Aug 8th: Things I liked

Good start to week 3 of the show. Usually most shows lose traction after two weeks....but so far so good here😆

Things I liked in this epi:

1) The contrast of Vidhi's family all eating dinner together and Vidhi being doted on with special kheer prepared to celebrate her achievements, while Dev arrives home to an empty house and a lonely existence where there is no one for him to share a meal with.

2) Vidhi's family pointing out the hypocrisy of beauty parlor waali Chachi trying to claim that Vidhi working is some kind of an insult to family tradition....lol Vidhi's dad may have taken time to come out of his regressive thinking but now he's going full guns blazing in sticking up for his daughter and her right to work and progress in life.

3) Vidhi trying to haphazardly learn how to tie a sari to wear to work😆

4) Vidhi musing out loud that the Goddess should have a siren system to warn her of looming problems😆....as per Vidhi logic, all streets should have numbers and all problems should have advance warning - if only life was that simple😆

5) Vidhi feeling cold in the office ka AC (SO relatable😆) and deciding to carry a SHAWL along with her sari😆

I know the epi ended on Dev being shown staring at Vidhi in the sari with the NUKSH theme song playing in the bg😆 but I feel at this point he looks more surprised to see her like that rather than supposedly smitten as the music is trying to indicate😆

Precap mein Vidhi mistaking Amba to be Mrs. Raichand🤣....now THAT will surely make Amba's day😆....even though she was dismissive of Vidhi otherwise....lol

Main bhi sochun we got so lucky to get so many Amba free epis - it wasn't going to last.....lol

I think the chachi's commotion was useless lol 😂 in the middle of the night out of nowhere. (Waise toh, she seems stingy in the financial matters but carrying a bright red CK purse the next day kinda felt hilarious lol 😂 ). But the parents, especially the father's reaction was nice. I liked that they gave back to that chachi in her own way, especially the way it was delivered by stating if that chachi has the free pass to break traditions, then the same should be applied for Vidhi's situation by allowing her to work as her parents. Also, I liked it that Vidhi's mother called Urmila's husband spineless and coming to gorge at their house at random hours.

Even the contrast of Dev feeling alone w/o family vs Vidhi consuming dinner with her family was nice as you said. Lol, the kheer spill moment was light-hearted and sweet with the way the young cousin joked around otherwise was anticipating initially Vidhi sulking for the kheer spill honestly speaking, given her character arc. Even the siren moment was funny but Vidhi did look pretty in the saree for sure. Bringing a shawl in the office with it was nice.

Lol, precap did kinda feet comical when Vidhi mistook Amba as Ms. Raichand. 😆Amba feeling in cloud nine made the precap feel really comical lol. 😂

Lol it is not CK ..it is KK or something it says on it a knockoff and it says some desi name underneath it I guess it is a satire on her to show she likes to show off but she is so annoying..I also liked ke papa ne uski achi bajayi and Baath hi main maa and woh peeli aunty too spoke..

I also liked papa ka kehna ke bhai aise toh jheth se zabaan ladana is also against parampara but jab aone pe parampara aati hai toh theek dusron ke liye galat.

I am so glad gidhi did not go to do the returns on ehr way to office though I laughed seeing her getting late due to sari esp caz a day before inky she was like waise mujhe der nahi hogi unless I miss the bus😆 Whole doing her hisaab kitaab

The moment where dev initially forgot ke haath se hisaab hai and then getting touched by her gesture and dedication and saying and who says she doesn't deserve it was very nicely done by IQ..I liked that confidence on his decision it gave Dev that woh sahi tha about her..

She looked pretty in sari and will be intresting to see how paggli filled handles it but i also agree with AY I do not think he was smitten smitten.. shawl wala bit was so relatable .I love seema she is so funny and cute light hai show ki seema wi4h her punches..

