I'm back! Kaise ho sab log? Mein yaad hu na? Ya mujhe bhul gaye? Well I'm back to post the 2nd part of my os. Some of u people wanted to read mohan's pov too. So, i tried to write it. And it is set after 6 yrs leap, just like first part. Here it is...
A house in pune
The house is very dark. May be no one bothered to switch on the lights. In that darkness a shadow is in sitting position indicating a man is sitting there. The man is in a shelved state and had tears in his eyes. Suddenly, there is a loud cry of a baby. The man came out of his thoughts and realized his surroundings. And said, "arrey, lagta hai light chali gayi!" He switched on his mobile's torch light and went to a baby's room. There is a baby girl around 2 yrs age is crying on the bed. The baby girl got scared because of darkness. The man came to her and tried to soothe her by taking her in his arms. He said "Arrey, meri baby kyun ro rahi hai? Kuch nahi hua. Papa hai na yaha, kuch nahi hone denge tumhe. Don't worry." He said all the words with lots of love and concern. The baby replied, "paa...pp..pu!" with a babyish stammering voice. The man was surprised and then delighted hearing the word from her mouth as this is the first time she said that and fondly asked her what she said. She again replied "papu!" signaling to him. His eyes got wet hearing the word again and he embraced the girl in a tight warm hug with closed eyes letting his tears fall.
He is Mohan bhatnagar. 6 years have been passed but his hearts wounds haven't healed. Instead they become more open whenever his memories about that fateful night triggers. In these 6 long years he tried everything to find addu. But he never got succeeded. He is always in touch with Indore police to find about any progress from his side. He even worked on the clues found by police and sometimes helped police to give them more clues. Even then he couldn't able to find addu. He just felt helpless and lonely all times. He always thought what his chawanni would say when he is in any predicament and tries to get out of that in his chawanni's style. If only his chawanni is there with him, now in all these situations. He would have felt a lot better. He is missing his chawanni a lot. He thought, if only he had been a better father, today he wouldn't be in this situation. 2 yrs back he was in very bad condition and losing all his hopes and in the verge to lose his mental sanity because of all the pressure he went through in all the 4 yrs. Just then the small girl who is in his arms now came to in his life. Guru bought her to him when she is just few months old. He couldn't say no to guru when he asked his permission to let her live with them. Initially, he just used to help guru in taking care of her. But slowly, he started taking care of her even without guru. Nurturing her, Caring for her, Seeing her growing...he got out of depression and got new hopes for his life. Slowly she became an integral part of his family. Yes, a family which not only has him, guru n rimjhim but also megha, addu and his chawanni. Even though the other members are not with him now but he is sure that they will be with him one day. He won't let that hope die which is the soul reason for him to be alive till now.
Today rimjhim called him papa for the first time. It's his first-time too. It's his first time to hear someone calling him papa. Papa, is the word which every man desires to hear at some point in his life. And he is not any exception. Today he got the desired. Now, he doesn't wants to do his past mistakes and want to be the best father. And he promised himself that he will be rimjhim's best father and prove to everyone that he is not sautela. Just then lights put on. He startled and opened his eyes and turned back sensing someone on his back. There is another man standing near the switch board and glaring at him. Seeing him, he smiled and said "guru! Abbey, tu kab aaya waapas? Aur andar kaise aaya?" and went near him.
G: Kya bhaiyya, dara hi diya aapne mujhe! Ghar mein itna andhera kyun chake rakha hai? Mujhe laga aap aur baby ghar mein nahi hai. Par jab maine baby ke rone ke aawaz suni toh mein bahut dar gaya tha. Isiliye, apni chaabi se door khola. Batti kyun nahi jalayi? Questioned guru hurriedly
M: Abbey, oye! Batti tabhi jalatha na jab light hogi. Power cut hogayi thi isiliye. Replied mohan irritated.
G: Power chali gayi thi toh generator on kyun nahi hua? Questioned guru, with a smirk.
M: Mujhe kaise pata? Mechanic ko bhulana padega shayed. Replied mohan.
G: Arrey! Bhaiyya, ye generator ka problem nahi. Aap ka problem hai. Kyunki light gayi hi nahi! Aap ne batti nahi jalayi. Jab mein aaya toh mein ne switches on kiye. Replied guru irritated.
