how is it more acceptable for a couple about to get married to make love as opposed to a couple not engaged..??

i have read this many times but i really dont see how it makes it less sinful!
i said sinful since in every religion it is a sin to make love before marriage..now if you follow the rule or not..that is a different thing...

and yeah..everyone makes mistakes or sins..but it is forgiven if you truly regret it ...unfortunately today sajan showed no regret whatsoever..and to be honest this shocked me more than the actual act !

i like the questions u ask... why exactly does our society seem to view premarital/extramarital sex as wrong yet marital sex as right ... i think u answered the question urself though - the bolded part - that i believe is where the diff lies... most religions classify premarital sex as wrong - many reasons, which vary with diff. religions - but i think the main reason is just that the act itself originally was meant to be a symbol of a married couple, of reproduction, not just of lust or love.. i don't wannt go into the whole reasons though, that's not my point...
my point though is that the diff. in views starts here - whether a person is willing to follow what their faith teaches them without any hesitation, or do they want to follow the view they have formulated (from gathering info. from various resources or just their personal thoughts)... there are some who follow their faith without any questions - they very strongly believe in the principles of it being right and true.. some societies - the evolved or modernized we could say - have modified the takes/beliefs abt diff. issues, according to the changing morals, media, revolutions, technology, women's "rights", views, etc. so now we have two streams - one who believe something solely based on their faith, and then another stream that likes to follow their own modified views based on many other resources..
i think one of the major characteristics of our desi indo-pak culture is that religious values r embedded very deeply in it... thus, premarital sex our society sees as wrong.. and though many ppl have diff. views about it - but on avg. the societal views are still traditional.. thus these extreme reactions when such content is shown on our desi tv shows - which technically are "supposed" to show what is right according to our culture..
