no i mean you guys can suggest me singers to choose. i will choose based on the suggestions. same goes for the songs. you guys can suggest me songs to choose for each singer. and i will choose based on the suggestions.

this way its less confusing and we get going at a faster rate.

Cool! On the format of the show:

1. You're having two competitions: one for males and one for females.

2. There SHOULD be judges, so that we can comment on the judges too! And we can say if we like the judge's remarks or not etc.

3. There should be no double vote for people who explain their choice with a post because 'explaining with a post' is too vague and non enforceable. What constitutes an explanation for you might be unconvincing for me. So just leave that option.

4. But to prevent 4 judges from having too much influence on the outcome, the ratio should be 60% on the poll and 40% on the judges.

And yes, I do think there should be 4 judges, because three is too small a sample size to get a fair result, especially when the judges vote count for 40%.

Hope to see the list of 6 singers soon, so that we can start PMing the song nominations!

2. good knowledge of music
3. and a diverse group coming from different backgrounds and different favorites/dislikes

yeah I'd love to be a judge! I will be active in my commenting and rating. I don't have a great knowledge of music - I'm just OK in that department. But yes, I have seen that my favourites tend to be very different from other musical people (for example, Anu Malik is one of my favourite film composers and Sonu Nigam is NOT my favourite male playback singer). So I will strongly support what some people would see as underdogs in the competition and that will result in more variety in the judge's comments!

oh also you should rename the competition to India Forums Ka Maha Muqabla or something catchy like that to garner more interest!
