Wasn't Sia the one who was supposed to set Ammaji right? Her character is central to the serial and she is supposed to be the one to rectify all ills....

So have the CVs decided that Sia cannot do anything and have hence brought in Amba? And is this also being done to sooth troubled waters with the various women's groups who are up in arms over the serial?

Arrey na na, aisa kuch nahin.

The AMba track is just another track in the serial and it deals with the extremist action that Ammaji is facing from someone with more muscle power than herself. Amba has been wronged in some way or another and that's why she wants revenge from Ammaji. You can say, they are trying to create a modern day lady Robinhood.

On the other hand, Sia is integral to the story in the sense that she is married to the very family that has destroyed her - she is a direct link. And we all need to remember that she has no muscle power to fight with. IN fact, she never wanted any physical coercion with Ammaji and her henchmen. She wanted to change the way these people thought and has managed to do a little bit in the sense that she has instilled confidence in the womenfolk to some extent. These women were earlier inside the haveli but they dared not to do anything, though I must really applaud these women for their character strengths.

Sia has to bring about a long-term change in the haveli, while AMba is all about getting justice with a single stroke of her sword, rhetorically speaking.

So we just need to chillax and enjoy whatever we are shown now.

poet thanks alot for putting my word across as there are people in the forum who hvent understood that amba can only be a short term effect as violence can never be a long term solutoion to problems. it is enjoyable that ammaji is just being treated to the same treatment that she has meted out to people but amba being a dacoit can only be there in the serial for some time

Yes it seems amba has come to do what sia couldnt....but afcourse we dont know the real reosons as to why siya has been sidelined so badly...the creatives must have a good reoson for doing so....i agree though that violence is not the answer!!!..however making bigtime claims of revenge and talking big time of revenge and justice time and agian without delivering is worse!!!!...i really cant understand why the ceatives have diminished siyas role..but this has been discussed umpteen times..i dont know why it keeps coming up..to anyone who watches lado its far too obvious....atleast i for one have pretty much forgotten about siya..and treat her at par to any other character!!...but i agree with you that amba is a cameo it seems..lets see what this track will lead to...

To some extent i agree with u ..............but SIA as per her name cannot turn to DURGA.............so i think a girl like AMBA can only beat AMMAJI.....

Thats what I thought....Somebody was supposed to set Ammaji straigh....With Sia mellowing down bcoz of Raghav, Amba had to coem in!! Well, what can I say, as long as Ammaji learns a lesson...Sia or Amba, doesnt matter....Amba though is doing a fantastic job....

Hi guys
@ poetic - Thanks for the succinct analysis. I agree with your premise of Sia being integral to this serial and the eventual justice that will be done.

@sang hari and Poetic - It was not my intention to grouse about the way things are. I actually wanted to express that if the CVs have brought in Amba as a short-term character, they must see to it that her role is not a meaningless one like say that of Sunita or of Roopa or that mid-wife seen in the earlier episodes was....

Sia is definitely central to the show, but Amba's role must also have some meaning and change the direction in some way... While Amba's "sword of justice" has given the viewers a glimpse of Ammaji's vulnerability,it would be a waste if Amba were to be killed or dealt with simply to give Ammaji the upper hand......
