Lekin samajh nai aa raha kya kehna chah rahe ho.
When you make a comparison, it should has some similarity. You are saying BW represents Indian music industry because its more famous world wide? That's very debatable, because BW music does not equate to Indian music. It would still make sense if you are only comparing Pakistani movie music (which most of us here have no idea about). We know few singers just because they have worked in the Indian film industry.
There is no parameter to even make a comparison here, you are limiting the Indian music industry with BW alone, while you want to compare all genres of Pakistani music (where people hardly know much about it here).
From what I know, Pakistani still has bands and album culture while it doesn't thrive here. So how would you even compare?

see we abroad people only know Bollywood as a medium for indian songs , and only singer who sang for bollywood are popular worldwide
I don't know where "abroad" do you live, but Punjabi/Bhangra music is probably the most popular Indian music among the Non-residents...Indian parties to Universities ethnic parties to Weddings...75% songs are Bhangra. Then you have the South Indian music which is another huge scene. There's maybe 1 Bollywood song in the top 10 Views on YT, dominated by Bhangra. So no Bollywood doesn't represent "Indian" at all. It's just your lack of knowledge. Plus Bollywood remakes everyones songs, not just Pakistani. And Pakistanis copy just as much, its just that nobody listen to them. 😆
Your user name always makes me hum piya tu ab toh aaja song 🤣

I guess more than bollywood music, Pakistan in the field of music was way more richer i guess so because since 90's Nadeem Shravan , Anand Miland , Anu Malik , Jatin Lalit used so many Pakistani songs to their credit and now even Bol Kafaara and Lut Gaye, Main Jis Din Bhula Dun of Jubin are Pakistani songs remake
Dude, if you're gonna put Jatin-Lalit, Anand-Milind and Anu Mallik in the same bracket as Nadeem-Shravan in terms of this...😆
The other three actually have many original hits to their credits and Anu Mallik and Anand-Milind did a lot of different genres.
Nadeem-Shravan won their Filmfares for blatant plagiarising, literally every song is lifted from M.Ashraf's work. Whatever success they got, or if they're considered #1...what a shame.
Plus regarding plagiarising, music companies and producers did pressurize the composers. Idk about the other two but Anand (Milind) recently mentioned it on his Instagram.
Coming to Pakistani music...the entire Northern belt of India and Pakistan share similarities in culture, you really think drawing a border would change that 😆
And if Pakistan has Punjabi, Sindhi, Balochi music plus Lollywood and TV show OSTs, India is a bigger country so there's obviously more variety. There's Punjabi, Himachali, Marathi, Gujarati, Bengali, Goan...and South is an altogether different zone 😆
I agree . Pakistani Coke studios are lit
