This is a beautiful thread on Rafi ji. Loved reading each and every post of yours. You put lot of effort on making this thread.

One thing I wanna say about Rafi ji is whenever I listen to his songs is he actually gets lost in the song. If it's a romantic song, his voice turns romantic. If it's a sad song, his voice turns sad. It's as if he is imagining himself in the situation of that movie character he is singing for. He imagines himself in pain or in love etc etc.

For example, this is one of his songs that were never released. This song is about a guy who is probably mocking someone for being a hypocrite or something like that. If you listen to this song, you'll feel like Rafi ji himself is in that mood to mock someone.

Even Kishore Kumar and Mukesh also used to be like him. Their voices had that pain, that emotions. They were not singing just for the sake of singing. All these singers, Kishore, Rafi, Mukesh used to put their heart and soul into their songs. This is something which is lacking in today's singers. Just recently I was listening to a song which was supposed to be a sad one but the way the singer was singing it as if she was on cloud nine.