M: kya? Mein ne switches on nahi kiye? Asked mohan
G:Aur nahi toh kya? Pados ki bhi lights on hai. Aur aap soch rahe ho ki light chali gayi! Mere bua ko heart-attack ayi toh mein gao gaya. Lekin aap toh mujhe hi heart-attack dene ki tayyari kar rakhe ho. An angry guru replied.
Mohan felt sorry and hung his head down. Seeing this guru asked
G: Aisi kya soch mein dube hue the bhaiyya ki aap ke aas paas ka bhi kayal nahi raha? Asked guru worriedly.
M: Kal chawanni ka b'day hai. Replied mohan slowly.
Guru got angry hearing this.
G: Aap sudharoge nahi na bhaiyya! Meri toh koi kadar hi nahi hai. Mujhe aap se baat bhi nahi karni. Rahiye waise hi jaise aap chahte ho! Said this with angry tears and went outside the room.
Mohan laid rimjhim who is asleep again by now on her bed, and followed guru.
M: Arey, guru ruk na kaha ja raha hai? Ek baar meri baat suno toh. Asked mohan
G: Nahi, mujhe un logon ke baarein mein koi baat nahi karni! Said guru with anger and started to walk away
M: Arey yaar! Sunna! Mujhe unlogon ki nahi balki rimjhim ke baarein mein baat karni hai. Said mohan.
G: Rimjhim ke baarein mein! Kya? Asked guru while turning back.
M: Pata hai usne aaj kya kaha? Asked mohan excitedly.
G: Kya, kaha? Asked guru with double excitement.
M: Pehle gussa thuk do! Phir bataunga warna nahi! Said mohan with a smirk.
G: Ye toh black mailing hai! Said guru with a pout.
M: Acha! Tum toh aise keh rehe ho jaise kit um ne kabhi nahi kiya? Asked mohan with cocking eye-brows.
Guru accepted it as it is their usual thing since rimjhim entered their life. They both trick each other whenever they are about to share what rj did or said for the first time when the other person is absent. And the other have to accept it with no other choice left.
M: Pata hai usne aaj kya kaha?
G: Ab zyada footage khaye bina bolo bhaiyya!
M: Usne aaj pehli baar mujhe papa bhulaya. Said mohan while smiling widely
G: Kya? Asked guru in surprise
M: Haa! Matlab paapu bola. Matlab yahi na ki papa blona chahti thi ki paapu bangaya. Said mohan with same smiling face.
M: pata hai guru, mujhe kitna acha laga tha. Mujhe kaise laga, ye mein shabdon mein bayaan nahi karsakta. Aisa laga tha jaise ki mein duniya ka sab se khush kismat insaan hu! Said mohan with tears in his eyes.
Guru too had got tears in his eyes seeing his bhaiyya this much happy.
Just then wall clock stuck 12 and made an alarming sound. Mohan turned back and saw the time and exclaimed. "Arrey! Barah baj gaye! Aur mein ne toh cake bhi nahi laaya. Cholo pehle wish kar deta hu, cake subah kaat lenge." And proceeded towards his room. Guru followed him worriedly. Mohan went to his room and opened a desk having some photos. He took nanhi's photo and said "Happy birthday nanhi, Chawanni." With tearful eyes.
M: Kitna mann kar raha hai tumhe dekhne ko. Tum badi hogayi hogi na? Kyun nahi hui hogi. Kuch din thode na hue, che saal hogaye hai. Sach kahu toh jab mein ghar se nikal gaya tha ye keh ke ki mein tabhi lautunga jab addu mere saath hoga. Tab mujhe pata nahi tha ki mein itne saal tum donon se itna dur rahunga. Mujhse nahi hota, chawanni. Tumse aur megha se milne keliye aur intezaar nahi hota mujhse. Tum logon se dur nahi reh sakta. Mujhe tumhari bahut yaad aa rahi hai.Tears started to spill out of his eyes.
