The mind behind of popular shows like Saath Nibhana Saathiya and Sasural Simar Ka, producer Rashmi Sharma is all set to present her another drama on Zee TV that has been titled as Zila Chapra.
Earlier, Beintehaa fame Harshad Arora was finalized to play the lead opposite Shiny Doshi (last seen on Saraswatichandra) but later he backed out from the show as he bagged Life Ok's upcoming show Siddhi. Ever since, the makers were hunting for their new lead for the show. Now, we have heard that the show has got its male lead.
Our source informs us, "Mohit Sehgal has been roped in to play the main lead on the show. He will essay the character of Somender who belongs to a very rich and dabang family."
When we contacted Mohit, he remained unavailable to comment.

While Sanaya Irani will be seen as one of the participants in the upcoming season of 'Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa', her beau actor Mohit Sehgal has bagged the role of the male lead in producer Rashmi Sharma's next for Zee TV. Last seen seen in 'Qubool Hai' as Haider, the actor signed on the dotted line recently. We hear that the show is titled 'Zila Chapra'. Apart from him, actor Paaras Madaan, currently seen in 'Nisha Aur Uske Cousins', is in talks for a pivotal role in the show. The shoot for the same will commence soon.

Says a source working on the project, "Mohit was in talks for a long time and the deal was finalised only recently. The makers are now on the verge of finalising Paaras. He will soon meet the team for a narration."
While Mohit remained unavailable, Paaras said, "Nothing is finalised yet."
