CONCEPT,CS & PROLOGUE

CHAPTER - 1

[ 1 YEAR LATER ]

Nupur was sitting on her bed in a bridal attire,looking at her mehendi.Today is Nupur's marriage.She was getting married to Manan,son of Nupur's father Shashi Bhushan's friend.In her mehendi,she was trying to find the image of the most important person of her life,who occupied the most special place in her heart and in her life,the love of her life,her Mayank.While searching,her eyes got stucked into the letter M'.On that letter,a drop of tear fall from her eyes.She said,"Jin haatho mein tumhaare naam ki mehendi lagni chahiye thi,aaj vo kisi aur ke naam ka shringaar kar rahi hai.Jisey tumhaari dulhan banna tha aaj vo kisi aur se shaadi kar rahi hai."She covered her face with her hand and wept.She looked towards their wardrobe where she kept all the gifts of Mayank which contained the most beautiful memories.She got up from her bed and moved towards the wardrobe.She opened the drawyer inside it and the first thing,which she saw was Mayank's photo.A smile curved on her lips on seeing it.She took out the photo and cared it very lovingly.She said,"Mere haatho mein chahe kisike bhi naam ki mehendi lagi ho,lekin mere dil mein hamesha sirf tumhaara hi naam hoga.Main aaj bhale hi hamesha ke liye kisi aur ki ho jaau lekin meri aatma hamesha tumhaari hi hogi."She hugged the photo and then said,"Main jaanti hu,maine tumhaare saath jo kuch bhi kiya vo galat tha,main ye bhi jaanti hu ke tum is vajah se mujhse bohot gussa ho aur mujhse bohot nafrat bhi karte ho lekin maine jo kuch bhi kiya hai sirf aur sirf tumhaare liye kiya hai Mayank.Main tumhe kho kar phir bhi zinda reh sakti hu,lekin...tumhaari taklifo ki vajah ban kar nehi jee sakti."She again looked at the photo and said,"Maine hamesha sirf tumhi se pyar kiya hai Mayank aur zindagi bhar sirf tumhi se pyar karungi.Aaj tumhaare saath kiye har nainsaafio ka praayashchitt karne ja rahi hu.Ho sake to mujhe maaf kar dena."She took a pause and sobbed,"I...I love you Mayank and I'll always love you."She kept the photo back into the drawyer and closed the wardrobe."Kyu kar rahi ho tum aisa Nupur?Kyu jaanbujhkar zeher pee rahi ho?",Diya asked.Diya is Nupur's second elder brother Benji's wife.She is a very sweet-natured,modern and a broad-minded woman.She is very close to Nupur.Nupur quickly wiped her tears and asked,"Bhabhi aap yaha?"Diya came towards her and said,"Dekho Nupur,ye baat tum bhi bohot achchi tarah se jaanti ho aur hum sab bhi ke tum sirf Mayank ke saath hi khush reh sakti ho.To phir ye sab kyu?Kyu de rahi ho apne aap ko itni bari sazaa?"Nupur turned against her and firmly said,"Dekhiye bhabhi,Mayank ke saath sagaai,maine apni marzi se tori thi aur Manan ke saath shaadi bhi main apni marzi se kar rahi hu.Mayank mera ateet hai aur Manan mera aanewaala kal,isliye please puraane zakhmo ko kuredna chor dijiye."Diya was about to say something when Maansi stopped her.Maansi is Nupur's elder brother Uday's wife.She is the most obedient DIL of the family whereas Diya is a bit expressive in nature.Maansi is just like Sheetal,Nupur's mother,who always wants make her whole family happy.Maansi asked Diya,"Ye sab kya hai Diya?Tu ye sab kya bol rahi hai usey?"Diya replied,"Aapko kya lagta hai didi,ye sab jo ho raha hai,vo sab sahi hai?Ye sab kuch jaankar apni khushio ko apne haatho se aag laga rahi hai.Ye to saraasar khudkhushi hai.Nupur ka pyar,uski khushi aur uski puri dunia sirf aur sirf Mayank hai.Please aap samjhaaiye na usey."Maansi said,"Dekh Diya hum sab jaante hai aur sab samajhte bhi hai,lekin hamaare chahne ya na chahne se kuch nehi hota.Mayank ke saath Nupur ka rishta nehi hona tha so toot gaya chahe iske liye zimmedaar koi bhi ho.Vaise bhi is vajah se Nupur bohot dukh jhel chuki hai.Ek galti ki sazaa koi zindagi bhar to nehi bhugat sakta.Ab Manan ke roop mein,uski zindagi mein khushia waapas dastak de rahi hai,to tu uski khushio ke beech mein rora kyu ban rahi hai?Hum mein se kisine Nupur par koi dabaav nehi daala.Vo khud apni khushi se is rishte ko apna rahi hai aur Manan bhi hamaari Nupur ko bohot pyar karta hai aur vo usey bohot khush bhi rahega,isse zyaada ek larki ko aur kya chahiye ke uska pati usko pyar kare.Mujhe pura yakeen hai ke Manan ka pyar Nupur ke dil se Mayank ki har yaad ko hamesha ke liye meeta dega."Nupur looked at Maansi with a jerk as if she was saying that it is impossible.Maansi continued,"Dekh Diya jo ho raha hai usme bhagwaan ki marzi hai aur isime sabki khushi bhi hai aur sabki bhalaai bhi,isiliye jo ho raha hai usey hone de.Faltu mein ye gare murde mat ukhaar."Diya said,"Kisme kiski marzi hai didi,mujhe nehi pata,par ha ek baat main achchi tarah se jaanti hu ke is shaadi mein na to Nupur ki marzi hai,na meri aur na to aapke bhagwaan ki aur agar kahi bhagwaan hai to vo Mayank aur Nupur ko kabhi alag nehi hone denge,vo hi unhe milaayenge."Nupur looked at Diya with teary eyes and Maansi wanted to reply her back but at that moment,she heard the music of the band party which indicated that the groom had arrived.Maansi said to Diya,"Lagta hai dulhewaale aa gaye hai.Abhi chal mere saath,unka swaagat karna hai."Diya unwantedly left with Maansi from there.

