First Regarding molki show I don't think the public ever follow the instructions on disclaimer they introduced with the episode ...

This show has not romanticized Molkki tradition. It is just depicting a truth about our society. These marriages happen and from the very first day, the show through it's female lead has expressed how wrong that tradition is and the whole plot of it is based on how she wants to free herself from this relationship.

And showing that a character is raped is hardly perverted. The show has treated these scenes with extreme sensitivity, making sure to highlight the trauma of the victims. At no point the actions of these perpetrators were shown in a sympathetic light or were trivialized. Anyone who watches those scenes would feel disgust for the abusers and sympathy for the victim.

Also, not showing a crime on the screens doesn't make it go away. A film or a tv soap only depicts the reality of the society they live in. So India's crisis is not because a tv serial shows it's characters going through sexual assault but the other way around.

Even then, if the content disturbs you in anyway, don't watch it. You have that right. But please don't question the morality of the people who are associated with it, writing it, producing it or watching it because you don't have that right.
