In fact, it is not a hidden gem, it is a well known gem! These lyrics reveal the harshest truths of life. Beautifully penned lyrics that include Shailendra's interpretation of life. Incredible music by Shankar Jaikishan. Great singing by Lata , Mohammed Rafi, Mukesh and the entire chorus team. Memorable acting by Rajkapoor and Nargis . Beautiful picturisation. A visual treat with many heart touching scenes.

Song: Ramayya Vastawaiyya | Shree 420 (1955)

Singer : Lata Mangeshkar, Mohd.Rafi & Mukesh

Music : Shankar Jaikishan

Lyrics : Shailendra

Unreleased song of Mukesh.

“Na Kajre Ki Dhar” song Kalyanji Anandji ne 1960 mein composed kiya tha, Mukesh ne gaaya aur Indeevar ne lyrics likhe thay. but vo film release nahi hui.

https://youtu.be/0SwDeGXnwYE

30 saal baad, Kalyanji’s son Viju Shah (music director) ne iss unreleased song ko Mohra film mein use kiya. But I like Mukesh's version.

Hi all. I was chatting with Lizzie so well not much into music but there r some version. I m not asking Google uncle.😂😂 This is from my memories.

Very old song famous one from mohd Rafi. Not sure Any one heard or not

Suno suno eh duniya walon bapu ki amar kahani

Woh bapu jo pujya itna jitna ganga maa ka pani .

Very soulful melody and tribute to Mahatma Gandhi

The last lines in this song.

30 janvari shaamko bapu birla ghar se bahar aaye. Can't remember last line here but it's wonderful piece of tribute..

On level with aye mere vatan ke logon

Then there is one most famous jugalbandi by Kishore Kumar and manna dey

Ek chatur naar from film padosan

No one can create that magic at all.

This was desi music

Coming to international out of my memories

One is Stevie wonder song .

I just called to say I love you.

This tune i think was copied in Maine pyar Kiya film song

Then there was one band Boney M

Oh man what a group. The dancer in the middle there was excellent.

Ra ra Rasputin

Ma baker

Daddy cool

All of them from by gone eras..

This is a rare gem where desire gleams in the shifting hues of the sky like a multicoloured diamond! Memories fade away like a moon reflecting on a river with rippling waves!

Take a look at the second section: tears are streaming from her eyes like a pearl dropping from her cheek, as yearning seeks support like a fallen dew drop in the morning for a fragile petal! An uncommon gem with multiple dimensions!

Mr. O.P. Nayyar recorded his first composition in 1945 as Non Filmi song, written by his wife Saroj Mohini Nayyar and sung by C.H. Atma.

Later, Geeta Dutt sang this song for Madhubala for Mr. & Mrs. 55.

Hi all. Today is birth anniversary of greatest legend Kishore Kumar.. no matter how much we praise him as greatest the taareef praise is never enough.

So today remembering best of his songs .

Some of the songs just give meaning to life. So out of memory........

1) Zindagi ka safar hai yeh kaisa safar

Koi samjha nahi koi jaana nahi.

2) zindagi ek Safar hai suhana

Yahan kal kya ho kisne jaana

3) chalte chalte mere yeh geet yaad rakhna kabhi alvida na kahna

4) romantic songs. Mere sapno ki rani, roop Tera mastana

The list is endless here ..

If I write all songs oh well can imagine the storage here 😂😂😂

Those I feel r real gems and not restricted to one era. They r timeless...

Kishoreda was a legend. His comic songs are as loved as his serious ones.

Sharing a rare early Kishoreda - Lataji duet

Mohabbat ki basti basayenge hum

Film: Fareb (1953)

Music: Anil Biswas

Lyrics: Majrooh Sultanpuri

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CUyS80OAhc8

I love the way this tune ebbs and flows - Anilda composed a great tune and Kishoreda sounds different here, this was before playback singing stardom had found him and I may be one of those rare people who love Kishoreda's 50s-60s songs more than the ones he did later in the 70s-80s when he actually ruled the playback singing realm.

I m like heard him much later and realised his voice is magical and his comic timings. When I mentioned the concert I went to. PPL who came to see mostly wanted to enjoy the concert but for me that was THE KISHORE KUMAR the person himself so can imagine how excited I was. His serious songs sat quietly. His romantic songs I went in drool mode and masti songs I was clapping hard 😂😂

The above song which u put never heard but such soulful song.

I cant even describe the magic he had created with his voice
