A small girl of 3.5 years was running with a paper in her hand and banged inside her parents' room.On hearing the sound,both her mother was shocked and she yelled,"Pari!!Ye kya hai?"The girl climbed up on the bed and then said to her mother,"Mamma ye dekho maine dawing banaya hai.Aap to daldi daldi tale daate ho na opich ichiliye main daldi daldi uth gayi."The mother of the girl opened her laptop and said,"Abhi jaao yaha se Pari mujhe bohot kaam karna hai.Tumhaari ye saari cheezo ke liye mere paas waqt nehi hai."Pari made a face and said,"Mamma dekho na maine mamma,papa aul Payi kid dawing banayi hai."The mother scolded her again and said,"Pari maine tumse kya kaha?Jaao abhi yaha se."She scolded Pari so loudly that Pari got scared.She slowly climbed down of her bed and was about to go,her father came out of the washroom and on seeing him,she ran towards him and said,"Papa papa maine dawing banayi hai,mamma papa aul Payi ki."She was about to show the drawing to her father but he said,"Beta abhi papa ko bohot kaam hai so please abhi jaao ha baad mein."The girl sadly looked at both her parents and then walked out of the room.While crying,she went to her grandparents' room where her grandmother was having tea and her grandfather was watering on the tub of flower.On seeing Pari,entering,her grandmother asked,"Arey meri Pari rani itni subhe subhe uth gayi?Kya baat hai?"On looking at her,Pari burst into tears.The woman came and took her into her arms and made her sit on her lap on the bed and her grandfather too came to her.The woman comforted her and asked,"Kya hua kya hua meri rani pari ko?Kyu ro rahi hai meri gudiya?"After a long time,Pari finally stopped crying and then said,"Mamma papa aththe nei hai,mamma papa Payi che pyal nehi katte hai.Mamma hamecha datti hai."The woman looked at her husband and then the man asked,"Kyu ab kya kiya mamma ne?"Pari told them whatever happened.On hearing that the woman said,"Ale ale rote nehi hai baba,drawing banayi hai tumne chalo dadi ko dikhaao."She took the paper and then said,"Arey kitni pyari drawing hai,bilkul Pari jitni pyari."The man said,"Ha mamma papa ne nehi dekha to na sahi koi baat nehi hai,dadu aur daadi ne dekha hai na to bas.Mamma papa ko bhul jaao,aaj hum logo ko kya kya karna hai yaad hai na?"Pari asked her grandfather,"Dadu mamma mudhe datti kyu hai?Main to googgal hu,mamma ki hal baat maanti hu,dudu bhi peeti hu.Phil bi mamma mudhe aaap kyu katti hai?"Pari's grandparents felt very bad for her and so her grandmother said,"Koi baat nehi Pari beta,mamma aul papa pyar nehi karte par dadu aur daadi to itna saara pyar karti hai na?To bas bhul jaao chalo,tumko abhi bhukh lag rahi hogi na main tumhaara naashta kara deti hu.Chalo chalo."Both the grandparents and Pari went to have breakfast.

The baby girl was Pari Mayank Sharma and her parents were Mayank Sharma and Nupur Mayank Sharma.Both were working parents.Nupur and Mayank had a love marriage.Everything was fine between them since one year,but their difference started when Nupur conceived and she was compelled to leave her job on Mayank's insistence and that too when she was about to get promotion in her office.She wanted to abort the child before leaving the job because of the promotion,but Mayank didn't allow her to do this.This thing badly affected her mind as she loved her job and due to that only,she started outbursting her anger on her child.After the delivery when Pari was born,she immediately after a few months joined another company and gave the child to a nanny to be taken care of.Mayank was disturbed at first with her attitude,but later on he too became busy with his own job.Mayank's parents didn't want the child to be taken care of by a nanny and so they started living with them to take care of the child.Mayank,though loved his daughter but he didn't have a single second for her and Nupur,she had definitely feelings for her,but somewhere it was buried deep inside her heart which could not come out due to her ego and her ego and anger towards Mayank overpowered her feelings.Mayank and Nupur's relation deteriorated and they were husband and wife just only in the name and rarely talked with each other properly and if ever they talked,it just started with a taunt and ended on a huge fight.Pari's grand parents Shekhar and Shilpa Sharma always kept Pari away from their gradually getting ugly relationship.

