nice post sangita dear
hmm finally i managed to find one best romantic song from the 100's in my list

one song which truely makes me feel romantic from inside is Bahoon Ke Darmiyan
heres the lyrics

Bahon ke darmiya, do pyar mil rahen hai (2)
Jaane kya, bole man, dole sun, ke badan
Dharkan bani zuban

Khulte band hote labho ki, yeh an kahi
Mujhse kaheri hai, ke bard ne de bekhudi
Mil yun ke dor jaye, nas nas mein bijliyan

a lovely tune, nice lyrics, good description of the insecurity you feel in love, though choosing to fall anyway...

Cords- sorry just thought I would tell you this is from 'Maine Dil Tujhko Diya'😊

Music now wot can I say I am already in a different zone, for me music is everything; I don't think I can live without it. I would like to quote Shakespeare

If music be the food of love, play on,
Give me excess of it, that surfeiting,
The appetite may sicken, and so die.

I tried but it never happened and the first line still rules "If music be the food of love, play on".

I don't know how to choose, it's like asking me which is your favorite child but i'll still try.

Chaudvin Ka Chand Ho, Ya Aaftaab Ho
Jo Bhi Ho Tum Khuda Ki Kasam, Lajawab Ho (Chaudvin Ka Chand)

choo laney do nazuk hoonton ko
kuch aur nahi hai jaam hai yeh
qudrat nay jo hum ko bakhsha hai
wo sab se haseen inaam hai yeh
choo laney do nazuk honton ko.. (kajal)

Door Rehekar Na Karo Baat, Kareeb Aajao,
Yaad Rehejayegi Yeh Raat, Kareeb Aajao,
Ik Mudat Se, Tamanna Thi, Tumeh Chuneki,
Aaj Bas Mein Nahin, Jazbaat, Kareeb Aajao, (amanaat)

Choo kar mere man ko kiya tune kya ishara
Badla ye mausam lage pyara jag sara (yarana)

dilbar mere kab tak mughe, ayese hee tadapaaoge
mai aag dil mein lagaa doongaa wo, ke pal mein pighal jaaoge
sochoge jab mere baare mein tanahaeeyon me
gheer jaaoge aaur bhee meree parachhaeeyon me
dil machal jaayegaa, pyaar ho jaayegaa (satte pe satta)

Haila sang this will just not stop I can go on n on, you have started a dangerous topic for me. Can i do my english romantic no too, pls pls.....

"Music is what feelings sound like"

This is what I believe in and so i have different kinds of music i listen to depending on how i am feeling. Infact my day starts with music...bhajans, shabads or mantras. Their reverberation as i go about my chores in the morning just gives me so much optimism and rejuvenates me to face the day.

I like instrumental music when I am in a contemplative mood - anything from Ravi Shankar to Kenny G

I am a big Jagjit Singh fan and I love all his ghazals but if i have to choose one it will be ' Tumko Dekha to yeh Khayaal aaya' as I have lots of memories attached to this one and every time i listen to it I am transported to a different world

Tumko dekhaa to ye kayaal aayaa
zindagii dhuup tum ghanaa saayaa
aaj phir dilane ek tamannaa kii - (2)
aaj phir dilako hamane samajhaayaa
zindagii dhuup tum ghanaa saayaa...

tum chale jaaoge to soche nge - (2)
hamane kyaa khoyaa- hamane kyaa paayaa
zindagii dhuup tum ghanaa saayaa...

ham jise gunagunaa nahii n sakate - (2)
vaqt ne aisaa giit kyuu n gaayaa
zindagii dhuup tum ghanaa saayaa...

Some other Hindi songs which I love are

Kabhi Kabhi (kabhi kabhi), Tujhe dekha (DDLJ), Thoda sa pyar hua hai(Maine Dil Tujhko Diya), Tere Liye (Veer Zaara), Aap ki aankhon mein (Ghar), Tum Dena Saath mera(Jurm), Tum se Milke( Parinda), Suraj Hua Maddham( KKKG),Kisi Nazar ko (Aitbaar)

hey sangita

loved ur post coz i feel the same abt music. music is magical. ur words r so apt. i live on music, and am incomplete without my pod. i love old songs (happy and romantic ones), few ghazals, songs by KK (pal is one of my all time favs), Shaan, Rahat fateh ali khan, and loads of others. Am a big fan of international music, but Indian music rules. cant choose favs, but music can take me to the highest high from d lowest low.

there's this song "music of the night" from the play phantom of the opera, love the lyrics. U can download d song n listen to it. u might not like it at first but it'll grow on u. if not, below are the lyrics. lemme know if u like'em.

Nighttime sharpens, heightens each sensation
Darkness stirs and wakes imagination
Silently the senses abandon their defenses

Slowly, gently, night unfurls its splendour
Grasp it, sense it, tremulous and tender
Turn your face away from the garish light of day
Turn your thoughts away from cold, unfeeling light
And listen to the music of the night

Close you eyes and surrender to your darkest dreams
purge your thoughts of the life you knew before
Close your eyes, let your spirit start to soar
And you'll live as you've never lived before

Softly, deftly, music shall caress you
Hear it, feel it, secretly posess you
Open up your mind,
Let your fantasies unwind
In this darkness which you know you cannot fight
The darkness of the music of the night

Let your mind start a journey through a strange, new world
Leave all thoughts of the life you knew before
Let your soul take you where you long to be!
Only then can you belong to me

Floating, falling, sweet intoxication
Touch me, trust me, savour each sensation
Let the dream begin, let your darker side give in
To the power of the music that I write
The power of the music of the night

You alone can make my song take flight
Help me make the music of the night

signed up today, urs was d first post i read.
hey everyone!!
have an awesome day ahead
