Yes, because I knew I was the one of the central characters and if I do justice to my role, then I would be noticed. I couldn't have asked for a better debut.
Were you apprehensive about Mallika Sherawat's presence in the film?
No, she's a wonderful person and a professional actor. This industry is big enough to accommodate everyone It gives everyone their right bread.
Since there is a big age gap between you and Himesh, did you ever feel awkward doing romantic scenes with him?
There was no awkwardness. As actors, we have to cross those barriers . I had to put on a little weight to look mature and since then, I have lost around five kilos.
Are you a fan of Himesh's music?
I'm his fan. He's been very kind to me and he's been wonderful to work with.
Since you're one of the few people who have seen Himesh without his cap, how does he look
without it?
With or without the cap, he looks good!
Along with the appreciation , you have received brickbats as well as some critics have found you 'awkward' . How do you react to such criticism?
I do my work honestly and I think I was very honest to my character as well.
