1. How long have you been practicing/playing the guitar and keyboard?! I learned to play the keyboard for about 3 months. I had one hour lesson per week as I had school and other stuff going on too. Guitar - I have been trying to learn this summer from about a month or two now. :)

2. What/who was your motivation and inspiration to learn the guitar and keyboard?! Do any other family members play?! For the keyboard, well my late uncle (dad's elder sister husband) presented it to me. He was a musician as well as owned a musical instruments shop in mumbai, and his children (Salim-Sulaiman...the music directors of movies like Kaal), learned to play the keyboard on the very same instrument. :p He always saw me playing w/ the instrument when I was at his shop or home and so he came home on my Birthday...I think around '96 (?) and presented me this instrument that I really treasure. He passed away a year after that... and I guess he and my dad, who has ear for music where my motivation for it. For the guitar, well lets just say i love it coz its cool😆 lol, no I love the tunes from many movies... and I always wanted to learn it. Right now, I still dont own the guitar. Its my friends guitar who went back home for the summer and knowning my craziness about her guitar or just guitars in general gave it to me. I was supp to join classes this summer....but umm, too much of work load w/ classes didnt allow me to get to that. However this fall I will go to the guitar classes at my uni... and prob buy a guitar at my uncles shop. *sorry for the long story😳* So, no one in my immediate family knows how to play these instruments, my dad and bro can play a few tunes from diff movies but thats about it. 😳 *edit* i suffer from memory loss...lol, guitar i wanted to learn when i got to play and learn a song on it at the "experience music" place in seattle.😃 that place Rocks!!!😃

Please describe/explain to us the major parts of the guitar and the keyboard! ermmmm, lol guitar...as I said I am learning online..so I dont have a strict instructor making me learn names...hehe, but I do keep this picture open while reading instructions. I am learning from two websites. The main one is guitarnoise.com

4. In terms of playing, to what other instrument is the guitar closest?! The keyboard?! Keyboard should be closest to the piano...some what. It doesnt have that foot pedal that some of the pianists described here. So, it is a little easier. Guitar...ermm, i don't know. Hehe, these are the two instruments I have played. But, umm I am guessing another string instrument like a violin, maybe?😕

5. Who, if any, is your favorite guitarist?! Keyboard player?! Why is he/she/they your favorite?! lol...umm can't think of any...but I like elvis presley's songs😛

6. Where in your house do you keep your guitar and your keyboard?! In India, I kept it in my cupboard safely in one corner😛 and over here I have the guitar which stays in the comp/office/library room😆

7. When and where do you find it most relaxing/soothing to play the guitar and keyboard?! i will talk about the guitar...coz keyboard was when my teacher came and around an hour or two bfore he did, i practised playing *bad student*. For the guitar, i play it in the evenings w/ a cup of yummmy hot chocolate or some tea and my laptop w/ the website instructions on.😃

8. When you are playing either, describe your emotions at that moment (how does it make you feel)?! Umm, seriously, guitar...lol the sound coming out of the guitar is so soothing and seriously, i never hear a bad note out of it...even when I didn't know any note...anything at all, and just randomly hit the strings...the music was nice.😕 I guess that calms me...and sort of excites me too...coz i keep playing random notes b/w learning something new everytime😆

9. If you were given a chance to portray your talent at an event, to which song/musical would you play for each instrument?! Why?! i wish i could think of any...hehe, does the song in bride and prejudice count😆 hehe, i love the song "i just want to be your teddy bear" by elvis presley...but i am not sure what instrument is in the background. and oo phantom of the opera...but i think thats mostly piano...sheesh, i suck at this interview😆

10. Is there any other instrument that you would like to learn how to play?! If so, which one(s)?!violin😃, the piano😃 and the flute😃

11. Why do you think that they don't show characters in movies playing the keyboard in any scenes (like they do a piano)?! ahaha, they show kids yaar playin it.😆 and aren't i a 17 year old kid😳😆 lol, i really don't know y...piano looks much grand, i guess.😊

12. What does "guitar" mean?! "Keyboard?!" (If you know)!guit means "music", and -tar a means "string" or "chord"...i think😕
