Ahhhh surreal is the word!! 😃 I know quite a few people had problems with 'Gunjan:The sister' but seeing her anguish today just made me realise that she had, in that one moment, expressed how incomplete she is without Nupur. We tend to take our loved ones for granted and Nupur was the only constant presence in her life, every single day. If her sister is there then she can deal with any problem.

Sanaya and Rati just gel so well on-screen. They were both so bang on in expressing their character's feelings. Sanaya cried like baby!!! Rati was really fatnastic too in portraying Nupur's dilemma. She knew something was pulling her but didn't know what!

The beauty of the scene was that even if Nupur doesn't recognise any of them, she was still drawn by Gunjan's emotions in that song.

Oh yes, and I've updated...I don't think it's that hard to notice anyway! 😆

Ditto! I don't even know why but its the first show where I'm more interested in a non-romantic couple... 🤣 But I guess love comes in all different forms....as cheesy as that sounds.

It was a BRILLIANT write-up! 👏

Everything you said is so true! Sanaya and Rati were both absolutely amazing!
That is exactly why I love MJHT more than any other show that is currently on air...This bond between two sisters has always been so strong, ever since the beginning of the show. I was quite scared that Season 2 wouldn't have the same sort of relationship between Nupur and Gunjan, but today's episode has put an end to that fear. I just hope that we'll have many more reasons to love and cherish the Morena sisters' bond this season!
And I also want some SBS segments with SaRa...Watching the Making of MJHT and the Curtain Raiser this past weekend has made me wish that they had more offscreen footage than just a few SBS segments! 😳

Yup it was a beautiful re-union....
Rati and Sanaya were splendid in every aspect and conveyed the emotions and feelings beautifully...

From the way Nupur looked, i have a feeling she was feeling the pain also but was trying hard to fight it in order to prevent revealing herself infront of them...

This scene brought me to tears...Loved the whole of it...and Salutes to these two beautiful ladies who enacted it perfectly....😃😃😃😃😃😃

Hey Reemz,

I am so sorry for the delay. I just dozed off on my lappy, Well thats something new for a change, thankfully I wasn't caught or else I would have been so in trouble😆😆. I have never connnected to Gunjan's pain and loss so powerfully as I did in a couple of minutes scene, today😳. I have always liked Gunur's scenes but today was a scene that leaves so many scenes of the show far behind.

The sisters bond has been the most beautiful and consistent one in the show. Today in the second season, when we got the first taste of this scene. It made history and will stay in my heart for long. The idea and concept of a sister not getting angry and just without any questions wanting to be with her sister or any loved one is nothing new but the execution of this scene, perfect direction and acting was just commendable!

Sanaya Irani, whoa this lady was just amazing today and the way she held on to Nupur's hand like a little daughter not wanting to let her mummy go for work is what I found. The bond has been portrayed so realistically that one can do nothing but believe in the relationship of these two sisters with full conviction.

Rati was brilliant as the indifferent person in the picture and not knowing what to do or say exactly, being in a daze when G was kneeling down and then coming back to realise whats happening.

But Sanaya with the clear set of emotions required to show had me in tears with her and glued to her acting. The way her voice changed, all felt from the heart.

Beautiful beautiful beautiful scene, done really well.

Sanaya and Rati, especially Sanaya as this was her scene and show all the way for me today!👏 👏👏
a creation of a hopeful mind, an incomplete heart, a longing soul..
^So beautifully worded. Nupur made everything right for her! She is a lost soul without her Di simply because she depended on her when she needed her parents. I still remember when Gunjan got shot, Nupur was crying and telling their Dad how she was the one who raised Gunjan, she would decide what she would wear, who she would talk to. Gunjan is the product of Nupur's upbringing! She could cry on her shoulder when there was any issue with Samrat, she was just THERE 24/7. Her sister was her everything and her everything was taken away within a night. As soon as she fell on the floor, it was as if she was finally letting herself free. All those emotions she had hidden somewhere had come out! The kiss on the hand was so adorable and touching.

