Interesting!! The guy isn't trust-worthy!! That much is very clear. I thought he was a decent guy.
I don't think Shubam is out and out cunning, but he craves for acceptance by Girish and that's being exploited by Girish. So i feel in future also he may not turn out complete negative but will get played over by Girish and Apeksha because of this weakness.
