well that may be some sorta inside lingo.. but I am pretty sure all Iranis are a sect of zoroastrians..in fact they r a lil diff from even parsis..I had a good friend Anahita Irani..so I know..and one more of my friend here Zoeisha Irani is the same and incidentally her brother's name is Jehangir..she had a major argument with a french friend of ours who did not see the differences between muslims and parsis/ iranis 😆 😆 😆

well to be precise Diya Iranis are a different community from parsis although they practice the same religion.. in fact they migrated later to India..the parsis came sooner and set up businesses like the tatas or the godrej etc.. All this info coz of the long arugment with friends and us sitting and reading on it 😆

Sonali i am a parsi and I know there is no indication of such language. She may be parsi and Iranian but i have never heard of such greetings in our community.

Yeah true thats what i was thinking that possibly she lived in Iran. But she never mentioned that at all. She mentioned her being brought up in Ooti.

Well in the end, muslim, parsi, hindu it doesn't matter.

Sona, Parsis worship at the Fire temple and have a Navroze ceremony, right? (or something like that - I forget exactly what it was) And we were invited for these friends' son's ceremony ... so they may be a separate community, but they practice the religion the same way ...

The parsis anyway are a very small and tightly knit community and have given India some of it's best brains and entrepreneurs ... they're supposed to be super inteliigent, .... and slightly whacky! Apart from Tatas ... other famous Parsis who've done India proud - Zubin Mehta and Freddie mercury ...

*edit* ... btw, what are u doing here at this time???😆