One day,when Shekhar was out of station,at night,in the dinner time,all were sitting together to have dinner.Both Mayank and Nupur were busy with their laptops.Pari said to her grandmother,"Daadi toyi chunaao,aththi baali toyi."Shilpa replied,"Mmm tum good girl bankar khaana kha lo,phir main tumhe sote waqt ek achchi si kahaani sunaaungi."Shilpa was going to feed Pari,when she squeezed her nose and said,"Daadi ye ganni chabbi (sabzi) hai,Payi nei khaayegi."Shilpa said,"Par beta ye saara khaana to kitna achcha hai,Pari ye saara khaana kha kar strong ho jaayegi aur uski aakho ke liye bhi to ye khaana kitna achcha hai."Pari didn't want to eat them and so she started shouting.On that Nupur became irritated and yelled at Pari,"Pari!!Muh bandh rakkho apna.Jo daadi degi vo khaana parega.Ye khaane ko lekar nakhre mujhe bilkul bhi pasand nehi hai.Chupchap khaana khaao."Pari was scared when her mother shouted on her and she said,"Mamma mudhe ye aththa nei lagta hai."Mayank said to her,"Par beta ye tumhaari sehat ke liye achcha hai na.Chalo good girl bankar kha lo,dekho papa ko bohot kaam karna hai,agar aise tum chillaogi,shor karogi to main kaam kaise karunga?"Shilpa tried to feed her but again Pari didn't take that and by mistake she removed Shilpa's hand so hard that the plate fall from her hand.On seeing that,Nupur's anger touched the extreme limit and she became mad with anger.She raised up from her seat and then straight away slapped Pari.That slap was a bit hard for her to digest and she couldn't believe that her mother slapped her.She looked in a strange way towards Shilpa and then at Nupur and started trembling with fear and cried out loudly.Nupur scolded her,"Kitni baar kaha hai ke mere saamne ye saare nakhre mat dikhaya karna.Sara din office se thak haar kar waapas aap aur phir maharani ke ye saare nakhre jhelo.Agar khaana hai to yehi khaao aur agar nehi khaana hai to jaakar so jaao,yaha mera dimaag mat khaana aur agar dubaara aisi harkat kin a to bohot maar paregi Pari,sabke laad pyar se bilkul hi bigar gayi hai tu."Shilpa pushed away Nupur from there and yelled at her,"Nupur ye kya hai??Itni choti bachchi par aise koi haath uthaata hai kya?Tera bas chale to tu maar hi degi apni beti ko.Tu ma hai ya kasai?"Nupur,too,yelled,"Nehi hai ye meri beti!!Ye sirf Mayank ki beti hai.Main to bachcha chahti hi nehi thi,par aapke bete ke vajah se mujhe isey janam dena para aur apni job chorni pari aur vo bhi tab jab main career ke top par thi.Aapke bete aur aapki is poti ne milkar meri zindagi barbaad kar di."Mayank,too was disgusted with Nupur's words and so he too said,"Meri beti???Janam isko tumne diya hai Nupur,tumhaari kuch responsibilities banti hai uske taraf aur maine tumhe uswaqt job chorne ko isliye kaha tha kyuki kaam ka pressure bachche ke liye thik nehi tha aur phir Pari ke janam ke baad tumne job waapas se le liya hai na,to ab kis baat ki taklif hai tumhe?"Nupur grinned angrily,"Responsibility ke baare mein tum mujhe naahi samjhaao to thik hai Mayank,tumne aajtak apni kaunsi zimmedaari nibhaayi hai Pari ke taraf?Sara din to laptop ke saath bethe rehte ho,main to tumhe kabhi kuch nehi kehti hu."Shilpa,on seeing their fight was disgusted and she yelled,"Bandh karo apna muh dono ke dono!!Sharam nehi aati hai?Ek chote se bachche ke saamne is tarah se lar rahe ho."She took Pari inside in her room.

