Debojit Saha, who has been a regular on singing reality shows ever since he won Sa Re Ga Ma Pa, may turn singer-cum-composer. "If composers continue to sing and ignore singers like us, we will be left with no other choice," says Debojit who feels that while every singer is a composer in his own rights, the converse cannot be true.
In city with other 'Shaan Strikers' Harshit Saxena, Anwesha Duttagupta and Shadab Faridi, Debojit says Music ka Maha Muqquabla, the latest reality show featuring him is of a different kind. "Unlike other shows, here we don't compete as contestants but participate as team," says the singer from Assam.
All praise for Shaan, Debojit dubs his captain as a singer who charms with effortless ease. "As a team leader, it is he who identifies the plus points of every member and utilizes it to the hilt," he says hoping his team wins the show.
A regular on TV since 2005, Debojit says he is still a struggler when it comes to playback singing. "It's a different world altogether," says the singer who has only few songs to his credit. "I have dubbed for many films including 3 Idiots but only few projects could see the light of the day," he says asserting he is enjoying the 'experience'. "As long as I am getting to sing, I am happy," says Debojit who had also anchored a music reality show in Bengali. Very popular as a stage performer, Debojit loves live audience.
"The instant feedback gives you a high," he says expressing gratitude to people who have been voting for him ever since his first show.
"I have always got appreciation from the fans and I value them more than anything else," says Debojit hoping the viewers continue to shower love helps his team win the 'Maha Muqquabla'.