Mein tumhe dekhna chahta hu. Baat karna chahta hu, pata hai kitni baar man kiya ki mein ek baar phone kar ke tum se baat karlu, bas ye jaanlu ki tum teek ho megha teek hai, janta hu tum ho uska khayal rakne ke liye. Par tum apni khayal rak rahi ho iski tasalli chahiye mujhe. Two tears fell down on the photo. He took a deep breathe to control himself and wiped the photo's frame and his eyes, and continued. Lekin tum mujhse baat nahi karogi na. Agar mein phone karbhilu aur tum mujhe baat karne se inkaar karogi toh mera dil tut jayega. Isilye, phone karne ki himmat bhi nahi hui. Par tum dekhna mein tumhari saari naarazgi dur kardunga. Mein jaanta hu jab mein addu ko dundlunga, tab tum mujhe zarur maaf karogi aur tumhare mummy ko manane ke liye bhi help karogi. Tum dekhna hum sab bahut khush rahenge. Mein tum addu, tumhari mummy rimjhim guru hum sab mil ke masti karenge, party karenge. Said with a smile. And looked at the photo and then slowly asked hai na? He looked at the photo intently for few seconds and finally with out able to control himself hugged that photo and started to cry his heart out.
Guru who was at the entrance of the room crying till now hadn't able to control himself seeing his beloved bhaiyya crying, he lost his cool and went him hurriedly and shaked him.
G: Hosh mein aao bhaiyya. Sambhalo khud ko. Yelled guru.
Mohan startled by guru's action looked shockingly at him
G: Aisa, kuch nahi hone wala bhaiyya. Aap sab saath nahi rehne wale! Agar addu mil bhi jaaye toh bhi nahi. Kyunki, megha didi sirf aap ka istamal kar rahi hai. Addu ke milne ke baad aapko koi puraskar ya samman nahi dene wale. Unke liye aap tab bhi Sautela hi rahogi!
M: Guru! Mohan yelled at him.
G: Chillane se sach nahi badalne wala, bhaiyya. Aap unkeliye jitna bhi karlo, aap ko sautela hi maanenge aur woh aap se sautela ka hi vyavahar karenge.
Mohan looked at him bewildered
G: Ab toh aap aankhe kholo aur sach ko dekho! Chod dijiye ye sab kuch. Ab apne aap ko aur chot mat pahunchayiye. Kuch nahi lagte woh aapki.
M: Guru! Bas bahut hogaya! Yelled mohan.
G: Mein bhi wahi keh raha hu bhaiyya. Ab bahut hogaya. Woh toh aapko apni zindagi se nikaal hi chuke hai. Ab aap unki yaadein apni dimaag se nikaal lijiye. Aur aap apni zindagi ke baarein sochiye. Nahi hai woh donon aapke bache! Apki sirf ek beti hai, woh hai rimjhim. Aap uski baare mein sochiye. In sab ke baare mein nahi! Said guru and snatched the photo from mohan.
M: Guru! Kya bakwaas kar rahe ho? Kaise soch sakte ho ki mein unhe bhul jaaunga! Yelled mohan.
G: Agar bhul nahi sakte toh toh maanlo ki woh is duniya mein hain hi nahi. Maanlo ki woh mar chuke hai. Yelled guru
Mohan yelled guru! And slapped him. Guru got tears in his eyes and looked at mohan's eyes which are filled with so much pain, rage, hatred, and anger.
M: Aise kaise keh sakthe ho tum guru? Aaj tum ne had kardi! Tum aisi baat kar kaise sakthe ho? Asked mohan with anger and hurt
Guru was shocked and looked at mohan with guilt
M: Tum hothe kon ho ye kehne wale ki woh mere bacche nahi hai! Chache koi kuch bhi kahe, megha khud hi kyun na keh de hi woh mere bacche nahi, who mere bacche hi rahenge. Jis din megha se pyar hua tha ussi din se woh mere bhi bacche ban gaye. Toh kya hua ki addu mujhe sautela samajtha hai. Mein usse apna beta hi manta hu aur usse pyar bhi waise hi karta hu. Ha, mujhe tes pahunchthi thi ki who mujhe sautela kehta tha. Both guru and mohan had tears in their eyes. Aur jab...he took a long breath but can't able to stop his tears. Sab se zyaada tes tab pahunchi jab chawa...he took another long breath and said jab chawanni ne hi mujhe sautela keh diya! Fresh tears spilled out of his eyes.
M: Lekin uski kehne se kuch badal jaayega kya? Mein uska papa hi hu! Ha dost pehle aur baap baad mein hu lekin isse kya farak padta hai. Chawanni meri sab se acchi dost hai. Usne hamesha mujhe bahut pyar diya. Lekin mein ne hi friend aur parent mein balance nahi kar paya. Aur chawanni ko usse bhi koi problem nahi thi. Mein addu ke saath bhi waise hi raha aur usse problem hogayi, isiliye... he took another breath wetted his lips while his hands were on his hips.