Pari was shivering with fear seeing that face of her mother.Shilpa was unable to make her stop crying.She comforted her and it took a lot of time for Shilpa to make her sleep.When she fall asleep,Shilpa was grinning in anger seeing the audacity of Nupur to slap her like that and was stunned remembering that Nupur never wanted the child.Shilpa decided that it was high time to take action.She said to herself,"Isi tarah se agar chalta raha to baat aur bhi bigar sakti hai.Itne dino tak,itne saalo tak maine kuch nehi kaha ye soch kar ke chalo zyaada time nehi de paate to kya hua par kamsekam pyar to karte hai,par nehi aaj to baat kuch aur hi hai.Maine kabhi bhi nehi socha tha ke mujhe ye din bhi dekhna parega.Aakhir koi ma apne hi bachche se aise nafrat kaise kar sakti hai?Khair!!Main kal hi dono se baat karti hu."Saying she slept beside Pari hugging her.Next day,in the morning,Nupur and Mayank both went to their office early since they had important meeting to attend.Shilpa didn't try to wake Pari up until they were gone due to the last night's incident.After they left,Shilpa went to her room and tried to wake Pari up,but while doing that she found that Pari was not just sleeping but fainted due to high fever.Shilpa was scared as there was no one in the house at that time and she even tried to call Mayank and Nupur but their pjhones were switched off.She was so worried that she immediately took Pari in her arms and then went to the hospital and out of extreme worry,she called Nupur's home and asked her parents' to reach the hospital as soon as possible.Shashi and Gayatri,Nupur's parents reached the hospital within no time.On seeing them,Shilpa was a bit relieved and said,"Achcha hua aap log jaldi aa gaye,varna Mayank ke papa bhi nehi the ghar mein aur upar se Nupur aur Mayank dono ne hi apna phone bandh karke rakkha hua hai."Gayatri looked through the door of the room where Pari was kept.Shashi asked,"Par Pari ko achaanak se itna bukhaar aaya kaise?"Shilpa replied,"Nupur aur Mayank ke vajah se.Ye dono ma baap nehi ma baap ke naam par kalank hai.Mayank to phir bhi thik hai par kal maine jo Nupur ka roop dekha hai na usse to main..."Gayatri asked,"Kya kiya hai meri beti ne?"Shilpa narrated the whole incident of the last night that happened on the dining table and on hearing this,Gayatri and Shashi both were shocked thinking how their daughter had turned out to be.She dashed on the floor weeping,"Mujhe yakeen nehi aa raha hai ke meri beti aisi ban gayi hai.Logo ko to dusro ki bachchi par pyar aa jaata hai aur 9 mahine apne kokh mein rakh kar jis bachche ko janam diya,uske dil mein apni usi aulaad ke liye koi pyar nehi hai.Kaisi ma hai ye?Aisi phool si naazuk bachchi ke saath aisa karte huye iske haath zarabhi nehi kaape?"Shashi was just comforting her and said,"Fikar mat karo Gayatri sab thik ho jaayega.Hum baat karenge na Nupur se."The doctor after checking Pari came outside the cabin and informed them that due to immense shock and fear for something,Pari had suddenly fallen ill and he also warned them to keep her away from that thing from which she was scared.After the doctor left,Shilpa said,"Ab to mujhe Pari ke saath waha rehne mein bhi dar lagta hai ke pata nehi phir Nupur kya kar bethegi."Gayatri said to Shilpa,"Nehi nehi behenji main baat karungi usse.Kaise nehi meri baat samajhti hai main bhi dekhti hu.Abhi pehle unhe yaha bula lete hai phir dekhte hai ke kya karna hai."Gayatri asked Shashi to call Nupur and Mayank both in the hospital immediately.

Shashi called Nupur and Mayank and they immediately reached the hospital.Mayank asked Shashi,"Papa kaha hai Pari?Achaanak usey bukhaar kaise ho gaya?"Shashi gave an angry look to Nupur and then said,"Nupur ne kal thappar maara tha na Pari ko isiliye usko bukhaar aa gaya hai aur vo behosh ho gayi thi.Tum dono ko call karne ki bohot koshish kiya tha Shilpaji ne par tum dono ka phone bandh aa raha tha."Mayank glared at Nupur and then said,"Abhi tum khush ho na ke tumne jo meri beti ko thappar maara tha usse vo bimaar par gayi.Tumhe to chain tab milega jab vo mar jaayegi."Nupur replied,"Bakwaas mat karo Mayank,main pari ki dushman nehi hu..."They again started fighting when Gayatri stopped them and said,"Kuch to is baat ka lihaaz karo dono ke kaha khare ho.Ye hospital hai,ghar nehi hai jo yahi shuru ho gaye."At that time,the nurse informed that Pari had gained consciousness and now they could meet them.Shilpa immediately went to Pari and then sat beside her.Pari slowly opened her eyes and said,"Daadi..."Shilpa kissed on her head and then said,"Ha beta,daadi tumhaare paas hi hai."Mayank,too came inside and then hugged his daughter and said,"Pari beta,kaisi hai mera bachcha?Pata hai papa ko jab pata chala ke unki gudiya ki tabiyat kharaab hai,vo yu daud kar aa gaye."Pari slowly said to Mayank,"Pa...pa...ma..mma...nei aayegi na...Mamma che...dal lagta hai."Mayank said,"Nehi beta koi nehi aayega.Mamma ko to main tumhaare paas kabhi aane hi nehi dunga.Ab sirf papa rahenge aur papa ki pari.Thik hai?Abhi chalo,tum rest karo phir papa tumhe ghar lekar jaayenge."They all consulted the doctor and he replied that Pari could be taken home in the evening only.In the evening when Pari was discharged,Shashi called his son and DIL and asked them to take Pari with them to their home.Pari was not ready to go leaving Shilpa but Shilpa persuaded her by saying that she had some works to do and then she will directly come to take her.With a lots of difficulty Pari was sent to Nupur's home,but Mayank was not happy with that.He said,"Ma aap Pari ko waha kyu bhej rahi hai.Main tha na uske saath?Main office se chutti le leta jab takvo thik nehi ho jaati,aapne khaamakha mein usey waha bhej diya..."Shilpa stopped him in the middle and then said,"Mujhe tum dono se bohot zaruri baat karni hai isiliye maine Pari ko unke saath bhej diya taaki vo in sab mein na rahe kyuki hamaare ghar ka jo mahaul hai na vo Pari ke liye bilkul bhi thik nehi hai."Gayatri said,"Abhi filhaal ghar chalte hai,baaki baate wahi ho jaayengi."Saying everyone went home.