At that moment, Gunjan didn't care for anyone else. She just wanted to be with her sister and no-one else. The desperation was so obvious when she said everything will go according to what Nupur wants but she CANNOT leave her again. But when did Nupur even demand anything? Gunjan couldn't afford to lose her Di again!

Thanks so much, Reemz! Embarrassed
I have this tendency to write out scenes that really impact me...This is the first one I've done for MJHT; I should have known it would be a Nupur-Gunjan scene that would cause me to react like this!
I was watching the episode today, and when Gunjan remembered how Nupur pleaded with her to sing, I was amazed because I had spent the entire weekend watching GuNur scenes, and that was the first one I watched - the one that was shown in Gunjan's flashback before she closed her eyes to sing. It was incredible!
And the fact that you brought up the hospital scenes has put a smile on my face because I watched those scenes also, and I was thinking about those scenes when I wrote about their relationship in the one-shot. How Nupur said that she took care of everything from Gunjan's food to her clothes to the people she spoke with...We're definitely thinking of the same scene!
Also, the conversation that Gunjan has with Nupur when Nupur went to tell her that she probably wouldn't be able to walk again...That scene had me weeping along with the two of them! I'm sure I'll be writing about those hospital scenes again very soon!
I know I had predicted that Gunjan would be hurt and angry when she came face to face with Nupur after so long, but the way it was written and developed, there truly could not have been a more beautiful way to show Gunjan's complete devotion to her Di. All the anger melted away and the pain came out in a flood of tears. Something inside her gave way, and all of her emotions, whether anger, happiness, frustration, guilt, or sadness - all of them were let out at once.
I am in awe of Sanaya yet again, as she has outdone herself once more in a scene that must have been so emotionally and physically draining to enact with such conviction. I am in awe of Rati yet again, as anyone else would not have been able to maintain that carefully controlled blank face during an outburst as heartwrenchingly sincere as Sanaya's. It is during a scene like this where we can see the immense acting talent of these two ladies come together to create a picture of perfection, the picture of completeness that is what has come to define Nupur-Gunjan.

It was truly touching, loved how Gunjan broke down completely on seeing nupur.......she so desparately wanted her back in her life, but she was afraid to believe nupur was alive, as she couldn't go through that pain and loss all over again.....that is one reason why I could totally identify with Gunjan, when she lashed out at Samrat or argued with Mayank when they tried telling her nupur could be alive even though many were disappointed with the way Gunjan reacted, all the built up pain came out on seeing her sister today. Sanaya was awesome and the chemistry between them is still intact, which is because I think they share an odd comfort level where both actors strive to give their best in their scenes together....after a long time I am able say well written scene in MJHT and I think tat is only becos of the consistency the makers have shown for the GUNUR bonding in this show 😊

Call me biased but I think it was a better re-union than any of the romantic couples would have had in the show.

Her voice especially trembled when she said 'Bas mujhe chorke mat jaa----', she couldn't even complete the sentence without sobbing so it definately didn't seem like acting!

Oh yes... Definitely... I was much more eager for the sisters' reunion than the couples reunion.... Their scenes are always so real, so lovely and so natural.

I know!! Her voice actually became thick, like it happens when you cry. That surely didn't look like acting from any angle. Sanaya was the highlight of the epi yesterday, and she was absolutely mindblowing. Kudos to her for making all of us cry with her.

And as Borna mentioned above, Gunjan didn't care why Nupur didn't contact her for 3 years. Her complete focus was on not letting Nupur go away. She wasn't angry, because she got her world back seeing Nupur alive and that's what mattered most to her.

