Chapter-2
Kutumb is busy in arranging everything. Her both sons Uday Bhushan and Vidith Bhushan and their wifes Sunania and Seema are busy following the orders of Kutumb. Inder is silently sitting on his chair reading his newspaper as if nothing is happening in the house. He is sure Nupur might have planned some mischief to make the guy and his family run away.
Kutumb "aree sunania ye kya ab thak pakoda nahin bana, ladka vala aatha hi honga. I donot want any complaints"
Sunanina "mummy ji, aap shant hojayeya aur vasa bi Nupur might have planned something to get away from this match"
Kutumb "iss baar koi gadba nahin hogi, I wonot allow Nupur to talk with that guy at all"
By 10.30 AM Sharma family Mr. & Mrs. Sharma, Samrat and Mayank reached Bhushan Nivas. Kutumb and Inder received them with a full of honor. Mayank kept a plastic smile for the sake of his mother. Samrat is enjoying the importance given to them. Mayank is sitting impatiently to say 'no' and run from there, he is having a meeting after this. To his mother's disappointment Mayank planned his next appointment just an hour from now.
Mayank whispers "Samrat where is the girl, I have to attend the meeting. Please ask her to come soon"
Samrat "Mayu, shut up who told you to fix the appointment at this hour. Have some patience and try to smile a little"
Seema comes out first to serve the snacks.
Immediately Mayank tells to his mother "I did not like the girl, can we go"
Samrat nags Mayank says "if you want to marry her, vuska pati tumhara baad baja dega"
Mayank then notices her sindoor says "oh, ok"
Then comes Dia with a broad smile says "namasta"
Mayank immediately turns towards Samrat says "mujhe lagtha hain ladki bohot choti hain, so I did not like her lets go"
Samrat "Mayu, good tum hara eye sight abeee teek hain, oh choti hain not your girl" Mayank keeps a irritating face"expect my girl everyone are coming I think girl is not interested lets go", without thinking Mayank refered Nupur as 'my girl', and he is about to get up some light falls on his face blinding his eyes, Mayank rises his head with irritation to see a girl coming out of her room in lehnga and the light is reflection of sunlight from the mirrors of her duppatta. Mayank sits with an open mouth looking at her. She is looking breath-takingly beautiful. With her red lehnga and minial make-up has enhanced her sharp features. She is looking like an angel in red lenhga coming towards him. Kutumb brings Nupur down and makes her sit infront of the guests. Mayank is looking at the girl with a open mouth.
Samrat mistakes that Mayank is looking at the food infront of them says "Mayu, close your mouth, it looks like you are seeing the food for the first time"
Mayank turns towards Samrat shouts "kya?" making everyone look at them.
Nupur comes out of the room with an annoyed look. Comes down and sits infront of everyone. Kutumb introduced her to everyone and when kutumb introduced Mayank, Nupur dropped her eyelids without glancing at him. She sits infront of Mayank bending her head.
Mayank's sudden shout made Nupur to raise her head and look at him. At the same time Mayank turned back to look at Nupur. Their eyes met for the first time and locked for eternal, the sparks started flying in the air. Nupur felt her breath caught in her throat looking into Mayank's eyes. He is looking devilishly handsome. With his rough look, broad shoulders and his T-shirt enhancing his well build body. He is looking like male model came from ramp. Nupur never went for physical beauty but something in his eyes which made her capacitive. They both forgot that a lot of people are around them. Without saying a single word to each other they felt as if they know each other from long time. Mayank nods his head slightly towards Nupur as if he is asking her to breath. Then Nupur noticed that she stopped breathing. She takes a deep breath, swallowing the lump form in her throat. Looking at Nupur's reaction Mayank gives his dimple smile, it sends a thousand butterflies in Nupur's stomach. She blushes and bends her head. Mayank breath stops this time seeing Nupur's blush. She looks both sides and slowly rised her head to look into his eyes. She is behaving like a blushing bride for the first time in her life. If anyone has noticed this they might have fainted by now looking at the blush formed on Nupur's cheeks. Mayank is openly admiring the beauty infront of him. If anyone noticed Mayank now they can say he is ready to marry Nupur on the spot.
Mayank impatiently waits to talk with Nupur alone. But to his bad luck kutumb already decided not to allow Nupur to talk with Mayank as she fears Nupur will sure do some mischief to cancel the match.
Kutumb politely says "we never allow the guy to talk with our girl, it is not our tradition. Please donot mind" Mayank gets disappointed where Nupur keeps a sad face as she know why kutumb rejected.
Nupur curses herself 'oh I think god is taking revenge on me not allowing me to talk with Mayank, I donot know why I feel I really like him' the self-realization give her a wave of shock, she actually like the guy whom she is seeing for the first time and never talked in her life but she really feels some connection with him.
On otherside Mayank 'oh I missed the chance to talk with her but not a problem I can talk with her once our marriage gets settled, wait a minute marriage, am I thinking of marriage' Mayank sits in a shocked state as realizes what his mind and heart are thinking.
Slowly Samrat says to her mother that Mayank is not happy with the match and gives some bahana. Mayank's mother still asks "Mayank you did not like the girl" Mayank is in trans still thinking what he realized just now. When Samrat nags him, Mayank nods his head as no as Samrat said at house without hearing what his mother is asking. Mayank's mother gets disappointed and they gets up saying "we will let you know our wish as soon as we reach our home" Kutumb understands the inner meaning of the words and gets disappointed and says "ok ji as you wish" Samrat makes Mayank to stand and drags him to the car.
As soon as they reach the car Mayank pushes Samrat's hand asks "why you bought me out we still did not talk with them"
Samrat "are you sleeping, as you said mom rejected the match" Mayank "kya, but mein tho-"
Mayank want to run back and shout "he want to marry Nupur" but no words formed in his mouth. Mayank silently sits in the car thinking 'how can simple looks break my determination of not marrying and to concentrate on my goal. Her one look did the magic; I feel it is worth to marry her over my goals. God what is happening to me?'
