Tanu you CAN find the right guy for you😃
Not all men are like that...my dad is an absolute gentleman!

In a lot of regional movies I've seen men becoming drunkards, and abusing the wife who strives hard to protect her children!

Tell me about it Mou! Her dad refused to go to pick up her reports, so my mom had to do it...her teacher misunderstood her, so my mom spoke to the teacher about all the probs! Ever since the family came to know about that, they have refused to allow her to use phone or leave the house, except for school! 😡

Aww Rose, you all are really really kind to say that. I am just an ordinary person with a tough childhood. I am thankful to my aunt and uncle to give me a life and let me study. I love books, they are my addiction and I can't thank them enough for that ever. I may not have got the love and warmth I needed in life but I got education and I got a chance to discover myself and we all still have a long way to go! I am such a scaredy cat at times and so emotional, ask my friends here Rose!😆

Sowie Taps I guess am deviating things from the main topic.

Kanky and Ayesha lovely posts and I love the fact that you youngsters have described your cynicism so beautifully. Yep I agree, a cynical attitude towards the motives of the MJHT creatives is always the best path to choose. This way, expectations don't rise and there are no emotions hurt when those expectations are not met! 😊

I was surprised that the creatives chose to showcase the issue of domestic violence in MJHT. It is an issue close to my heart and I started to respond on the forum. I know the odds that the Creatives will treat this subject with maturity and sensitivity are stacked very high against us. Well, at the end of it all, it's their loss. Once upon a time, Star One was a niche channel that catered to an intelligent audience with their differently themed shows! I guess all that is now lost under a hormonal haze of hawwt sequences and heavy petting sessions!
😊😊

Senny....*hugs you tight*.... you are indeed a brave girl to speak up about your life in public forum. I understand you still have fears about seeing the violence and you don't consider yourself strong enough to save them.
But you are senny.... you are stronger than you think.... it is part of growing up and learning about your own self-potential. I'm sure, one day you will have enough courage to save such lifes.
Nidheya... child abuse is equally bad. In fact, it is worse, since it sows the seeds of violence at a young age... these victim children become violent when they grow up because they think this is normal. They think it's okay if parents beat the children.

Anu I liked that you intermingled the personal and the social in your post! Beautifully written!

I am so glad that this thread has provided a platform for us women to share stories, mainly unpleasant ones, and erase the silences around us. We need to speak out more and get our stories heard. It is also very sad that the lives of so many women are bound together by violence and not love! That is what hurts me the most!
