As you all must have read that there is a serious threat to the life of HR from the Mumbai underworld and there have been 2 attempts at his life from 2 different gangs and both have been foiled.
I spoke to Jeetuji (He plays the Tabla on SRGMP & SVOI) and he said that Zee TV has beefed up the security tremendously since the news has come out and its understandable.
Now there will be no strangers allowed on the sets and everyone will be checked, even the audience will go through metal detectors and there will be a constant watch on the audience on a fixed monitor. The channel had also suggested that they will shoot only with the mentors and singers and minimum crew and later add the audience shots but HR has informed them that it is not necessary if the security is good. He does not have any private securit unlike some of the other bolly stars like Aamir, Celina & Mallika but i hope he gets some.
Imagine the guts of these &^*&^^*&% that they wanted to bump HR off through some pseudo contestant on SRGMP and he was luckily not good enough to be selected. Now the second time they sent Supari shooters but they also have got arrested.
The D gang had 6 months ago asked for 1 cr from HR (as per reports in papers) but he did not pay and now the demand from Lakdawala gang of 2 cr as extortion (he even came for a telephonic interview with a channel and told him of his intentions to kill HR!) which again he is refused to pay. I have not seen or heard of many people in the film industry refuse these gangsters extortion money (specially after Gulshan kumar & Rakesh Roshan) and so Hats of to the likes of HR / Aamir & Rajukumar Santoshi for not paying and being brave.
But many people think that its more wise to pay-up the money than takeon the mumbai underworld. Plus what diff would 2cr make to HR ??? What do you guys think ?? Should he have paid?