When they all reached home,Shilpa straight way said,"Aakhir problem kya hai tum dono ke beech mein?Nupur ke pregnancy ke time se main dekh rahi hu ke vo bohot upset rehti thi aur delivery ke baad jab se usne job liya hai tab se usne do ghari pyar se baat bhi nehi ki hai Pari ke saath.Hamesha tum dono khaas kar Nupur Pari ko bohot ignore karti hai jab usko apni ma ki sabse zyaada zarurat hai.Pehle maine socha ke bachche ke janam ke baad sab thik ho jaayega par nehi yaha to baat aur bhi bigar chuki hai aur kal to hadh hi ho gayi tune uspar hath utha diya Nupur.What's the problem between you two?"Nupur and Mayank both remained quiet when Gayatri asked Nupur about the problem between them and then Nupur said,"Main Pari se nafrat nehi karti hu ma,par main kya karu jab bhi main usey dekhti hu to mujhe vo din yaad aata hai jab Mayank ne mujhe job chorne ko kaha.Mujhe uswaqt office mein promotion milne waala tha par meri tarakki mein rukawat meri pregnancy thi.I thought of abortion but Mayank ne mujhe karne nehi diya."Mayank said,"Ha to main kyu karne du usko abortion,ye bachcha sirf uska to nehi mera bhi tha aur aajkal abortion karwaana illegal ho gaya hai aur phir tumne to Pari ke janam ke baad job le liya tha na to phir tumhe abhi kis baat ki shikaayat hai aur phir job chorne ko to tumhe maine kaha tha phir tum mera gussa Pari par kyu nikaalti ho?"Nupur grinned,"Mujhe pata nehi gussa aa jaata hai usey dekh kar.Vo bas tumhaari beti hai,meri nehi."Gayatri slapped Nupur hard on her face and then said,"Agar mujhe ye pata hota ke mujhe tere muh se aisi baate sunni parengi to main tujhe paida hone se pehle hi maar deti.Arey vo teri beti hai,tune usey janam diya hai.Logo ko to dusro ke bachcho se pyar ho jaata hai aur ye to teri apni beti hai,kya isey dekh kar kabhi bhi tere dil mein mamta nehi jaagti hai?Vo jab totli zabaan se tujhe mamma bulaati hai,jab tere paas aati hai to tujhe uspar pyar nehi aata hai kya Nupur?"Nupur started crying and Mayank said,"Usey ye sab kehkar koi faayada nehi hai.Mujhe to yakeen nehi aata hai ke maine isi larki se kabhi pyar kiya tha."Shilpa scolded him,"Tu bhi khud koi dudh ka dhula nehi hai Mayank,galti tune bhi bohot saari ki hai.Tu jab jaanta tha ke Nupur ko apni job karni hai aur usko promotion milne waala tha to tum dono ko pehle se sab kuch plan kar lena chahiye tha na aur tu khud bhi to Pari ko kitna ignore karta hai is baat ka koi andaaza bhi hai.Us maasoom si bachchi ko to is baat ka koi ehsaas hi nehi hai ke ma baap kya hote hai aur ma baap ka pyar kya hota hai.Tu Nupur par kis baat ka gussa nikaal raha hai?Tu khud kya jaanta hai apni beti ke baare mein?Tujhe pata hai usey kya pasand hai aur kya nehi pasand hai?Tujhe kuch nehi pata hai."Mayank lowered his head and Shashi said to both Mayank and Nupur,"Tum dono ne jo kiya hai na ek dusre ke saath aur pari ke saath dono ko maaf nehi kiya ja sakta.Isiliye Pari ab se hamaare paas rahegi,jabtak ki tum dono ko apni galti ka ehsaas nehi ho jaata tabtak tum dono uska chehra tak nehi dekh sakte ho."Shilpa said,"Agar mere bas mein hota to main zindagi bhar in dono ko uska chehra nehi dekhne deti."Gayatri comforted Shilpa and then said to her,"Chaliye Shilpaji hamaare saath,vaise bhi yaha rehkar koi faayda nehi hai.Vaha Gunjan ki shaadi hone waali hai,uski tayyari mein hi sab lage hai.Logo ke beech mein rahengi to aapka aur Pari dono ka mood thik ho jaayega.Chaliye hamaare saath."Saying Gayatri and Shashi both took Shilpa alongwith them to their own home.

