Deiva darisanam today! Kavitha, Swathi and Vasanthi doing anga pradakshinam in the temple, interspersed with scenes from the surgical team comparing the sizes of the swabs and Lord Nataraja idol (though I did gather that this was a Mariamman temple - so what is the significance of showing Lord Nataraja every few seconds) surgery has been declared a success, Kavitha, KS and brothers are all very happy, Sada comes in, KS thanks him profusely, then Kavitha thanks him and compares him to KadavuL. He leaves, after giving a few black and white shots, adjusts his collar, etc., to show he is a villain, after all!

Sorry folks, we had a very slow Internet yesterday and this morning!

Swati and Vasanthi at home - mom Meena comes there, they tell her they are worried about how people will talk since this accident happened immediately after the wedding, she tells them about MK's surgery going off well, also about Janaki's talk at the hospital - time for a joint RKO! I am not going into detail about the oppari - KS comes home, updates everyone, tells PS to go to the godown. KK comes in, she had gone to the josiyar to ask about getting a new date fixed for the shanti muhurtham which was disrupted by this accident. I have a question here - doesn't KK take her pill for her heart any more? Did they order a fresh supply of pills after they returned? Just an idle thought of mine! She says the josiyar said it could be done today, so she asks KS to call the sons and ask them to come home quickly so they can make the arrangements. Vasanthi tells Meena she wants to talk to her, Meena asks what, and she calls her aside. KS asks her to go and find out what the girls are trying to tell her.

Update for Wed, Nov 17, 2010:

Lot of crying today, so I am keeping it brief!

Swati and Vasanthi take Meena to the kitchen and tell her that they want to postpone the shanti muhurtham till MK comes home. They don't want to have a happy function in the house while Kavitha is still crying, they want to put it off till she can also be happy with them. (mini Oppari here!) Meena reluctantly goes and tells KS about their request, and he is thrilled that the girls are sharing in their sister's sorrow instead of letting her weep alone. He is full of praise for Meena's parenting skills.

Now the big oppari - Kavitha begs, coaxes and cajoles the nurse into letting her spend some time with MK in the ICU - that took about 4 minutes of screen time, while she explained how her thali was still so fresh, took it out for the nurse and all of us to inspect, finally the nurse relented and let her in. Then she cries, vichukkifies, cries some more, leans over him and cries (sorry, I didn't pay attention to what she was saying at that point, I continued with what I was doing in the kitchen!), stands back and watches him breathing with the oxygen mask, sobs some more, ...

Thamizh parents gloating about their parental kills. A temple priest delivers prasadam to Thamizh , Prasad has done archanai in her name. Family is surprised , & wonders whether Prasad is back in India , AM offers to go to Eka's house to find out , Thamizh says no , when a car draws at their door & Prasad alights from it.

Adhisayam aanal uNmai....Friday without RKO

Early Morning . Kavitha back home from the hospital for morning ablutions. KK is praying to Magic Thatha for the quick recovery of MK. Kavitha updates MK's condition ... no major improvement , doctors too not coming out with clear picture , may take another 10-15 days before anything concrete is known. KK is now more worried on further delay for the shanthi muhartham , kavi gets to know about her sister's decision to postpone it . Kavi goes on an advising spree to sisters...if this news reaches MK's ears he will feel guilty for having spoilt his brother's happiness , further their decision might hurt even KK & KS , so better accept for the D muhartham. Akka sollai thattadhe. So double OK from thangachis. KK then veratufies KS to get the auspicious time from Josiyar. Karthik , the silent listener to these conversation , already in romantic mood .Jollu vittufying at Swathi who shyly runs away.

Best part .Break showing the trailer of the film Baby's day out....adorable kid .So cuteeeeeee

A worried & disturbed AM staggers along the road. Sits on the roadside due to some discomfiture. KS' car passes by that side & picks him up .

Thala [ Sada ] with his 2 sycophants in their rendezvous. Sada upset with the failure of his first attempt at MK. Vows to kill him in the hospital. One of the adiyaL advises him to leave the matter to them as they are more experienced while Sada is a novice in this trade. Adamant Sada refuses to budge ,wants to finish off MK with his own hands for having usurped his lady love. Heated argument ensue between them. In the process Sada hits him on the head with a flask. The adiyaL starts bleeding , is wheeled in to the hospital where MK is undergoing treatment. [Excessive white flashes to show that villain has arrived in the hospital. Quite disturbing to eyes]].Adiyal admitted in the hospital , gets vision of Sada's instruction- finish off MK in the hospital. Dreadful close up view of adiyaL with excessive white flashes.

KS & AM driving in the car. KS wonders what could be the reason for the sudden shoot up of AM's BP. AM narrates about Prakash's visit & his decision to call off the marriage. KS is shocked , feels guilty as KK was mainly responsible for the fiasco , wants to make amends , calls Thamizh who was sharing her sorrow with her friend , & expresses his wish to talk to her .

Hospital....close up view of villain's face ....blue , pink white flashes ...slowly slowly he walks towards MK's room , gives him an evil look. Flashes once again , camera alternating between MK's face , the life saving devices & the villain. Finally sporting the same evil smile, cuts off oxygen supply . The camera freezes on heaving MK's face.

Freeze

Tues - Muthu is fine, after all!👏 He is not the lead character for nothing.

Update for Tuesday, Nov 23, 2010:

I like the blue sari in the opening credits!