M: Lekin galthi toh meri hi hai na, guru. Meri hi galathi hai ki mein accha baap nahi ban paya. Tum jaante ho na ki Mr. Bhatnagar mere saath kaise rehte the! Mein jaanta hi nahi hu ki acha baap hote kaise hai. Isiliye mein apne bacchon ka dil dukha diya. Megha aur chawanni ka gussa jayas hai. Tum jaante ho na usse, koi kabhi mujhe samjhe ya na samjhe woh hamesha mujhe samajthi thi. Hamesha meri saath dethi thi. Meri chawanni jo hai. Usko mujhepe bahut bhorosa tha. Jab mein khud haar maan letha tha, tab uska bharosa hi tha jo mujhe haar manne se rokta tha. Mein uska spider-man jo hu. Usse lagta tha ki jab tak mein hu mein un sab ko kuch nahi hone dunga. Lekin mere wajah se addu ko kho gaya. Meine uska bharosa thod diya toh kya who mujhpe gussa nahi karegi? He said and wiped his eyes with his hands. While guru tried to say something he stopped him by showing his hand and continued.
M: Tum kya chahte ho? Yahi na ki mein apni zindagi ke baare mein sochu. Toh tumhari jaankari ke liye batadu ki mein ab bhi wahi kar raha hu. Meri zindagi mere bacche aur biwi hai. Mujhe apne bete ko dundna hai jo patha nahi kaha, kis haal mein hai. Mujhe uski chinta hai. Mujhe apni bawi aur beti ki chinta hai jo mujhse dur hai. Mein unki chinta isliye karta hu kyunki mujhe un se pyar hai, unki fikar hai. Aur wahi mere zindagi hai. Mein apne parivaar ko phir se ek karke rahunga, jiska hissa tum bhi ho. Said while looking at guru.
G: Bhaiyya, mein... he was cut by mohan
M: Mujhe tumse ye ummeed nahi thi guru. Mujhe tumse ab koi baat nahi karni. Said and went out of the room leaving a guilty guru behind.
In the Morning
Mohan just woke up and went to hall. His head is spinning because of last night. He sat on the sofa with his head in his hands. Then a hand with cup of coffee came before him. He lifted his head to see guru standing there with a grumpy expression. He tilted his head to another side and pouted. Seeing this guru stomped and said.
"lelijiye bhaiyya, warna aap ka sar dard kum nahi hogi aur din bhar aise hi rehna hoga!" He said with fake anger.
Mohan took the cup but hadn't said anything or changed his expression.
Guru went inside and came back after few minutes with rimjhim on his shoulders. He went to mohan and cleared his throught. Mohan who was busy with his laptop looked up.
G: Woh muje kuch paise chahiye. Asked looking at other side
M: kitne?
G: 3000 RS
Mohan looked up again, surprised
M: Kya mein jaan sakta hu ki itne paison ki kya zarurat pad gayi? Asked to tease him
G: Mujhe mandir jaana hai. Special puja hai. Nanhi ki naam pe karwani hai.
Mohan looked again surprised and guru saw him and said
G: Chowkne ki koi zarurat nahi hai! Nanhi mere bhi kuch hai. Hum bhi dost the.
Mohan smirked and nodded his head in agreement and gave him money. After taking money, guru seriously looked at mohan and said
G: Woh, mujhe aap se kal raat ke baare mein baat karni hai. Dekhiye bhaiyya, mujhe megha didi ya bacchon se koi dushmani nahi. Mujhe bas aap ka fikar hai. Aur aap unki wajah se aise ho rahe hai, aap ko takleef ho rahi hai. Toh humhe bhi takleef hoti hai. Hamere maa-baapu ke jaane ke baad aapke alawa humara koi nahi hai is duniya mein. Aur din ba din aapki haalath karaab ho rahi hai. Isiliye mujhe aapke liye zyada chinta ho rahi hai. Warna hume megha didi ya nanhi se koi pareshani nahi hai. Hume bhi unki fikar hai. Toh agar aap apna khayal rakhenge toh hum aisa kuch nahi kahenge. Said emotionally.