For 2 days,Mayank and Nupur didn't talk with each other and were dying to talk and to speak out their pain and also both wanted to apologize to each other.During this 2 days,they both only tried to find an opportunity to talk with each other but everytime,their anger and their ego came in between.When Pari was there in the home,both never cared for her but now when she was not there,they were missing her specially Mayank and for Nupur she was still not sure whether she actually loved her like that but she was missing one member of the family.One night,Mayank could not hold his anger any longer and then said to Nupur,"Nupur main tumse maafi maangna chahta hu please mujhe maaf kar do."Nupur looked at him with teary eyes and then said,"Maafi to main bhi tumse maangna chahti hu."He said,"Nehi galti meri hi hai.Tumne to mujhse kaha hi tha ke tumhe bachcha nehi chahiye tha,par mujhe hi dhyaan rakhna chahiye tha.Aakhir meri vajah se hi tumne itna bara promotion tumhe chorna para hai.Iam so sorry."She replied,"Galti meri bhi thi.After all,tum to bachchi ke papa the tum kaise apne bachche ko maar sakte the.Tum apni jagah sahi the kyuki tum chahte the ke main uswaqt araam karu,par mere dimaag par uswaqt aisa bhoot chara tha ke...main tumhaare point of view ko samajh hi nehi paayi.Mujhe laga ke tum mujhse jalte ho,meri kamyaab se jalte ho,par tumne mujhe job karne se kabhi nehi roka tha ulta hamesha umne hi mujhe encourage kiya."Mayank cared her face and then said to her,"Abhi chor bhi do ye sab baate,maine tumhe maaf kiya,tum bhi mujhe maaf karo aur chalo aaj tak humne jitni bhi galtiya ki hai,sab sudhaarte hai."Nupur was feeling so light after that,that she burst out into tears and then hugged him and cried like a baby.

Next day,both Nupur and Mayank went to Nupur's home as her sister Gunjan's wedding was approaching near.On seeing her,no one was happy in the house.Pari was sitting in the hall and was playing with her cousins but as soon as her eyes fall on Nupur,she was squeezed with fear and started calling Shilpa.She was looking at Nupur and kept on chanting fearfully,"Daadi daadi daldi aao,daadi mamma maayegi...mamma maayegi."Shilpa came running towards her and then picked her up in her arms and tried to comfort her.She said,"Mamma kuch nehi karegi beta,tum chalo mere saath."But still Pari kept on chanting,"Na na mamma maayegi...mamma maayegi."Shilpa took her inside.Everyone in the house,welcomed and respected Mayank but no one looked at Nupur as everyone were angry of her behaviour with Pari.As days were passing,the whole family only treated Nupur as a stranger,no one talks with her until and unless it was extremely necessary and whenever possible they used to taunt her.Whenever she sat to have food,everyone leaves the sit except Mayank.In that pathetic situation,only Mayank was her support system and he always comforted Nupur.One day,while selecting jewelleries and dresses for everyone,no one called Nupur to buy something,but it was only Mayank who brought something for her for the marriage.One day,unable to tolerate all this humiliation,after the dinner,Nupur went to her mother's room and directly asked her,"Ma aap sab log mere saath aise bartaav kyu kar rahe hai jaise ki main koi achchut hu?"Gayatri tried to leave without answering but Nupur stopped her and then said,"Main tumhe aise hi yaha se nehi jaane dungi aaj ma.Tumhe aaj mujhe jawab dena hi parega.Jab se yaha aayi hu main dekh rahi hu key aha sab log mere saath ajnabio ke tarah behave karte hai,ajnabio ke saath bhi isse achcha bartaav hi hota hai."Gayatri smiled at her and then said,"Humne tere saath kuch dino tak thik se baat nehi ki to tujhe itna bura lagta hai,apni beti ke baare mein soch jisko tune pichle 3.5 saalo mein kitna ignore kiya hai.Kamsekam maine tujhe bachpan mein kabhi akela nehi chora aur us maasoom ko to ye pata bhi nehi hai ke ma hoti kya hai.Vaise bhi pata chalega bhi kaise kyuki jo bachcha apni ma ko dekh kar darta hai,uske kismat mein kya likkha hai vo to bhagwaan hi jaane."Nupur lowered her head and then Gayatri continued,"Tu usdin abortion ki baat kar rahi thi na?Pari ki asli gunehgaar to main hu...kyuki agar maine tere waqt apna abortion kara diya hota o aaj us bachchi ko itne dukh na jhelne parte."Saying she didn't wait for Nupur's reaction and then left from there leaving Nupur hell shocked.

