The episode opens with the introduction of Ambakhedi & the information about the arrival of Maamchand Chaudhary's family along with the newlywed bahu Sargam, who is Maamchand's youngest son Raghav's wife. Maamchand's wife Mahaveeri asks Sargam to go to the nearby Vatika to get Palash ke Phool for the Gaon ki devi ki puja. In the Vatika, Sargam meets Chitra, each unaware of the other's identity. While Sargam leaves the Vatika, a servant sent by Mahaveeri sees Chitra in the vicinity & is surprised. Thereafter the whole family goes to khede ka mandir for the puja. After the puja, Raghav & Sargam are asked to distribute clothes to the neechi jaat. While distributing, a stampede occurs & an old lady from neechi jaat falls, getting badly bruised. Sargam rushes to save the lady & this shock the entire household. Sargam realises that she's made a big mistake. Mamchand and family are on the way to haveli and Chaudhari Nihal Singh from the neighbouring village meets them & informs them about Satpal & Chitra, who eloped & got married against the wishes of the villages, being spotted in their village. In their small hut, Satpal & chitra are under hiding. In the meantime, a servant comes & informs Maamchand & Nirbhay that he has seen Chitra in Ambakhedi.

Chitra is worried about their future & decide to go to a hospital for the delivery. On the other hand, there is a grand welcome of Sargam into the Maamchand household, in the grihapravesh. Mahaveeri, Devlata & Rajbala take Sargam for the Kuldevi Puja, followed by the Kangana ceremony. While leaving the hospital, Nirbhay's goons see Satpal & Chitra & go behind them. The celebration in the house is in full swing, while Nirbhay & his men are out to hunt down Satpal & chitra. They reach the house of a daai who refuses to help. Satpal & chitra are again without shelter.

The rat-jaga & Sargam's moo-dikhai is on in the haveli. Nirbhay & his men are on Satpal-chitra's trail, who are desperately trying to find a secure place for Sargam to deliver safely. They finally reach Satpal's friend Bhuvan Singh's house. Bhuvan Singh after much deliberation allows the couple to take shelter. Bhuvan singh's wife realises that Bhuvan, in his helplessness, has gone to Nirbhay's goons to give information. But before Nirbhay & his men arrive along with Bhuvan, his wife succeeds in making them escape. In the haveli, Sargam sings a beautiful bhajan after the moo-dikhai is over. Satpal & Chitra who are breathless trying to run, finally arrive at a hideout at the riverside. It's here that Chitra finally delivers her baby boy, amidst high tension. Satpal & Chitra know that if they are caught then their child would be killed as well. So for the betterment of their child, Satpal puts the baby in a basket & makes it flow into the river. The baby flows to the other side of the river & is picked up by Kanta, who's seen the goons behind the hapless couple.

Sargam watches from her window, Satpal & chitra being dragged in jeeps & gets worried as she recognizes Chitra as being the woman she met in the Vatika. Satpal lies to Nirbhay that the child was born dead. Nirbhay decides to sentence them the next day in the chaupal. Kanta picks up the child & takes him away. The next day, the festivities in the haveli are still on as there's an elaborate lunch for the guests & important dignitaries who have come to bless Raghav & Sargam. Satpal & Chitra, locked in separate rooms, are restless especially because of their son. Nirbhay tells Maamchand about Satpal & Chitra, hearing which Raghav is unhappy but quiet. Gainda, the servant comes & informs Boondi about Maamchand's impending decision about Satpal & Chitra. Sargam overhears this conversation & is very scared.

Devlata sees Sargam in the kitchen & realises that she's scared about something. On probing Sargam shares her fears with Devlata. In the enclosure, Chitra is highly tensed about her child, but when Chitra sees her child in the arms of Kanta, whom she doesn't recognize, she is relieved. In the Chaupal, Maamchand announces death penalty for Satpal-Chitra, who have one last look at their child with Kanta, & smilingly face death. Rajbala overhears Sargam talking about her fears about Chitra & warns her to get adapted to her new surroundings as soon as possible. Kanta watches Satpal & Chitra being cremated & vows to protect their child.

Sargam is finally able to put the trauma of the honour killing incident & starts a new day with a soulful bhajan, which Mahaveeri appreciates. Sargam & Raghav start the 1st day of their life with happiness. Sargam is asked to make Kheer as it's her 1st day in the kitchen. While everyone arrives in the dining area, there's a huge commotion outside the haveli. Chitra's mom is hurling curses & abuses at Maamchand for ruthlessly killing her daughter. Sargam hears this & is shocked. Devlata who comes in the kitchen to get Sargam realises that Sargam has heard the conversation- she pacifies Sargam. While Nirbhay's goons try to drag Chitra's mom away, Premo (Maamchand's chachi) comes out & stops them from dragging the poor lady & she asks Chitra's mom to leave. After the commotion has settled down, in the dining area, Maamchand appreciates the kheer made by Sargam & wants to give her the neg. But sargam, who is still trembling in fear of what she's heard, drops the neg from her hands. Everyone is shocked.

