Can you recommend some good music for me?

I recently started going out with this woman, who is a single mother of two. I've grown closer to her younger son, but it's the eldest daughter I'm having a hard time connecting with. My girlfriend says that her daughter loves listening to music, but I'm pretty sure we don't have the same taste. What are some good, modern musicians that young Colombian women listen to these days? Can you recommend some good music for me?