It was a great blow for Nupur when her mother said of aborting her before her birth.With slow steps and shocked state she returned to her room and sat on her bed.Gayatri's words were revolving inside her head and side by side she was comparing her own words which she said about Pari.A drop of tear fall down from her eyes.She covered her face on her knees and broke into tears.On the other side,Pari though was very scared of Nupur,but she always used to see that no one talked with her and she always remained sad.As it was more than a week,Pari came there and was about a week since she was watching her mother like that,somewhere she felt very pity.While Nupur was crying in her room,Pari peeped inside the room and looked at her mother.With slow and cautious steps,she entered inside and from quite a distance,she called,"Mamma!!"Nupur raised her face and looked at her but she didn't respond.Pari came two steps near to Nupur and then asked,"Mamma aap lo layi ho?"Nupur wiped her tears and then said,"Tum yaha kyu aayi ho.Sabki tarah tum bhi chali jaao."Seeing that her mother was not scolding her,Pari gained some strength and she climbed on to the bed and sat in front of her and asked,"Mamma naani ne aapko aaapp kiya?Aapko maala?"Nupur didn't reply.Pari again asked,"Aapko kichine jol che aaappp kiya?"She replied,"Nehi kisine nehi daata."Pari asked,"To aap lo kyu layi ho?"Nupur remained silent and on seeing this,she came down of the bed and ran away and after sometime brought Gayatri with her in Nupur's room and then asked Gayatri,"Aapne mei mamma ko aaappp kiya nani?"Gayatri replied,"Nehi to maine teri ma ko kuch nehi kaha."She asked,"To mei mamma lo kyu layi hai?"Gayatri looked at her and then said,"Mujhe nehi pata."At that time,Shilpa arrived there searching for Gayatri and on seeing her,Pari asked,"Daadi mei mamma lo layi hai aapne unko daata?"Shilpa replied,"Ha daata yaad nehi usdin kaise tujhe thappad maara tha,isiliye daata."Pari said,"Pal daadi aapne kaha na mei mamma aththi mamma hai aul mudhe itta chaala pyal katti hai.To mei mamma ko kyu daata.Mei mamma lo layi hai.Mei mamma ko choyi bolo nei to main aappp kaungi."Shilpa looked at Nupur and then said,"Ye dekh jisko tu pasand nehi karti aaj vohi tere liye khari hai."Pari again scolded them and so Gayatri and Shilpa had to apologize.

After they left,Pari again climbed on the bed and then sat on Nupur's lap and wiped her tears and then said,"Mamma aap lo mat maine chabko aappp kal diya hai."Nupur then held her ears and then said,"Main bhi sorry maine usdin tumhe maara tha na.Aaj ke baad aisa kabhi nehi hoga."Pari asked,"Mamma ab nehi maayegi na?"Nupur nodded her head.Nupur asked,"Ek drawing banayi thi na Pari ne,mamma papa aur Pari ki vo drawing kaha hai?"Pari replied,"Bo to bo ghal mein hai."Nupur then started telling her a story and slowly Pari fall asleep.So she put her on the bed and then slept beside her staring at her closely and remembering her mother and Shilpa's words that Pari was just exactly like her and how could she hate her.Unknown to her,she started rubbing her head and in that process she too fall asleep.When Mayank returned to the room,he was surprised and thanked his luck that he was able to see this scene also where Nupur was sleeping with her daughter.He came towards the bed and then covered them with the blanket and too slept beside them.Next day,on the breakfast table,Pari again started crying and shouting for not having her food and at that moment only Nupur arrived.On seeing Nupur,she remembered how she slapped her for crying over food and she remained quiet.Nupur asked,"Kyu chilla rahi ho?"Pari slowly replied,"Ganni thichli hai."Nupur looked at her food and then went inside the kitchen and brought a piece of lemon and then squeezed it over the food and then after missing it,she took a spoonful and asked Pari to have it.After feeding her,Nupur asked,"Kaisi hai khichdi?"Pari replied,"Itti aththi thichli hai."Pari then started running all over the house with Nupur shouting from behind.Without realization,she picked up the bowl from Shilpa's hand and started running behind Pari and feeding her.She gradually was tired of her and said,"Main apne office mein pura din kaam karke itna nehi thakti hu jitna tu mujhe apne peeche bhaga kar thaka rahi hai."She again resumed her running and on seeing this everyone were happy thinking that now Nupur was slowly breaking the shell of her ego and anger and the mother was coming out of her shell.Shilpa said to Gayatri,"Samdhanji abse hum na Pari ka ek bhi kaam nehi karenge,dekhte hai tab Nupur kya karti hai."Gayatri agreed and then said,"Aapne to meri muh ki baat cheen li,bilkul sahi kaha hai aapne."Bothe the ladies agreed over that.

One day,Pari was very hungry and no one brought food for her which never happened till now,because either Shilpa aur Gayatri always used to bring food for her before she could feel her hunger.She went to look out for them and even found them and said,"Daadi naani mudhe bhuth lagi hai."Gayatri said,"Beta abhi mujhe maasi ko dekhna hai na,tum daadi ko bolo."Shilpa said,"Arey muhe bhi to Mayank ko dekhna tha,beta abhi tum jaakar mami ko bolo vo de degi."Pari searched for someone but all were busy.At last she found Nupur who was seeing the decoration.Pari stood behind her and pulled her dupatta and Nupur turned to look at her and then asked,"Pari kya hua?"She made a sad face and replied,"Mamma mudhe bhuth lagi hai,daadi aul naani ko kaha to bo dono maachi aul papa ke paach tali gayi.Mudhe khaana do na mamma."Nupur looked at the time and then said,"Arey abhi to sabke khaane ka time ho gaya hai aur Pari ne bhi to kitni subhe ko khana khaaya hoga aur abhitak kisine usko khaana nehi khilaaya.Kitni ajeeb baat hai."Nupur was a bit disturbed thinking there were so many people in the house but no one even cared for a baby especially when she just recovered from a high fever.She took Pari with her and then made her sit on the kitchen table and then took out food for her.She started feeding her and then said,"Abse jab bhi tumhe bhukh lage na tum aakar mujhe bolna thik hai."Pari nodded her head.Gayatri and Shilpa peeped from the door and were very happy seeing that.After feeding her,when Nupur took Pari outside,she found both the ladies and then said to them,"Pari abhi abhi bimaari se uthi hai,usne aapse khaana maanga aur aap logo ke paas uske liye waqt hi nehi hai.Mujhe aap logo se aisi ummeed nehi thi."Gayatri said,"Sharam to tujhe aani chahiye kyuki bachche ko agar kuch bhi chahiye to vo sabse pehle apni ma ke paas jaata hai.Tu vaise bhi dekh rahi hai na ke shaadi ke vajah se hum log kitna busy hai,to abse ye sab tu hi dekha kar."Nupur asked,"To phir Pari ko yaha kyu lekar aaye the aap log?"Saying she left from there and the ladies giggled at her back.

