Arwen dear!!!! 😆 😆 😆 thanks for that explanation..I didn't know that previously..but I guess certain things when done by boys seem good😆It doesn't look good on gals 😆what say???? that's why people say ...boy things and gal things 😆😆or will u now say..Vasu ,u r in a time warp!!!!!!!!!!!!😆😆😆I agree gals r quite fast these days!!!!!!!!!!😆

Ranjan! very much agree here!!!!! I herad people telling me that the caste distinctions that people here in India show🤢 r in no way compared to that racist feeling😲 it's worse than caste system..they say!!!!!!

I would say..not just skin color..these guys have everything going for them 😆😆money,influence,their imperial designs,the urge to conquer lands and rule and they have the ability to be successful there!!!! their technological achievements!! It's human nature at the end of the day to me...😆Ranjana!! until recently just look how the IT guys and gals were..wearing pride as their necklaces😆just becoz huge salaries..and they reached their hts in enjoying life😆just 10 yrs of IT Maaya😆and the whites they have been World rulers😆😆soem thousands of yrs back..the Greeks/the Romans/the Anglo-Saxon domination now...in future it will be again Europe only coz the US is seemingly losing that status😆tehre were times when I used to think ill of their racism but when i see from a typical human nature😳😆they r just proving the innate human nature !!😆there r good guys among them too!!!!!!😊 ofcourse very fewI think only hwen u r heart is changed divinely😆 ....can u love u r neighbors and embrace u r enemies too😆..until then our people will be attacked in Australiathe high and low diff wil exist as long as world exists😆😆😆phewwwwwwwww that was a long reply!!!!!!!!🥱😆😆

and its not just girls being fast nowadays............havent u noticed the role-reversal❓ men going to salons....having manicures.....facials.........make up before their weddings😆 wearing nail polishes ... kajal..........metro-sexuals in other words..........i remember once david beckham used pink nail polish on his pinkies for a photoshoot and it became a trend for a while in England😕😆😆

so if boys are getting in to tradtionally gal things....and it is a trend ... a norm rather than an exception.......y not the other way around hmm😆

After a long vacation, all the teachers were asked to come a day in advance to school. We all sighed. Oh dear........... lectures yet again. Our groanings and moanings were actually of no use. It hss become an annual ritual. However, once we reach there we enjoy ourselves.

Since I teach in a missionary school, it is imperative for us to hear all about goodness of heart and to see the Lord in every child etc etc.

So every year we get a visiting priest to give us a good "foundation" before school actually starts. This year was no exception. A tall six footer came along. A septugenarian with a very kind face and blue eyes full of laughter. You guessed it ..... he was a foreigner. This guy has now lived in India for the past mayb 15 years or so.

Anyway, he started off by telling us that he was going to tell us short stories with a moral. To prevent us from going off to sleep, there would be a drawing class side by side. We were curious. What was this? Go to sleep..........sure we would after such a long holiday and such a drab subject.

And the day started. Let me tell you how it ended. Father John told us to draw a shoe. What now ...we thought but obeyed him. He told us to exchange our papers. Most of us laughed to our pieces of art. He then told us a story.

Once upon a time, there was a king who ruled a prosperous country.

One day, he went for a trip to some distant areas of his country. When he was back to his palace, he complained that his feet were very painful, because it was the first time that he went for such a long trip, and the road that he went through was very rough and stony.

He then ordered his people to cover every road of the entire country with leather. Definitely, this would need thousands of cows' skin, and would cost a huge amount of money.

Then one of his wise servant dared himself to tell the king, "Why do you have to spend that unnecessary amount of money ? Why don't you just cut a little piece of leather to cover your feet?"

The king was surprised, but he later agreed to his suggestion, to make a "shoe" for himself.

There is actually a valuable lesson of life in this story : to make this world a happy place to live, you better change yourself - your heart; and not the world.

"Similarly," continued Fr John, "To make the school a happy place to be in, you as a teacher must change yourself - your heart, your point of view and not the child. You are here to help the child to grow and metamorphose.

Learn to see not just with your eyes but with your hearts, widen your way of thinking, constantly be creative and improvise."

Easy to say............................

"From mistakes you get hindsight, broaden your horizons and become foresighted.......this way you see and make a future. Those who persevere with God constantly beside them are the few chosen ones who become visionaries. Dear Teachers even if you don't become visionaries yourselves try to make at least one from your group one."

One of my jottings ................ thought I'd share it with you.

You know I began watching 2 serials on Real a couple of months back ...

Hindi hai hum & Namak Haram ....

HHH was about a small-town girl who comes to Mumbai ( to her brother's house ) for English lessons becos she's rejected by a groom ..( he calls her unpad-gawaar becos she does not speak in English ) ... the story was set in a English Academy and there were ppl from all over India trying to learn English for various reasons ..... It went on quite well for a few days .... then they started the familiar saas-bahu thingy ..... between her babhi and her mother ( mother also comes to live in Mumbai ) ...... now it's turned rotten .... with the brother getting a pay cut and the babhi's mother coming to stay .... and the ugly kitchen politics betw the in-laws ...... Ugghhhhh !!!!

NH .. i thot is was a beautiful idea ..... about a honest / diligent lady IAS officer ....her husband was deeply in love with her and everything was fine ... she was doing everything possible for the aam-adami .....

Her FIL is an unscruplous businessman and he influences the hubby ..... now they have introduced another male and female ..... trying the break the couple apart ..... jealousy / suspision and what not .....with the total focus on the personal life of the officer ..... forgetting everything else ...... another good concept down the drain ...

I've decided I'll not watch anything for more than 1-2 months ..... that's usually the good part ...... then comes the familiar sickening story-line ...... Ughhhhh ........

Hey Dawn good to hear from you. Actually I was busy with sundry thing but too many of them. Hows life been with you.

By the way I agree witj your choice of Vinay he is indeed cute looking not watching the show though. I am off these social ones. just wathcing Bandini regularly find it nice.

Now coming to the shows actually we should not blame Ekta at all it is the immature and naive Indian audience who cannot think beyond certian things. People do want to watch something interesting. I too got interested in Hindi hain hum though i dint like the girl, as I could connect to the show very well I too have been a trainer in one such institute and could relate to the aspirations shown in the show. However it turned out to be a dampsquib after a few episodes I think the only show which is still following its crux till now is bandini ironically another Ekta show. It is a story of a girl who is a teenager but mature beyond her years is married to this guy 3 times her age and has 5 kids who are elder to her it is a show about how she is making place in their hearts and taking up the mantle of a mother to his kids nad daughter to his inlaws and it is an interesting watch.

I think I cannot get attached to anything now after MRD and the new shows are totally hopeless.
