Himesh faces camera for KARZZZZ

After AAP KAA SURROOR - THE MOVIEE, Himesh Reshammiya has faced the camera once again for KARZZZZ.

Confirming the developments, a source associated with the crew of the film confirmed from Johannesburg, "Yes, we have kick started shooting for the film here at from Johannesburg. It is still early days but one can see how Himesh bhai is going about his job. He is far more composed and an enhanced confidence is pretty much apparent in his body language."

The source goes on to add, "Himesh bhai is going all out to make sure that KARZZZZ is an even bigger success than AAP KAA SURROOR. The songs composed and sung by him have also turned out to be fabulous. Inshallah, everyone is keeping the fingers crossed as we are looking at a special project in the making."

KARZZZZ: Himesh records superhit tunes!

As far as composer, singer and now successful actor Himesh Reshammiya is concerned, he has people on both sides of the fence, both amongst the audience as well as the critics. There are some who just cannot stand him but then there is a sizeable majority that swears by him and his work. Himesh has demonstrated his huge fan following, first through his concerts (both in India and abroad) and then by the record shattering start of his acting debut venture, AAP KA SURROOR.

Coming to his next project, the remake of Subhash Ghai's KARZ, being directed by Satish Kaushik and titled KARZZZZ, the film went on the floors, earlier this month in Johannesburg. While another actor, who will play Himesh's first 'janam' (birth) role, is yet to be officially finalized, gossip mills are already abuzz with the name Emraan Hashmi. Not surprising because he is the actor who has contributed largely to Himesh's stupendous success, especially as a playback singer.

Since its T-Series at the helm of affairs, the most important aspect of the film is the music (like in the original), and we have good news for fans of Himesh, who are literally starved for his infectous tunes. As per India's leading trade analyst, who has already sampled snatches of the album, Himesh has composed some mind-blowing tunes for the film and more importantly for his fans!

Just recently John and Bips cancelled their trip to Kenya owing to the political unrest in the country, now close on the heels is another film, Karzzz starring the well known nasal crooner Himesh Reshammiya. apparently even he has had to shift locations.

The film which was scheduled to be shot in Kenya has been relocated and is currently being shot in South Africa. Satish Kausik told us from Johnesburg "Initially we had planned to shoot it in Kenya, and I had gone location hunting last month. It was finalized but now due to the political unrest in Kenya we have shifted the location. Currently we are shooting in Johannesburg and will be leaving for Capetown. It's a 45 day schedule. Himesh and Urmila are with me and Gulshan Grover who plays the all important role of Sir Judu will join as in Capetown next week."

While Badman Gulshan Grover who is playing Sir Juda's role that was originally played by Premnath, is pretty excited about his latest film. He tells us, "After a long time, I'm getting something of this sort to play. It will have me in different getups and I'm working on my costumes and getups in Mumbai and will be leaving for Capetown next week to give the hero Himmesh a run for his movie."

Reshammiya shoots for his version of the original Karz chartbuster

Himesh Reshammiya and Shweta Kumar shot for a song for Satish Kaushik's Karzzzz last week at one of South Africa's exotic resort destinations, Emperor's Palace, in Johannesburg.

Producer Bhushan Kumar of T-Series says, "We shot our version of Karz's Dard-E-Dil (it's called Tera Chehra Jab Se Dekha in Karzzzz). In the original, Rishi Kapoor sang the song to Tina Munim at a party.

The ambience is similar but the lyrics are different — more lively and in sync with today's times. Farah Khan's assistant, Piyush is choreographing the song and Sameer is the lyricist."

Crore-worthy?

Talking about the song Bhushan adds, "Tera chehra… is a very romantic song where Himesh sees the girl (Shweta Kumar) for the first time. It's going to be one of the most expensive songs we have ever shot and will cost over a crore.

It needed a magnificent and expensive looking location. Most of the film will be shot in South Africa and later in Mumbai. Himesh has grown his hair and has lost weight for Karzzzz and cuts a dashing figure."

Talking from Jo'burg Himesh says, "I am having a blast shooting for the song. Dard-e-Dil is one of my all-time favourite songs.

I have tried to keep the emotion of the original composition intact in my new one. The music of Karzzzz has turned out as per my satisfaction.

I can say with confidence that I will be able to satisfy my fans. Especially, since they will be hearing my voice and music after almost a year with this track of mine."
