Karan loves HR. Don't you remember that kewl title track HR made on Koffee With Karan for Koffee With Karan. It went something like: 'Koffee with Karan, Koffee Koffee Koffee, Koffee with Karan, Love you all'. Man that was impressive.
And he even strummed an invisible guitar whilst doing it - even though he can't play a guitar. For Karzzzzzzzzzzzz (what zzz fest that was!) he just stood there holding a guitar. And despite these two obstacles of not having a guitar. nor any talent, he still managed to play the guitar. Amazing yaar. Let's rock!!
Anyway, the reason Karan Johar never uses HR for his films is coz HR's too expensive (please refer to his tax bills for further info). Only quality fillum makers like Satish Kaushik can afford him. Jai matadi!
This is why KJo used the affordable but besura Sonu Nigam for the title tracks of Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham, Kal Ho Na Ho and Kabhi Alvida Na Kehna. Mujhe mere desh mein dil jai mata josh hindustan... err... something!!
