Just when singer Himesh Reshammiya was gung-ho about the response to the promo of Aap Kaa Surroor, he least expected a discrepancy over 'song' rights...

At the Aap Ka Surroor concert in the United Kingdom, Himesh Reshammiya announced his debut as an actor in a high-budget, dramatic thriller – Aap Kaa Surroor. Soon a sleek promo was being televised across channels and the song Tanhaiyaan was vouched as 'gripping'.
Gripping it sure was, but it also ruffled some feathers, as, within a fortnight came Bollywood producer Boney Kapoor's alleged comment stating that the said song was recorded for his forthcoming film Milenge Milenge.
Taken by surprise, Himesh Reshammiya defended himself, saying, "Tanhaiyaan is my song, composed, sung and even recorded by me, totally at my cost. Since I am the music composer of Boney Kapoor's movie, many months ago, I did make him listen to this song. Then, he had really liked it but could not include it, as nine tracks for his film (recorded by me) were already selected. I've been trying to get in touch with Boneyji since the past seven months, and since there was no progress on the film, I decided to include this song in my acting debut."
Speaking from London, sounding a little pained on the producer's alleged comment, the singer added, "I respect Boneyji immensely and don't want to hurt his sentiments, but the question about the rights of Tanhaiyaan being owned by anybody else other than me just does not arise."
The discrepancy has however stoked the promo hype. Himesh's dialogue 'Bhagwaan ka screenplay bhi ajeeb hain…' is catching on. With nine new tracks, the entire film is picturised across 18 countries and will usher two new Indian faces. Going by the promo response, many feel that a well-toned Himesh does appear promising in the role of an actor.
