahan hai
Vidhi turns clumsily and due to lack of space she falls on the bed, Dev who was trying to hold her falls on top of her
They land just inches away from eachothers lips. Both of them looking at the others eyes and lips with desire
Vidhi takes the first step, takes her phone which was on the bed beside her and dials a number
V: Saritha, wo Jo file mere table pe hai, wo Priya Bhabhi ko de dena taki wo approve karde aaj mein nahi aarahi Hoon
Dev got his clue. He doesn’t delay anything any further and leans in for a kiss which is reciprocated immediately with the same fierce vigor
They just get lost in their own desire which they have put on the back burner since the miscarriage. They hungrily attack the lips and stop to take a breathe
Dev’s phone starts ringing
D: Kaushik, aaj shaam ko hum nikal rahe hai, honeymoon ke liye, main office nahi aapaunga, meetings tu sambhal lena.
With that they start kissing eachother hungrily yet again. After a few seconds they come up for air.
Dev gets up to lock the door. On his way back, he starts unbuttoning his shirt. Vidhi starts to clear the bed to make space for themselves
Dev, starts to undress her very impatiently.
After all the barriers were out of the way, they explore eachothers bodies with an unknown boldness both of them never knew that existed in them.
Not able to take the buildup anymore
V: Dev please
That was enough Vidhi, his Vidhi calling him was by his name was all he needed. He enters her slowly. Vidhi digs her nails into his shoulders.
After the passionate lovemaking they stay on the bed the same way for a long while. It was almost 11am and as they did not come down for breakfast, Satya sends them breakfast to their room
House help knocks on the door, they do not answer.

D: please Vidhi
The help leaves.
They slowly gather themselves after sometime and get freshened up and go for lunch directly after an hour or so too famished