This is something like a one-shot from Gunjan's perspective...I just started watching this part, and the words just came automatically. I didn't mean for it to be so long, but that's what happens when Rati and Sanaya enact something so emotionally charged as a confrontation like this with flawless perfection! The clarity with which they understand the nuances of their characters as well as the Nupur-Gunjan relationship, with all its layers and intricacies...Naturally it could only lead to me attempting to write out everything and trying to understand Gunjan's feelings. I'm just as confused as everyone else is about Nupur - hence the perspective.
The ENTIRE MJHT team deserves a standing ovation - after so long, a wonderful episode with my favorite four!
---------------
"Bahut din ho gaye teri awaaz sune huye. Please, gaa na, Gunjan. Please!"
Gunjan closes her eyes, and the memory comes flooding back. This song, the same one she has sung time and time again...First an expression of her feelings about being in a new city with no one but her Di to cling to for support...Now a plea to bring her sister back to her...It takes immense effort to sing as the tears flow slowly down her cheeks.
She finishes singing, but the only sound that follows is that of the birds chirping, oblivious to the sorrows that hang in the air. Gunjan's hopes plummet to the ground as Mayank comes back to her and Samrat. He hadn't found her, and she hadn't come.
They turn to leave, but a force stronger than anything they have ever experienced before urges them to turn around...And she is there. Nupur.
"Tum jaa rahi ho na, Di...Toh kuch toh chod kar jaana hoga..."
"Kuch nahi, Gunjan. Sab kuch..."
Gunjan walks slowly toward the woman standing before them, her feet moving forward as if propelled by themselves, as if she is detached from the rest of the world and the only world that exists is the one in which she and her Di are in...But is she really there...? She's not an apparition, a creation of a hopeful mind, an incomplete heart, a longing soul...?
Struggling to take a shaky breath, blinking back tears as she looks into cool brown eyes, Gunjan reaches out trembling hands to cup her sister's face, and she knows that she is not living in a dream.
"Di...Di..." The words form on her lips, but no sound comes out. Her hands drop from Nupur's face to her shoulders, confirming that the person standing before her is living, breathing...The overwhelming sensation is enough to send her collapsing to the ground, hands sliding, grasping at those arms that had encircled her in a protective embrace year after year - an embrace that had left her feeling vulnerable and cold for the past three years.
When she has enough strength to take a breath, the air comes in a great, rasping shudder, and an anguished cry escapes her throat, a half-sob and a whimper that would have evoked pity from even the hardest of hearts. The pain that had been bottled up for years stings as Gunjan cries, gasping for breath at the feet of her Di. Di, who was never just an elder sister to her...She was, and is, everything to her. Her sister, her father, her mother, her friend, her entire world.
Nupur stands there, unmoving, her face expressionless, as Gunjan clings to her just as the dying cling to the air and memories around them, afraid to let go.
Samrat and Mayank ask her why she won't scold Nupur for tormenting them so; Gunjan lets out a strangled, "Nahi! Main kisi ke saath nahi hoon. Mere Di ke alaawa main kisi ke saath nahi hoon!"
And how could it be otherwise? They had always been there for each other, through the hardest of times. Nupur had always been there to wipe Gunjan's tears and console her; Gunjan had always been there to calm Nupur in times of panic. They were each others' strength. Gunjan would never let Nupur leave her side again, not ever, no matter what it took.
"Di...Tum jo bhi kahoge...bilkul waisa hoga! Sab kuch tumhari marzi se hoga! Bas...Bas mujhe kabhi chod ke mat jaana!" Her voice cracks as her self-control crumbles. "I promise, Di! Tum jo bhi kahoge, woh hoga! Lekin tumhe bhi promise karna hoga...Ke tum mujhe kabhi chod kar nahi jaaoge. Tum mujhe kabhi akela nahi chodogi! Promise karo, Di! Promise karo..."
Nothing could have prepared Gunjan for the shock that follows when Nupur pulls her hands out of Gunjan's, stepping away from her. She looks at her hands, and then up at her sister, confusion on her face. And nothing could have prepared her for the complete confusion that swirls around them all when Nupur speaks.
"Yeh...Kya naatak laga rakha hai?"

Borna!! This is amaaaazingly written.. I have no other words!! It's perfectly worded. Totally love you for this!! 🤗