Mahaveeri comes to Sargam's room & gives her the Gita to gather strength to stay peaceful. For the 1st time, Sargam meets Premo who also advices her to follows the rituals of the house if she wants to remain happy. Rajbala finally understands the reason of Sargam getting upset from Haldi. Sargam finally puts the issue behind her & begins a new day afresh. She realises that Devlata is not in the temple. And when Sargam goes to Devlata's room, Devlata tells her about her vrat, after which Devlata feels nauseated.

Sargam & Devlata are working in the kitchen. Devlata still looks unwell but tries to cover up. Raghav on some pretext calls Sargam to his room & here he gives Sargam jalebi to eat. Tejas catches them & runs around the house informing everyone about the jalebi episode. Everyone smiles & Nirbhay & Abhay warn him not to give so much leverage to her. Sargam takes food for Premo to her room, where Premo & Sargam have an emotional talk. Sargam goes to Devlata's room, where she overhears Abhay & Devlata having an argument regarding Devlata's health. Sargam is tensed.

Devlata realises that Sargam has not heard the argument & makes up an excuse & tells Sargam about her vrat. All ladies start preparing achar & Devlata also joins in to cover up her health issue. Raghav calls Sargam to the bedroom & asks her to come with him to "nauchandi ka mela". Sargam tells him that only if Mahaveeri gives permission can she accompany him. In the kitchen Devlata gets nauseated & Rajbala begins to doubt Devlata. Mahaveeri gives Sargam permission to go for the mela with Raghav. At night, when Devlata comes out of her bathroom after vomiting, she sees Mahaveeri & gets tensed. Mahaveeri realises the reason for Devlata's health & tells her that they'll go to the doctor the next morning. Both are tensed.

Sargam asks Devlata to accompany them to Nauchandi ka mela, but Devlata excuses herself on some pretext. Sargam, Raghav, boondi & Tejas leave for the mela. Raghav & Sargam share a cute moment when he stops the car to show Sargam their land. On the other hand, Mahaveeri & Devlata go to the doctor, where the doctor confirms that Devlata is pregnant. Mahaveeri forces the doctor to conduct the sex-determination test on Devlata. Here, Raghav, Sargam, Boondi & Tejas have a great time in the mela. At the clinic, the doctor informs Mahaveeri that Devlata is carrying a female child. Mahaveeri asks the doctor to abort the child. At this point the doctor takes Mahaveeri to the inner room to discuss something important. Devlata overhears the conversation & becomes tense. Mahaveeri comes out of the room & sees Devlata standing there. Both look very tense.

The doctor comes out & tells Mahaveeri to think about the abortion. Mahaveeri & Devlata go home, giving hopes to Devlata that this time maybe she won't have to abort. Raghav, Sargam, Tejas & boondi return home & around the same time Mahaveeri also comes home with Devlata. Mahaveeri goes to her room to talk to Maamchand & Devlata follows. There is a distinct tension on her face which Sargam notices, but Sargam is unable to find out anything. Mahaveeri tells Maamchand about Devlata's pregnancy & that she's carrying a girl child. Mahaveeri also informs Maamchand that if devlata undergoes an abortion this, she will never be able to conceive again. So she makes an attempt to appeal to Maamchand that if Devlata does not abort this time, there will still be chances of her bearing a male child in future. Devlata on the other hand spends the whole night standing outside Mahaveeri's door hoping for a positive response. Sargam pleads to Mahaveeri, but Mahaveeri takes Devlata & leaves for the doctor. Feeling helpless, Sargam goes to Raghav to stop the act as Sargam can't see an innocent life being taken away. Mamchand hears the conversation & warns Sargam to stay within her limits. When Sargam takes Premo's food for her, Premo tells Sargam to make badam ka halwa for Devlata as she'll need strength post abortion. Sargam is choked with emotions. When Devlata comes back along with Rajbala & Mahaveeri, Sargam rushes out to her, but Devlata is emotionless. Sargam is worried about her. At night she voices another fear of hers to Raghav that what will happen if she becomes pregnant with a girl child?... Will she also have to abort? Sargam is engulfed in her fears.

But Raghav tries to comfort her & tells her to concentrate on making Devlata happy. the next day Sargam sends Tejas with badam ka halwa to feed Devlata. Devlata breaks down in from of Tejas. Sargam sees the bonding between Devlata & Tejas & is overwhelmed. Later on Devlata tells Sargam that all women in the house are helpless when it comes to defying decisions taken by Mamchand. Sargam gets anxious on hearing this. Sargam tries to get Devlata back on normalcy & as time passes everything comes back to normal. After about a month, Sargam goes to her bedroom & suddenly feels nauseated. Sargam becomes scared when she realises that she could possibly be pregnant.