I loved how vidhi ki Maa told thay loser chachi ke yehi farak hai at dev ka Company she is valued for her talent unlike you thankless woman . Baaki her papa super well and I hope she continues to stick up for his daughter in future too .. nicely handled matters and to show ke all these old regressive things eventually somewhere have to change that yes even he was against it but he realized how important it is for vidhi and not caz she qoukd be able to help them..I liked the bit where he was her income will be for her only so nobody caz say that he did it in laalch of money but I like that he genuinly trusted vidhi and have taken her word seriously and khule dil ke saath supporting her.

Baaki yeh bhai and bhabhi ka lame hi hai track jo bhi hai..the contrast was nice too but lmao at amba being called Mrs richland.. I don't if vidhi iske hi signature leke office na chali jaaye as she is here to take signatures of Mrs raichand😆 Woukd be too funny to see dev ke expressions..

Oh and plz can vidhi stick to her suits and tied hair..yes she looked pretty no doubt but I like her casual look more relatable lagta hai for paggli fillum

Thanks for reminding me of Dev's scene in the car when he's looking at Vidhi ka haath wala hisaab.....lol I totally meant to add that to my TIL waali list too. Nice brief but poignant scene.....but waise I wanted to know how he verified the accuracy of the hisaab....calculator nikaal ke double check toh kiya nahin😛😆.....bas Vidhi ki neat handwriting mein likha hua hisaab dekh ke hi apne decision pe sukoon mil gaya?😆

I also liked Vidhi's dad's assertion that her salary will not be used for ghar ke kharch and it will all be put in her bank savings account for her future. This shows that he is orthodox in his thinking but his intention is not to dabaao his daughter - he does want her to grow and prosper and he's not of the mind ki a woman needs to be dependent on a man to manage her money. Vidhi will find a way to convince him to let her contribute to household kharche soon though I suspect....lol

Re: saris and suits....well if the new promo is anything to go by, she will likely return to her suits for office wear.....Dev may notice her struggling with the sari in the office and tell her to wear whatever she is comfortable with. No doubt she looked pretty in the sari but I would prefer the premise to be maintained around DV understanding and supporting each other rather than going gaga over superficial things.

Word on Seema too...her one liners in the dining table scene were👏....very quick witted she is, especially about teasing Vidhi for her gadbadis 😆

Vidhi's mom is one of my fav. characters so far in the show. It's so refreshing that she is not the typical caricature of a mom or wife. They don't show her as some kind of mera pati parmeshwar kind of traditional woman or as some kind of neurotic mess over her children....it's a balanced execution.

The way she handles everyone from her rigid husband, her super anxiety ridden daughter, her rude and shameless SIL....lol she's a loving/compassionate woman but no pushover....she knows how to give it back in spades to her SIL's bakwaas and she also knows how to tackle her husband even though she finds his rigidity tiresome....lol they are a loving family overall with different personality types in the mix but well handled so far.

That Urmila Chachi basically just wants to dabaao Vidhi and use her as an errand girl. Vidhi either doesn't realize her Chachi's tricks or she just finds it hard to say no....it's still that confidence issue for her....and she will likely evolve into asserting herself in front of the Chachi more too.

I like all of yours points really well but last one is the best one yes she should dressing as her own choice and comfort not to please the others ,if they are making fun of her her that means they are ashamed or not comfortable by their own identity ?-

Yes, I feel Dev himself will make that point that people should be allowed to dress in what they are comfortable in and Vidhi should be judged by her work, not her clothes.

That lame Kanika just wants excuses to prove Vidhi unfit for the job, that is why she is coming up with such lame tactics....she is also clearly a snob who looks down on people for their dressing sense and that is why she is imposing this on Vidhi.

Hmm, kinda makes me go back to the bindi scene when she said she's comfortable wearing a simple bindi over something extravagant, for some reason. Dunno but kinda felt reflective over the bindi scene. I also agree with letting Vidhi don her choice of clothes/comfort for sure too.

Yeah that bindi scene was a nice one....I hope that point is reiterated in some form about dressing per your comfort.

Anyways looks like this sari issue has been punted for today....Dev never got the chance to talk to Vidhi and she spent most of the day running some errand at Dev's house. So maybe they will have the sari discussion later at some point.....lol