Everyone started ignoring Pari from that moment and that one thing was not liked by Nupur and that in turn was instigating her motherhood.From feeding to bathing,Nupur took care of her as no one was taking care.During the marriage ceremony,Pari went to Gunjan and said,"Maachi chab chaj laye hai,mudhe bi chaja do na aththe kappe pehnaake."Gunjan replied,"Pari beta mujhe khudko abhi tayyar hona hai na to aap kisi aur ke paas jaao aapko saja denge."Nupur was coming in that way when she heard their conversation.Pari was pleading Gunjan but she herself had to get ready and so was avoiding her.Nupur was getting angry at Gunjan's behaviour when Mayank put his hand on her shoulder.Nupur looked at him and then said,"Aajkal dekh rahe ho na tum kaise sab meri beti ke saath bartaav kar rahe hai.Koi usko time par khaana nehi deta hai,aaj bichaari Gunjan ko keh rahi hai sajaane ke liye par uske paas ek bachchi ko tayyar karne ka time nehi hai."He felt very strange and asked,"To tumhe itna bura kyu lag raha hai?Tum bhi to hamesha uske saath aisa hi karti thi?Tum bhito usko ignore karti thi na?"Nupur remembered how she used to be careless about Pari always but she replied,"Ha main jaanti hu par uswaqt koi na koi uske paas tha,par ab saare usko ignore kar rahe hai na.Tumhe pata hai jab yaha koi mujhse baat nehi karta tha tab sirf ek yehi thi jisne mujhe support kiya.Par mujhe bohot bura lagta hai jab saare uske saath aisa bartaav karte hai to."Mayank said,"Mei ma hamesha kehti hai ke chahe ek bachche ke saath uske saare rishtedaar ho par jiski ma nehi hoti uska koi nehi hota.Jiski ma hi usko hamesha ignore karti usey aur koi kitna dhyan de sakta hai.Agar tumhe itna hi bura lagta hai apni beti ke liye to why don't you take care of her."Nupur looked at Mayank at first and then at Pari and then walked towards her.Pari was returning sadly and then Nupur stopped her and asked,"Pari itni udaas kyu hai?"Pari replied,"Maachi chabche aththa chaja ke deti hai par aaj maachi ne Payi ko nei chajaya."Nupur cupped her face and said,"Thik hai maasi ne nehi sajaya hai na to mamma saja kar degi.Pata hai mamma ne hi to sajna seekhaya hai maasi ko.Mamma maasi se bhi zyaada achche se tumhe sajaayegi."Pari was very happy and then Nupur took her to her room.Nupur made Pari wear her dress and made her ready very beautifully and then brought her outside where the marriage was going to take place.Pari was on Mayank's arms when Shilpa saw her and asked,"Arey waah Pari to bilkul Pari jaisi lag rahi hai.Kisne sajaya aapko?"Pari made a face and replied,"Mei mamma ne chajaya,maachi ko kehna ab Payi kabi unke paach nei aayegi kyuki abi mei mamma mujhe aththe che chaja degi.Hai na papa?"Mayank nodded his head.Shilpa smiled at Mayank and he to smiled back.While in the marriage,Nupur took Pari in her arms so that she could see the marriage.Earlier whenever she saw her cousins with their mother,she used to feel sad but now she proudly wrapped her hands on her mother's neck signifying that she too had her mother with her.