KS tells Tamil he appreciates her being a goal oriented person at this tender age, and he says he will set her up in a sweets shop, he will put up the money, which she can consider as a loan if she does not want to accept it as a gift. AM is moved and says it is not his decision. KS wants the store to be named Meenakshi Sweets Store after OQ Meena, and she is moved. Tamil is not moved and she says she will think about his offer and let him know in a day or two.

After KS leaves, Tamil's friend tells her she should accept the offer, how can she ever achieve anything as long as she works in someone else's store as an employee? She did not ask for the help, this has come to her. Meena echoes friend's sentiments.

KS is writing something, PS wants him to look at the wedding accounts, KS says it is not necessary, PS insists, KS shoos him away, he persists. KK comes in, so KS asks her to decide, PS tells her about looking at the wedding accounts, she echoes KS and tells PS that there should be only affection between them, not money. KK wants to know if she can take the paal sombus and give to the DILs as suggested by athai, KS wants to know why he has to be asked if athai has already okayed it, and shoos her away.

Nighttime - Tamil is gazing at the moon and remembering Prakash and all their conversations, Meena comes in, says she knows how Tamil is suffering. Tamil denies that, says she met Prakash only two or three times, and it will not be hard to forget him, but Meena says she knows how the first love is not forgotten (I hope this does not mean that the director will introduce a first love for Meena later and prolong this agony). Tamil says she can handle all problems as long as she has her mother by her side.

Swathi and Vasanthi comparing notes on their hubbies, V says she hasn't had time to talk to Sara (as if Shyless will allow you to do so!) but Swathi says Karthi is very nice and like a jackfruit - prickly on the outside and soft on the inside (and I don't like the smell of jackfruit!). KK comes in, gives them the milk and asks them to go to their rooms.

Karthi, the jackfruit, is waiting, with a grim, mean look on his face. Another foot stabbing tomorrow?

Wed - just declared it as No Oppari Day!

Sure enough, there were no Opparis!

Update for Wed, Nov 24, 2010:

KK gives the milk sombu to Vasanthi and Swathi. Swathi goes to the room, puts the sombu on the table, then goes upto Karthi, kneels and touches his feet (slavery?), and he has this grim look on his face and tells her to go to the cupboard and get the thing inside it. She looks shocked, goes slowly to the cupboard, opens it slowly, looks back, opens it and ... sees mallipoo and halwa inside! She has this smile on her face, he comes up, she turns around and says she thought he was asking her to get brandy for him, but he has bought mallipoo and halwa for her (do people really get these things? Nobody told my husband about it!) He does a lot of vazhinjifying, and she gives these big smiles, which make you wonder why she had such an azhumoonji look earlier. She is really pretty when she smiles.

She takes out the flowers and gives them to Karthi, then slowly turns around and asks him to place them in her hair. He takes the flowers and does a good job of placing them in her hair, unlike some men I know! Then they murmur some sweet nothings to each other, and coo away in ecstasy.

On the other hand, Sara is doing something on the computer when Vasanthi enters, she acts like a nutcase and asks him if she is pretty, he wants to know why she has so much makeup on, she still doesn't get the idea and tells him that Prema said she was lovely, and what does he think, and if he says she is beautiful, it really means something, and so on till even I get irritated so I can't blame him too much. Right then, his phone rings, and yes, it is the Shameless one! She is all dressed up in a pink silk sari with lots of jewelry on her. He looks at it, turns it off, she rings again, he answers, she wants him to come there immediately, he says he can't, and she says why not? and if he doesn't come, she doesn't know what she is going to do, so he better come right now, and puts down the phone. Vasanthi asks who it was, and he says his senior (what a term!), then explains that it is his boss. Shameless calls again, Vasanthi turns it off, so now she calls the house line. KS answers the phone, she doesn't say anything, rings again, KS answers again, again she keeps quiet, he gets annoyed, tells KK it is someone who doesn't answer, KK says it is probably a wrong number, they go inside. The phone rings again, Sara answers this time, she asks him how dare he shut off his mobile, if he doesn't answer his mobile, she will keep calling the house line and not let anyone in his house get any sleep (this woman is a real nutcase!) KS comes there, asks who it was, and Sara says it was a wrong number. He goes back to his room, Vasanthi is holding his phone and looking at it, he grabs his phone and goes outside to answer it ...

A brief update folks .

Shyless tortures Sara and he is forced to go to her house. Vasanthi says that
she will manage to keep his sojourn under wraps. Sara leaves. Vasanthi
appeals to magic thatha that he should take care of all the transformers
" so that my hubby will be with me and you can dream of great grand kids"
Sara goes to Shyless who rides the high horse as usual. Sara says that his
love for her does not exist "stop this torture" Shyless agrees to do so provided
he ties the proverbial noose. Sara categorically denies.Shyless as usual lists
all the "good" done by her. Sara says "go and fly a kite" Tells her that her first
husband ran away as he could not stand this psycho. Shyless agrees and says
that she readily gave herself as she loves Sara . Sara says that she "used" him
as a comforter " adicha mazhai kku, you used me. Ennai pidicha graham....I touched
you...but after that have I ever touched you?? And ever since you said that you gave
me life picchai, , I hate you" Shyless instigates Vasanthi for all this new found guts
and Sara defends his wife " Don't you dare talk about her. The moment I had to leave,
she promised to hold forte..." Sara stands his ground....Shyless is livid..
