I know Sona ..its not like i totally hate Bengali oriented drama or movies..but its abt taste..I dont hate all but like very few Lol..I like 1 or 2shows which come @ star jalsha..but in Bangladeshi channel most of d show r *sleepy"type few r gud to watch..anyways moms r like dat only..Dey want what dey love we should love dem too lol but kya kare adat se majboor haha..but still momies r cute<3

wow ... someone talking about the original Devdas ... and not Bhansali's delusional comedy of empty grandiosity ... Suchitra Sen was CLASSIC Paro ... Ash was a parody, so was SRK ... the only one who came somewhere near the correct feelings and emotions was Madhuri ... I saw the Dilip Kumar one, actually went and bought it after watching Bhansali's Devdas, cos I needed to get that taste out of my mouth! Garish opulent sets, loud acting, no feeling ... yuck!!!

haven't seen the original bengali version, that i would love to ... and Uttam Kumar is another class act! But Suchitra Sen ... wow! Classy doesn't begin to describe that lady!!!
For you crazy Bongs ... a tidbit of info ... did you know Vyjanthimala, who played Chandramukhi in that Devdas, won ... and refused Best Supporting Actress award ... she felt Chandramukhi was a parallel lead, not a supporting ... first actress to refuse an award, i think 🤣

Hey once a bong always a bong... 😆 Its in my blood... well not to shoc kr disappoint u..but I haven't seen the dilip kumar version..altho if I take my mom's words..she tht it was a good ode.. to the original.. but as much as I annoy my mom..uttam's devdas and suchitra..man I am yet to see such a classic.. after that you see bhansali's magnum opus..n u seriously feel unfortunate for being a part of this superficial plastic generation..that day I really knew what our parent tht of us 😆

As for yer vayjantimala trivia..I can't imagine..besides I think her casting may have demotivated me to watch tht version...coz I aint all tht fond of her n dilip kumar they remind me of 2 drama (I am a lil modern for the mughal e azam sorta expression)..of the 60s.. even for my love of suchitra I rather see an Andhi than devdas.. as for the MJHT version...well like I said I will not take offense coz if bhansali a great film maker could goof up big time..MJHT has a perfect record of goofing up even simple tracks.. and if any CV rep is readin it..please try to think as a viewer.. interlacing editing works sometimes..not in such scenario when the contrast in the 2 contexts is soo vast tht it takes viewers heck lot of orientation..it was irritating how every time the scene picked momentum the frame changed..head desk

Why do people think Nupur's entry is "illogical" ? Her dead body was NOT shown, Gunjan just gave away Nupur's accessories to Mayank with which they all presumed that she is dead, her entry is absolutely LOGICAL in my opinion because true love never dies, it comes back in some form or the other.

And come on this topic makes complete sense to me. I think the Excel college students were supposed to be given the chance to portray Dev and Paro, but no, the trustee and councillor ended up doing it, in my opinion they should have been judging it rather than enacting it 😆. But again, what else can one expect from the makers.
