Hello dear friends…………………
Many of you wanted to know who this witch on the forum is. Let me tell you a bit about myself. In the Netherworld, way down in Hell as you earthlings call it, is my place of abode. I am different from all of you. Yet I have a family like all of you do.
In the dark grey rivers by our country side, where the thick waters bubble and flow, is a hillock. Atop this, is a castle with barren trees all around. Bats, owls, rats, frogs and of course my little cats are all there living with me. Some of them are my best friends. I live here with my father and his sisters, my three aunts. My mother does not live with us. I am told she is dead. My father's family is rather kind. I mean as far as the creatures from my world can be. But my father is indeed very kind. Almost human. I take after him. My aunts are Wichita, Winona and Winifred. My dad is Wilkins. He is a specialist. He has a huge library and immerses himself in books of witchcraft. He is a Master Wizard. But his recognition was stripped since the day he started making antidotes and counter spells to temper down evil designs. The Witch world frowned upon him and called him a traitor. He is not a traitor, he is a very clever man and I love him very much.
He showers love on me. At a drop of a wand I used to get whatever I wanted. Funnily we have an ostrich in our menagerie. Really funny, isn't it? What happened was that my father wanted to create a condor to take care of me. He probably went wrong in his calculations and created an ostrich cum vulture. He called him Vulrich. It is a stupid bird. Huge but can't fly. He runs pretty fast. Since we have no horses, I sometimes ride him instead. My broom I use for flying. But Vully is very sincere and loyal to us. My aunts are the mean variety and they only like their cats, their bats and their rats. In order to keep Vulrich safe, my dad feeds him a gruel that is quite potent. I shall show you all their photos……..I mean all their sketches which I have drawn and kept in my folder.
My father met my mother Melancholy at the Wartford. This is a school that teaches witchcraft. Her sister that is Aunt Malicious was also there. This was supposed to be an A grade institution. My aunt is a very beautiful witch. She really is. So svelte and poised. Her quick brain is always on an evil spree, scheming and plotting. She and my father never saw eye to eye. My mother was the milder of the two sisters. She fell in love with my dad and Aunt Malicious threw a fit. She reported the matter to my grandfather Meano who banished my mother forever. My father married Melancholy and a few years later, I was born. I was called Wendy. Aunt Malicious dropped by to see me. She spat fire. She couldn't believe that she was the aunt of such an ugly thing. She tried to take me away to her city. But my parents would have none of it. She needed a person to carry down her secrets and since she was not married, she wanted me to learn her tricks.
Aunt Malicious had visited my mother once, when my father wasn't there. She and my mother argued for hours. In a burst of rage, she called upon all the powers she had and threw them at my mother. The noise was atrociously loud. My father came running from the attic. But he didn't come in time. He and my aunt were at a war of spells. My three aunts joined in and somehow they managed to vanquish Malicious. After that I never saw my mother. I was just a toddler then. Nobody talks about my mother. Not even Aunt Malicious. She still visits. My father never begrudges her meeting me. She is not sharp with me. But she still tries to win me over so that I go away with her. But I love Witchington Castle…….er that's the name of our house and ---- my family. I know my mother is not dead. Aunt Malicious said she maybe on earth looking for a bauble.
Now that I am an adult, I come on my earthly visits to try and find my mother. And during one of these sojourns, I met Sprite. She is an eternal fairy with gossamer wings. Actually my arch enemy, but now that I know her, I think of her as a friend. After reading my background, I hope all of you still remain my friends. Here is a picture of me as a little baby. It's in black and white. I want you to neither see the colour of my skin nor the colour of my eyes. I have only two warts. One near my lip and the other near my eyebrow. My baby teeth are jagged and my smile is lopsided. I love that cute little hat. See that hairy creature? Was my pet called Spidy.
