I personally feel that it was wrong but I don't blame Samrat-Gunjan, I seriously blame the CVs for sending the message "Everything is fair in love"... It is not the case... Before marriage, a girl always represents her parents's pride and that is why all parents have the honour to do a girl's kanyadaan. Here, Gunjan's character has sorta disappointed me because she was always shown to be shy and matured, someone who knew what was right and wrong. She had even said to Nupur that getting married without taking their father's blessing is not correct... Now, Gunjan herself has gone far with Samrat, did she take her Bauji's blessings before entrusting herself to Samrat? Now, where are her values that she was showing to Nupur?
I am still repeating, I have nothing against Samrat and Gunjan but I just find this concept not right... I have my personal beliefs and if I were Gunjan, I'd be thinking "Will destiny even let me get married to Samrat?" We, the viewers, know that one of the characters is going to die and it could be Samrat... Then, what will Gunjan remain without Samrat? In reality, if someone is dead, he is so not going to come back... So if Samrat dies, what will be Gunjan? Will she be able to commit herself to someone else? Her family will ask her why is she not willing to share her life with someone else? What will she reply? "I already crossed my limits with Samrat thinking that he would get married to me really soon?"
Not all lovers have successful end, yet someone alive can be always in love with someone who has passed away.
Unfortunately, the society hasn't evolved much... There are still differences between girls and guys... If something goes wrong, it's usually the girl who's blamed!
