Agree with u aashi its difficult to put ur feeling into words and for that some of us take help of songs, quotes and some dialogues from others. I am not sure that we realize just how IMPORTANT the words we speak are, every and each word we speak. It does not matter if we are speaking it to ourselves or others...words are one of the most powerful forces...period. Have we ever thought why there are some lines which we speak have greater impact then the others ? it's because Words are the voice of the heart. When it comes to SaJan it's their communication that's their USP. | |
Proper words in proper places, make the true definition of style and as i always say right words at right time with right emotions and depth, that's what makes SaJan different in their common story. And here i will thank Hitesh for giving such best and amazing dialogues which are simple yet meaningful. I wondered why SaJan have such few dialogues at times, the answer was clear today with one quote of George Eliot---" The finest language is mostly made up of simple unimposing words." who needs loads of words when they can read each others' eyes, minds, and hearts , That's what i like in them no heavy lines or words Simple un imposed words are enough to convey their feelings and intentions across.
They say Speech is the mirror of the soul; as a man speaks, so he is...
For people like Gunjan the trouble with her is that she lacks the power of conversation but not the power of speech. Hence when she converse the words are simple, short deep yet with emotions exactly how her soul is..
While Samrat when he is out of the mask of cool dude to the real samart he is emotional person for whom words he says means a lot.. and hence for both what is required is not a lot words, but effectual ones.
Let me start with one which is in the initial episodes when Samrat lands in her bedroom to convince her to take part in the talent parade. She asks him "Famous ho kye tume kya mila.."
This might be just a casual line, in their conversation, but this line not only pulls of his mask of cool dude for a minute but also makes him think as what did he gain from being famous. And for gunjan when she said this she had seen him thru his cool dude image to samrat who was different from what he shows to the world a person with golden heart. And that made her to get out of her fears and sing. And then with her lines on new year party "tumhe koi bath chute nahi" she rips off his outer shell and asks him to introspect himself changing his view about life and relationships forever...
Next is the Chashmish When first I heard Sam calling her chashmish was urgh cant CVs give a better nickname ....... and then for me the copyright wala lines to benji brought the essence of this name..... and then the drama dialogue of gunji ke jab bhi tum mujhe bulate toh aisa lagta ke yeh naam sirf tumhare liye bana hai & she recalled him calling her chashmish..
Chashmish is just not a name for both of them, for him - its first is best friend, his inner concise, his angle with whom he identifies his real self and confesses his utter most feelings which he can't let out......
For her it's not just the name- it's the feeling of being known to someone the way she is, the name - not just makes her feel special but also gives a sense of belongingness to someone special. Simple name yet so much depth in it that now it's their integral part of their relationship.
Gosh there are so many one liners which are so close to my heart i will just list them and will write as i get time.
This is my all time best dialogues of Sajan " o meri hai " lines at morena because of the situations and the depth of their love and separation where they both don't know if they could ever meet again....
"Kho gaya Samrat" ' especially for Mohit expression and dialogue delivery mai kho gaye when he said that...
Then we have the tum mere kal ka sapana aaj ki haqeekat aur aane wali kal ki umeed ho chashmish ' we have written pages on that..
chashmish agar aaj tum nahi uthi toh yaha ek nahi do dhakan bandh ho jayengi'defines the whole meaning of them being soulmates , just one line gets her back to life...
Again a simple line yet with deepth of unsaid words is from Gunjan's recovery when he turns a gin to help her out to make a tea. And as her spec gets clouded he wipes it and asks her "ab mai dhik raha hu." That question has some much unsaid feelings conveyed.
Then this cute one during the holi "mere rang mai rangkar tum bilkul mare mare se lag rahi ho.. tumbhi mhuje rang lagakar mhujie apna bana sakti ho...
"Tum mere one point focus ho".. and mai tho akela rahi jauga ...
Going the same take is the line is the "Phele tho ye chashma tha aur ye wheelchair jo mhuje tumare paas nane nahi dethi. ' gosh i have no reason why i like this line but a simply adore it..

Then the aaj Mere zindagi udhar hogi and latest is the crossover episode..
Now aashi this was a pretty long one to be reply to a post...... as i said don't ask me to start on sajan... a thesis on SaJan dialogues..
