Abhay Deol is hoping Ahista Ahista will not go the Socha Na Tha way

New Delhi, August 16: I'm not good at marketing myself, but given a chance I'd love to endorse clothes," says Abhay, the third Deol out to try his luck in tinsel town. Hopefully, he won't have to resort to it before managing a foothold in Bollywood. In the city with co-star Soha Ali Khan to promote Ahista Ahista which releases this Friday, Deol is slow on expectations after his debut Socha Na Tha fizzled out without a fuss.

"It's a small budget movie, but its USP is that it has a simple story, so people can relate to it," says Deol of the romantic flick, where he plays a witness in a marriage registration office, who falls for Khan, a small-town girl who elopes with her boyfriend (Shayan Munshi) only to be ditched by him in the city. The movie is directed by Shivam Nair, who has previously worked on TV serials.




"The movie has more to it than good music, so the promotion could have been better," says the down-to-earth Deol of the lacklustre pre-release gimmick, even as Khan kept busy checking out the jewellery at the D'damas store at GK-II.

Deol will be seen next in Ek Challis Ki Last Local wth Neha Dhupia and in Honey Moon Travels with Minissha Lamba. Khan, meanwhile, has her hands full with Bahut Nikle Mere Armaan, Postcard and Meridian. "Ahista Ahista is very real. The best part is the music by Himesh Reshammiya," she says. The best thing, of course, would be a ringing box-office response.
