I loved Nupur today.
Yes, I did. I found her completely realistic - she's angry, upset hurt - for one, her father was forcing her into marriage because he misunderstood what Mayank was like - ok, not totally his fault, but that's her pov, remember - then her younger sister SEEMS to be supporting her dad - and Nupur is upset at the thought that Gunjan can be anything less than 100% on her side.
I liked Gunjan - I still think that she's in a very tight place - between father and sister, and Nupur is not understanding Gunjan's pov at all ... So Gunjan to my mind is justified in saying exactly what she said - both of you (bauji and Nupur) are not ready to understand each other ...
But Nupur's married life has not started off the way she always dreamed it would, they've been turned out of the college, they're struggling and the reality of life is just beginning to sink in after all her dreams of "married and living happily ever after" ... so her level of upset was already high - in spite of being blissfully happy with Mayank. And I thought she portrayed that beautifully and very realistically. Including the last bit of the precap with Mayank ... it's so difficult for a newly married girl to balance between her sister, who was her confidante all through, and a new husband who has just started becoming that. That's why in spite of being so upset with Gunjan, she was not ready to badmouth her to Mayank - she said it's between me and my sister.
It's a very mature track ... and I am so far liking it. I loved the Gunur tension today - it was very well done by both the girls - and both girls are right as far as I'm concerned.
Well said Diya!! Nupur's character was very realistic.
I'm glad they didn't show her being falsely sweet - Nupur's emotions show on her face - what you see is what you get with Nupur - so if she was upset with her sister it will show! For Nupur, she took the first opportunity to clarify with Gunjan - because she herself still can't believe that Gunjan would take Bauji's side against hers. Nupur does believe that Bauji was wrong in this case - remember what she told Mayank on the wedding night - that we will show Bauji our love is right. So for her when Gunjan is supporting Bauji - it means that she's not supporting MN love - which is a big blow to her - because she has stood by Gunjan all her life - and she always expected Gunjan to be by her side. It's not easy for Nupur to accept Gunjan's explanation so quickly - I know when I've had tiffs with my sister - if she explains - it's not immediate - forgive and forget! It takes time (maybe not weeks - but at least a couple of days)
Gunjan of course is caught in the middle. When one is not directly involved - it is human to see the side of both her loved ones - and she's caught between a stone and a rock!!
I felt for Nupur - when she said "Baahar bhi mera koi apna nahin"! The realization is dawning on her - that she's given up everything to marry Mayank - and yes she'd do it again in a heart beat - but it still hurts. That hurts come out as anger - and then to the nearest person to you. Though I do wish she would share her emotions with her husband!! I don't want her to have secrets or have topics that she does not discuss with her husband!! Those are signs of future discord. I want her to v.much make Mayank her "confidante" (to use Diya's terminology) - but it does take time. It cannot happen overnight!!
Mayank used the word "Sherni" - and I think Nupur would be that w.r.t Gunjan - because she feels v.protective towards her. If she ever felt anyone was hurting her sister - she would jump to her defense - no matter how hurt she feels - That is just how siblings are!!