The groom party were just a few steps away from the door of BH.Sheetal,Maansi and Diya stood at the door-step with the aarti-thaali in Sheetal's hand.When the groom stepped at the door,Sheetal welcomed him.The groom had sehra on his face.Manan and his family alongwith friends entered inside.Shashi and Manan's father Shaurya Chaudhry hugged each other.Shashi said,"Shaurya,yaar tuney sab kuch jaankar meri beti ko apni bahu banaane ka faisla kiya hai.Main tera ye ehsaan kabhi nehi bhulunga."Shaurya held Shashi's hand and said,"To teri beti mere liye koi gair hai kya?Vo bhi to meri beti hi hai.Bas aaj main apni beti ko hamesha ke liye apne saath lekar jaaunga."Shashi nodded his head and said,"Ha bhai ab to mujhse zyaada tera haq hai uspar."By that time,the priest called for the groom to perform the necessary rituals.After completing them,the priest called for the bride.

Nupur,in her room was looking outside the window in the sky and was preparing herself for her funeral named marriage.She closed her eyes and prayed to God,"Bhagwaanji mera kya hoga,mujhe nehi pata,par mere Mayank ko hamesha khush rakhna.Uske zindagi mein kisi aise shaks ko bhejna,jo usey mujhse bhi zyaada pyar kare."Tears fall from her eyes.At that moment,Diya and Maansi came to take Nupur.Maansi smiled and said,"Chal Nupur,panditji bula rahe hai."Nupur's heart squeezed with pain as well as fear.The moment,which she had wished never to come,the moment which would completely change her life,the moment which would literally mark the end of her life,had finally arrived.Diya and Maansi took her downstairs where all were waiting for her.When Nupur came downstairs,everyone were mesmerized by her beauty.She was looking tremendously beautiful.Sheetal came towards her and took all the evil eyes from her.She put a black spot on her neck and said,"Bilkul chaand ka tukra lag rahi hai meri bachchi.Tujhe kisiki nazar na lage."She noticed the dried lines of tears in Nupur's eyes.She wiped it and said,"Ye kya Nupur tu ro rahi hai?Apni nayi zindagi ki shuruwaat,musuraakar karte hai beta.Ja."Sheetal and Maansi then took Nupur to the mandap.

Diya was about to leave the wedding hall when Benji grabbed her hand from behind.He asked,"Kaha ja rahi ho Diya?"She replied,"Mujhe is shaadi mein nehi rehna hai."He slowly pulled her towards himself and asked,"Aakhir baat kya hai,bataao to sahi?"Diya replied,"Ye shaadi nehi hai,sochi samjhi aatmahatya hai.Mujhe is dhong ka,is gunaah ka hissa nehi banna hai."He turned her towards himself and said,"Main tumhaare gusse ko samajh sakta hu Diya,par jo bhi ho Nupur hamaari ek lauti behen hai.Agar is tarah se tum uski shaadi chorkar chali jaaogi to socho,log kya kahenge,aur is baat ke liye shaayad Nupur ko bhi apne sasural mein baate sunni par sakti hai.Kya tum yehi chahti ho?Main jaanta hu jo ho raha hai vo thik nehi hai par filhaal hume na chahte huye bhi iska hissa banna parega,Nupur ke khaatir,apne parivaar ki izzat ki khaatir.Please Diya,maan jaao."Diya kept quite for sometime and unwillingly agreed.In the mandap,the priest asked the bride and the groom to put the garlands around each others neck.Manan and Nupur exchanged the garlands and both were made to sit and Maansi did the gathbandhan.Shashi,after that did the kanyadaan.Nupur was performing each and every rituals like a machine,with an expressionless face.Her heart bounced loudly when the priest asked Manan to put the sindoor and the mangalsutra on her.When Manan filled her parts with the sindoor and tied the mangalsutra around her neck,Nupur,at that time closed her eyes,realizing that all her relations had now been broken off with Mayank.After that,they stood up for the pheras.While taking the pheras,with each round and vow,Nupur was sacrificing each of her happiness in the holy fire.After the pheras,the priest pronounced them as husband and wife.