Mohan stood up and said
M: Janta hu, ab aur senti mat ho aur jao, tumhara baghawan intezaar kar raha hoga mandir mein. Said while smirking
G: Ha ha zyada keechne ki zarurat nahi hai, ja rahe hai hum. Said and turned to go.
M: Arey rimjhim ko kyun le ja raha hai? Asked mohan
G: Ane dijiye humare saath warna aap hi ki tarah baghwan ko na maan ne wali hojayegi! Aur waise bhi aapko park jana tha na. Aap jayiye hum dono mandir se seedhe aajayenge. Aur ha cake humne order kardiya hai. Kal hi. Toh cake ki chinta mat kijiye. Said guru with a smile. Mohan too responded with a smile and waved a bye to them. Even lil rimjhim too waved back to her paapu.
In the park.
Mohan guru and rimjhim are in the park. They are surrounded by a group of children from an orphanage whom mohan invited to celebrate his chawanni's b'day. In the middle there is a two layered cake just like his chawanni wanted for her 16th b'day. She once mentioned it to him. And how can spiderman not fulfill his chawanni's wish! So, he made sure he got that cake.
Now it's the time to cut the cake. He is going to cut it on his chawanni's behalf. All children insisted him to make a wish. So he closed his eyes and wished.
Bhagawan, please meri chawanni ka khayal rakhna. Usse koi dukh mat dena. Please, usse bahut saare khushiyan dena. After that he cut the cake. And the children started to have snacks. Guru and two other orphanage people are handling everything. Even rimjhim is enjoying herself with other kids. He smiled at her and went away to have some alone time. He went a little far from the crowd and sat on a bench. He is busy in his thoughts.
Aaj chawanni ke b'day party ho rahi hai, aur wohi is party mein nahi hai. Kash hum sab saath hothe tho kitna achha hotha. And imagined some moments with megha and nanhi addu rj. He had a pleasant smile on his lips all that time. But when imagination got over the smile had transformed into tears in his eyes. Pata nahi kab mera pariwar mera saath hoga. Aur kaise hogi meri chawanni. Ab toh 16 saal ki ho gayi hai. Kya kar rahi hogi? Kaise dikh rahi hogi? Kya, abhi bhi mujhpe gussa hai? Usse koi pareshaani toh nahi ho rahi hogi? He was in all these thoughts but his thoughts were disturbed by someone's yelling. He came back to reality and saw that a boy and a girl are quarelling. The boy is misbehaving with the girl and girl is trying to go away. Seeing this mohan got angry and went to him. He holded the boy's collar and gave him two tight slaps. The boy went away holding his cheeks. The girl thanked him and went away. He too started to walk but suddenly something came to his mind and stopped and turned back and called the girl who is just a few feet away. The girl came to him and he asked the girl about her age. She said 16! Mohan got worried and asked the girl to be more careful and don't go alone anywhere. The girl said ok and went. Mohan was very worried thinking about the girl. He thought "ye aaj kal ke ladke, 16 saal ke bacchon ke saath bhi, chi! Gin aathi hai mujhe aise logon se! Chawanni bhi toh itni umar ki hai na. Agar koi ladka uske saath aise behave... Nahi, Nahi! Mein usse chodunga nahi. Uski haddi tod dunga. Kisiki itni himmat mere hothe hue meri chawanni ko chede!" "Lekin mein toh uske saath nahi hu na!" Came his inner voice. Toh ab kya karu? Woh safe toh hogi na? Nahi, nahi mein kuch zyada hi soch raha hu. Uski saath aisa nahi hoga. Phir bhi mere tasalli ke liye bas ek baar uski aawaj toh sun letha hu. Ha yahi teek rahega. He thought and dialed vyas nivas.
He waited for someone to lift the call, just then another call came to him. It was his informer's call who is helping him to find addu. So, he disconnected the call to vyas nivas and received the informers call. He talked to him for few minutes. When the call ended. He thought " ye mein kya karne ja raha tha! Nahi mujhe aisa dubara nahi karna chahiye. Mein addu ko dundne se pehle aisa kuch nahi kar sakta. Lekin chawanni ki safety! He thought and took a handky from his pocket and knotted it wishing nanhi's safety. Bhagwanji, please chawanni ko safe rakhna, usse protect karna. And thought I'm sorry chawanni, iss situation mein isse zyada mein aur kuch nahi karparaha hu Said and went to talk to his other contacts to find addu...
