my mom's parents
well meet them just in vacation and to spent lifetime with them in just those few days ........... they are sweet and caring too .................. infact at times we feel they are more good than our parents as they give us what we demand for.........

Well..I don't have a dadi/nani....but my one and the most lovable Grandpa is like all of them put together..I just joked around once and asked him for some thing very special..n he bought it for me even though he was not really in the state of it! So..I just want to say..grandparents deserve r time just like they give us theirs...n all they want is love from their own people..so please..love ur grandparents..always.

Though we all love our grandparents a lot....there is a huge issue of cruelty against old people in India. This cruelty is not the physical torchure, but the mental discomfort that old people go through in their lives when one of the parter dies and they are left alone..

Now a days, children are either settled abroad or are living in Metros and have no or little time for their parents. This leaves parents lonely either in their hometowns or they are trapped in a room in a big city where they are totally dependent on their children for everything from medicines to soap-bar.........
Unlike Western countries, in India we don't have Retirement homes and Old-age home is a taboo......So where would our old parents and grandparents go? This is one issue that is predominant and needs to be addessed by government and society......

the best we could do is visit an old age...and just do what your heart pleases...be it in the form of donation or spending some time with them...