[ 1 month later ]

Nupur slowly realized how much she loved her daughter and that too always.She showered all her love over her daughter and Mayank too,on realizing his mistake,gave as much attention as she needed.Nupur left her company's job and took a job as lecturer in a college which allowed her ample of time to spend with her daughter.Shilpa and Shekhar both were happy seeing the family bonding so well.On getting love of both her parents,Pari became very naughty but instead of scolding her like earlier,Nupur used to explain her very lovingly.One day,Mayank purchased a frock for Pari while returning from office.On seeing the frock,Nupur said,"Mayank iski kya zarurat thi?Jab bhi tumhe koi frock pasand aati hai tum utha late ho."Mayank asked Pari,"Beta tumhe ye frock pasand aayi?"Pari nodded her head.He said,"Pari ko pasand hai na bas mujhe aur kisi cheez se koi fark nehi parta hai."Nupur was about to scold Mayank when Pari said to her mother,"Mamma mee papa aththe papa hai.Papa aapko le aaye tabhi to aap mei mamma ho.Papa nei late to aap bhi mei mamma nei hoti."Nupur was shocked to hear such words from Pari's mouth and she asked,"Ye sab kisne seekhaya tumhe?"Pari replied,"Papa ne."Nupur started scolding both father and the daughter and said,"Mayank tumhe sharam nehi aayi Pari ko aisi baate seekhate huye.Vo bachchi hai aur tum Pari zyaada baro ke tarah baate mat karo,sirf baby ke tarah rehna."Mayank,in a romantic tone,said,"To galat kya kaha?Agar main nehi hota to tum kisse shaadi karti aur shaadi nehi karti to hamaari sweet si angel kaise is duniya mein aati?"Nupur glared at Mayank and then grinned,"Aisi baate koi karta hai kya bachche ke saamne?"She then said to him,"Khabardaar agar aisi behuda baate meri beti ko seekhayi to aur ha aajkal main dekh rahi hu dono baap beti bohot bigad gaye ho.Apni hadh mein raho dono varna mujhse bura koi nehi hoga aur tum Mayank Pari ko spoil karna bandh karo."Both Mayank and Pari showed their tongue to her.

One day,in the morning,both Nupur and Pari woke up but Mayank didn't.Pari angrily said to her mother,"Mamma mee papa ganne papa hai,abitak nei uthe."Nupur looked at sleeping Mayank and then asked,"To papa ko utha de?"Pari nodded her head and then both mother and the daughter climbed on Mayank's back since he was sleeping on his stomach and then he screamed aloud and Nupur and Pari fall on the side of the bed while laughing.Mayank screamed and got up on the bed and asked,"Moti bhais kahiki mere peeth par beth gayi.Main insaan hu haathi nehi."Nupur stopped laughing and then looked at Pari and then said to Mayank,"Pari ki to zyaada weight nehi hai to tumne moti bhais kisko bola?Main moti hu?"Mayank understood that he had made the biggest blunder of his life and then tried to explain but Nupur just took up a pillow and started beating Mayank with that pillow and kept saying,"Mujhe moti bola,mujhe...Tumhaari himmat kaise hui?Main kisi bhi angle se moti lagti hu kya tumko?Tumhe pata hai aaj bhi mujhe sab kehte hai ke mujhe dekh kar koi nehi keh sakta hai ke main ek bachchi ki ma hu,maine is tarah se khudko maintain kiya hai."Mayank kept on apologizing and said,"Iam sorry Nupur mera vo matlab nehi tha,maine to bas...Pari beta mujhe apni mamma se bachaao."He kept on pleading Pari and Pari,in turn laughed like hell.

One day,Nupur brought some seed and was planting them on a tub.Pari came and on seeing that asked,"Mamma ye kya hai?"Nupur replied,"Beta ye seed hai.Isey maine yaha tub ki mitti mein daal diya hai na to isse plant niklega.Jaise dadu aur daadi ke kamre mein hai thik vaisa."Mayank came with a mug of water and then said,"Ab phir isme pani daalne se ye aur jaldi barega thik hamaari Pari ki tarah."Pari asked,"Payi kyu daalte hai?"Nupur replied,"Jaise jab Pari ko pyaas lagti hai to vo pani peeti hai na?Thik vaise hi plant ko bhi pani chahiye barne ke liye."She asked,"Ye mee jitta bala ho daayega?"Mayank replied,"Ha jaise Pari ko barne ke liye achchi achchi cheeze khaani parti hai thik vaise hi,plant ko bhi dhoop aur pani chahiye hota hai.Jaise tum hamaari seed ho na,seed of love,thik vaise hi ye seed hai jo aagey chalkar plant banega."Pari thought of something and then ran to Shilpa and asked some milk from her.After taking the milk glass,when she came to pour the milk on the plant,Nupur stopped her and asked,"Ye kya kar rahi ho?"Pari replied,"Mamma aap kehti ho na ke dudu peene che hum tong ho daayenge,pan (plant)ko bhi to tong hona payega na."Nupur and Mayank started laughing and then Mayank said,"Plants ye sab nehi peete hai beta,varna plant mar jaayega."Nupur then said to Pari,"Tum bas plant ko paani daalna hamesha phir dekhna plant bhi tumhaare tarah bara ho jaayega."On hearing that,Pari poured water on the plant.

Few days later,a small branch came out of the soil of the tub and three of them took care of that just like Nupur and Mayank took care of their seed of love,Pari and they happily lived ever after.
