There isn't much to write about actually......

lets see......

my father...miraculously remembered my birthday.....miraculous because he always gets a msg in the morning to remind him its one of his children's bday and than in the afternoon we get an sms or he comes home and is like HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!! and off course he'll never admit that he got a reminder...would say that he knew it was your birthday...😆 fathers are a strange breed😆strange but adorable 🤗

my younger bro's bday is also in June.....on the 2nd....and i msgd my father to remind him that its his youngest's birthday......and apparently he determined that he will not forget mine at any cost....and he actually remembeed that its my bday on 12th......and he wished me as well😊 i was skeptical....thinking my bro msgd him but no he did on his own😆how sweet !

as for the day itself............well nothing much on it..................

bro came home for the weekend...but my father couldnt make it on the day itself...he works in another city ...so came on Saturday....breakfast.......aloo ke paranthay...with raita (who cares its summmer😆) lunch and dinner at home...my favorite dishes.......including Biryani (i hope i m not the only non-veg person here😳) were part of the menu....there was one more chicken dish.....the sole vegetable being Karelay......and oh there were saabat masar ki daal as well......i call it kaali daal...sounds easier...basically my favorite vegetable and daal😆😆😆..dessert was ice cream ... and rus milai😳 Yummmmy ....... what a treat !!!!!!

And in the evening.....we went out for the heck of it and bought some goodies ....including a cake.....death by chocolate....... i ate most of it😳 my father barely got a slice or two when he came home😆 also went to this really good book shop and bought more trashy novels to read like which ???? .......and yes watched some cricket... cool ......😃......i spent most of my day on phone and internet of course you had to celebrate with your virtual pals as well !!!!..... 'course because of the security situation in my city...things were a bit tense so couldnt make very elaborate plans......... I know .... whenever I watch the news 😔 .... I think of you and hope everything is OK 🤗 ....... !

I will now try to go to this new supermarket in the area.....pretty cool place actually.....my father still needs to give me a present.......both a bday one and a graduation one.......lets see....it isnt unusual for me to get bday gifts a month after the fact....

as for mom....she bought me these really expensive suits WOW !!! .....lil bro is still a student so cant exactly make expensive demands of him.....i told him the gift i wanted from him........dvds of the seasons of some of my favorite dramas.....and dvds of gossip girl as well.....never seen this one before but intend to.......plus....he has asked me to draw up a list of fav movies and he'll bring those dvds as well when he comes home for the summer break next month very sweet of him !!! .......since he plans on going online from his colg labs and download all this stuff.......for free.......all he need to spemd money on is rite able dvds.....😛😆

elder bro.....he asked me to prepare a bday wishlsit and he'll bring home the stuff next time he comes......am still thinking sbout it......will be a pretty elaborate list probably😆 i was always the considerate one I can imagine 🤗 ! ...thinking i shouldnt ask for anything to expensive and all.......my younger bro however asked for a digital camera last time bhai was coming home.....and he got the latest one.....so this time....i wont be considerate😃😎 lavish...over priced and definitely soething i want .... not necessarily i need😆 ....... someone's planning to make up for lost opportunities 😆

and havent got any gifts from friends yet......we have to go to colg one ladt time to ge our transcripts .... mite take a cake to colg than but depends.........weather is too hot and cafe is likely to be closed......

well thats about it....😊....... Wonderful 👏 ..... being pampered by your family ..... what could be better ??

i cant find the newspaper rite now or would have added what my horoscope said........not that i believe in such stuff but it was a good one😆😆😆

Even the lenght of the articles is reduced now ..... it's the jet-age I suppose .... no one has time to read big articles ......

I do not like the new RD... the stories, jokes and etc of old issues were class... my school friend (she is no more now) used to subscribe and I used to borrow from her and read. And, when I was traveling, always used to buy RD. Now, it has lost its charm... not much of content and substance...,

you are absolutely right An. The old issues use to be classics we too use to subscribe it regularly but then stopped it now. When ever I use to travel by train I use to make it a point to pick it up from one of the wheeler but this time I didnt do that and picked up some other magazine instead. That magazine has lost its charm totally.
