VOI contestant Abhaas to host Chhote Ustaad Indore's Abhaas Joshi, a contestant from Voice of India's first season, is going to host Chhote Ustaad (VOI for kids) that will start from December 7. He is replacing singer Shaan who hosted VOI. "Shaan bhaiyya had definitely increased the level of this show so when Saibaba production asked me to host it, I was surprised. It is not easy to beat Shaan in hosting but I am happy that they have shown so much faith in me. I immediately said yes. I never ever imagined that I will host the show which has changed my life but I am happy about it," says an elated Abhaas. On his experience so far, he says, "I have shot a few episodes for them and am learning many things through hosting. I am taking special training from Gulam Mustafa Saab in singing. The production house is also helping me a lot and taking good care of me. Now I realize how much hard work Shaan used to do." About his preparations, he tells us, "I am going frequently to the gym and doing my riyaz regularly as well. I have started personality development classes too." Admitting that he has a tough task on hand, a confident Abhaas says, "Like Shaan, I will also try to handle difficult situations well. When we used to get nervous he used to encourage us a lot. Even I am going to do that. I think our judges this time are very good so there won't be too much fight on the sets." What are your plans apart from this? "I want to make my name in the music industry and learn so many things for which I am working very hard. I have recorded a song for Aadeshji recently. Then Pritamji has also given me an offer and there are some new directors as well who want to work with me. I will be meeting them soon." Abhaas, who was the youngest in VOI, reached the final 3 of the contest. He was voted out of the show initially but re-entered through wild card. |