Manan and Nupur took the blessings of the elders.Everyone blessed them whole-heartedly and prayed for their happy and successful married life.Nupur and Manan's cousins and friends teased them a lot.Sheetal came towards the newly wedded couple and said,"Bhagwaan tum dono ki Jodi ko hamesha salamat rakkhe.Ye lo mere aur Nupur ke papa ke taraf se shagun."She gave Manan a diamond brooch.Sheetal smiled and turned to leave from there.When she was a few steps away from him,Manan suddenly called out,"Saasuji,ab to shaadi bhi ho gayi.Kya aap abhi bhi,apne...ek laute damaad ki muh-dikhaayi nehi karengi?"Sheetal,on hearing this stopped with a jerk.Her facial expressions slowly turned from happiness to confusion when Manan called her,but on hearing the way he addressed her,her expression changed from confusion to shock and from shock to scare.She slowly turned towards Manan.Everyone,in the wedding hall started murmuring.Nupur,all the time was standing by lowering her head,but as soon as she heard Manan spoke up,she raised her head and looked at him with lots of curiosity.The reason of her curiosity was not only the way he spoke up but also the voice.The voice was so much familiar to her that she could even recognize it among millions of others.It was the sweetest voice in the whole world.Realizing this,the earth under her feet started shaking.All the eyes of the family members were glued on Manan and there was only one question in them,about the identity of the groom.Slowly Manan opened his pagri in front of everyone.Revealation of the actual identity of the groom turned everyone dumbstruck.On seeing the face of the groom,Sheetal couldn't ake it more and dashed on the ground.Shashi and Uday came running to her and helped her to stand up.They made her stand up and made her seat and Maansi brought her a glass of water.Among everyone,Nupur's condition was the worst of all.The revealation of the identity totally shattered her in every way.The identity of the groom was so unexpected that such a strong girl like Nupur could not bear the shock.She was about to fall when Diya and Benji grabbed her from behind.She was looking at the groom with blank vision.Each string of her mind got twisted with each other making her totally confused whether she should be extremely happy or sad.Nupur's family were totally devastated.The groom,to which Nupur married,was none other but the most desired person of Nupur's life and the most unwanted person presently at the wedding hall,MAYANK SHARMA.He looked at Nupur and gave a cruel smile and asked,"Kaisi ho jaan???Mere sasuraalwaalo ne tumhaara dhyaan to rakkha hoga na thik se?"Tears were falling from Nupur's eyes.He wiped it and asked,"Ye kya tum ro rahi ho?"He suddenly changed his expressions and grinned like a devil and said,"Uske liye to puri zindagi pari hai.I promise you tumhe rulaane mein main kabhi koi kasar nehi chorunga."He again smiled sweetly and said,"Abhi to smile karo.Aise shaadi ke time pe koi rota hai kya?Dekho aaj hamaari shaadi ho gayi hai.Tumhe to kush hona chahiye,Miss Nupur..."He bit his own lips and sarcastically smiled and said,"Oops!!!!!Iam so sorry jaan,Miss Nupur Bhushan nehi,Mrs...Nupur Mayank Sharma.Aaj se balki abhi se tum meri personal and private property hui."Nupur dashed on the ground and Mayank kneeled in front of her.He complained,"Vaise tumhe nehi pata shaadi ke baad pati ke per choone parte hai.Khair thik hai tumhaare liye main itna to consider kar hi sakta hu."He again smiled sweetly and said,"After all I love you na jaan.Chalo main tumhe khud hi aashirwaad de deta hu."He put his hand on her head and said,"Durbhagyaavati Bhava!Sada khoon ke aasu roti hui raho aur tumhaari zindagi narak se bhi battar bane."Benji and Diya could not believe what they were seeing and what they were hearing.It appeared that a new Mayank was there in front of them.Nupur could not tolerate all the pressure on her nerves and slowly fainted on Diya and Benji's arms.
