You know, there's this axiom I always believed to be true. "Injuries are healed but the scars remain."
And in this case, it fits perfectly. I'll go character wise (Including SG, but I do not want anyone bashing me for the same.)
Mayank- He lost the love of his life. The ONLY girl he ever loved. The same girl who turned is black and white life into a colorful, cheerful life. He owed his life to Nupur. He owed her all the happiness in the world, in return to the happiness she gave him. And at such a time, when life snatched her away from him, he began blaming life. He blamed himself, that he couldn't reward her with the same happiness she'd given him. At times like this, the person who's going through such a loss, needs someone to throw all his burden upon. And that's what Mayank did. He threw that burden on Samrat's shoulders. He took his friend for granted, put the blame on him, so he could mourn on his wife's death, because somewhere he held himself responsible for Nupur's death, and he himself knew it that Samrat wasn't at fault. So when he comes face to face with Nupur, that guilt will resurface, this time, double the guilt. So it'll be a turning point in his life as well. That's what I feel it will be.
Gunjan- Like Mayank, she lost the most important part of her life. For her, Nupur's loss was like the loss of her mother. She couldn't bare the loss of her mother all over again. But yet, like Mayank, even Gunjan ended up taking Samrat for granted. She felt, if this could reduce her pain, she'd do it. She stayed away from Samrat, only because she didn't want to come to terms with reality, and in the process, trying to move on. Yet, when Nupur will return, that guilt will resurface. And her real challenge would be to deal with the fact that she's actually guilty of nearly destroying a life, for no fault of his. And I think Gunjan does deserve to go through this guilt.
Samrat- He has suffered the most. He was carrying Mayank's as well as Gunjan's burden on his shoulders, combined with his own feelings of guilt. He felt he deserved this, and he was so burdened with guilt, that he did not once bother to contemplate that it wasn't really his fault. He tried to punish himself, yet his punishment was to live alone the rest of his life. But with Nupur's return, unlike the other two, Samrat will be relieved of the guilt he'd been carrying since the beginning. But ofcourse, he'll be facing the guilt of not trying to inquire about Nupur. But how could he, when he couldn't even think for once that he wasn't guilty of her death? And for once, I feel Samrat needs to be selfish, and throw all his burden on Gunjan and Mayank. They do deserve it to an extent.
Nupur- The most suffered one. She was in trauma centre for 3 whole years, she'd suffered a lot. All she expected was to meet her loved ones once she came out of that place. But she was hurt beyond words when no one came to look for her. There was no one to hug her and free her from her sufferings, the mental trauma she'd gone through. And in such a situation, she blamed them, and decided to live life all on her own. But ofcourse, when she meets them, that hurt and pain and that trauma of 3 years will haunt her. So it'll be a real challenge for the other three to actually relieve her of her pain.
As for the relationship between the four, maybe it'll be back to normal later, but it won't be the same. Cause like I said, there may be instances when this could resurface again.
