The PC informs Ammaji and Co. that the women in the village has not been allowed to exercise their rights, hence the time for voting has been extended by another 2 hrs. The doors of an ambulance opens and all the women who had fallen ill, while locked inside Gutki's house, came out to vote. Ammaji tells the PC that it is his duty to look that the voting is done correctly, hence she is ok with it. Sia and Raghav are happy to see the women voting.
A black car comes and stops in front of the polling booth and Sheela Chachi, Santosh, Chanda and Jhumar alight out of it. Ammaji, 'namard Jogi and 'lampat' Gaji are furious ta seeing them there. The four comes and stands inf ront of Ammaji. Ammaji asks them why they had come over there inspiteof her warning to all of them to stay confined in the haveli? Hooda comes up to the women and tells Ammaji that under the new system of balloting, the women in the haveli have also got new voting papers and hence it is their right to vote also. Ammaji goes away and the four of them smiles at Raghav and Sia. They then go to the booth to vote.
Chandiram tells Ballaram that he has a strong feeling that Ammaji's days are over like a setting sun. Ballaram tells him that whatever happens, they will witness a change in the village.
Gutki tells Sia to go home and rest now that their part is done. Raghav also tells Sia that she needs to go home and take rest. Ammaji is on the verge of leaving when Jogi rushes up to her and says that he would have a word with the PC regarding the time extension. Ammaji asks her not to behave like a mad person since the PC has definitely got instructions from above to ensure that the election is held smoothly. She tells Jogi that a handful of women voting for Sia is not going to change her destiny.
It's night time. Raghav is asleep 😲😉 while Sia is awake, not able to sleep. She remembers all the hardships she had had to face in Veerpur after their arrival and how her Father had been dishonoured. She is listless and gets up and goes to the window. On the other side, Ammaji is sitting on her throne thinking of the arrival of Sia in the kasbah, her interactions with Ammaji, her rebellious nature and Raghav leaving his home for her. Both of them are worried about the outcome.
Next morning, Sia is praying when Raghav joins her. He tells her that all this time, it has always been the women praying for their husband's success and victory; but today he, as a husband, was praying for his wife's success and knew that Sia would win.
A huge crowd has gathered in the courtyard of Ammaji's haveli and the people are singing and dancing. Ammaji comes out and thanks them, asking them to wait till the results are formally announced. Jogi asks her to wait in the haveli itself saying that once the results were out, there would be a procession from the haveli celebrating Ammaji's victory. Ammaji declines and tells him that she would prefer going to the camp and hear the results herself and also see the emotions on her opponent's face and experience joy. A small procession moves to the camp where Ammaji greets the PC and her team and then seats herself on a small pavilion.
Raghav and Sia also reach the spot with a few women while the men are shouting slogans for Ammaji. They also get seated in a small podium while Gaji asks the villagers to shout more so that their enemies run away from the spot, licking their tails. Raghav is angry. The counting officer (CO) comes out and says that Ammaji is leading in Ward 1 by 10 votes. After some time, he comes out and says that Ammaji is also leading in the 2nd ward with 7 votes. he then announces that Sia is leading in Ward 3 with 2 votes. Jogi says that at least this would probably help Sia salvage some of her lost respect.
Sheela Chachi prays in the kitchen that Sia should win, otherwise the women in Veerpur would never get away from violence in their lives. Santosh laments that they are not able to understand the outcome of the election. Jhumar tells them that if Ammaji wins then there will be celebrations in the village; but if Sia wins, then there will be a desolation kind of scenery in the village.
The CO then comes out and tells again that Ammaji is leading in Ward 4 by 11 votes. Ammaji and Co. are ecstatic while Raghav, Sia and the women are a bit sad. The CO comes out for the last time and says that the counting process has been completed and Ammaji has got 4432 votes in total. The people rejoice and start celebrating, when the CO stops them and tells that Sia has got 4435 votes in aggregate, thus becoming the Sarpanch of the village. Raghav and Sia are ecstatic and the two look at each other with love, respect and adoration.
All the colour vanishes from Amamji and Co.'s face. 👏
