ananya really well said. i don't know what else to add, i agree and i think its much about how we relate to the character or how we want it to be.

caro, stop saying that u hav offended me .. u can NEVER! jus like u respect me .. I respect u too! 😃

now, coming back to ur post ..

yup, I identify with gunjan a LOT .. but its not coz of the padhaku nature or the shyness at all, infact if u meet me in real life .. I m exactly like nupur .. bubbly and out-going and tend to speak my heart than my mind ... childish .. and at times, filmy too! lol .. but then, its because of her emotional nature, her sensitivity, her knack to get hurt easily, the fact tht she cannot lie or bear lies.. her ability to understand ppl .. and to trust ppl easily, help even those that dont deserve to b helped .. and many many other factors that make me understand / relate to gunjan a lot more than nupur!

I can understand exactly what u mean ... yes, we shud keep our mind/emotions away when we watch a particular show .. but then again, when we see something which u can say a 'mirror image' of who we are .. our emotional sentiments get attached to it immediately .. and we tend to be INTO the character so much .. that we ignore the rest of them ... esp those that we dont 'relate' to AT ALL .. for me, that happ wit nupur in the middle ( and ever since then ) when she got messed up .. I used to enjoy her initial scenes SO much .. she got a smile on my face everytime she was on screen .. but slowly that smile faded to frustration ... and mind u, that did happen wit me once for gunjan too..during the LOOONG sheee-na phase .. as for samrat, well .. never could identify wit him ... but then again, I wil prob defend him because of my nature to understand other ppl and hence samrat too .. and also since he is so HUGELY related to gunjan ... mayank was someone whom I wanted to b like always, since I suck at making sarcy comments .. I usually end up making a fool of myself 😆😆 and adore to b smart and witty!

teekh hain...i wont say that again

LOL that was a revelation about ur attachment to sammy baba!

well ur relationship with gunjan and nupur is similar to mine..only reversed...ive lost my appetite for her tears

attachment..hmm..u could say i was a terribly attached to nupur and mayank.... but the attachment got strained...and I now watch it for fun and entertainment.....it took a while...but it all turned out good😆 i still come back for some old fun...old habits never die....i guess😛

answer to the blue--@red- I thing the basic answer and the problem ( I say problem bcoz of the numerous debates which come up). Each of relate the stories to certain personal level. Characters are interpreted as how either we would behave in a similar situation or certain beliefs that we hold or if they resemble someone we know in real life or If we have experienced similar situation in real life... oh sunsign, moonsign, astrology, date of birth, numerology...🤣(kidding) to state a few

Since no two individual might have all these in common.. perception varies... We end up liking or disliking a particular situation/character accordingly. Again the reason for reading btwn the lines... or reading more than what was actually intended.. is there anything wrong in that... ermmm nope... hilarious ... again debatable.. if you'vent been in similar situation you (addressing in general) may find it hilarious.. or else you relate to it.

I think both of us agree on that part.
Its like 6 blind men trying to decipher the object (elephant) in front of them.. one says is a wall(body), one says its a brush (tail) etc etc. Each of them is correct in someway.. each of them is wrong in other. We are right coz we think is best that suits us... we are wrong coz we never do think in other's POV. I wanna add .. I would be a hypocrite if I said I consider others POV always. 😆

So those who watch the show for entertainment and not emotionally either never visited the forum or have stopped posting here 😆

Now comes the question of the makers dont understand the characters.Well that could ve been avoided as you stated like in the Korean shows. since the creator himself decides the storyline based on audience response, Channel's response, producer's concerns, trps, other shows other channels, oh and the numeruos number of films that he has watched in the recent times.... the story varies accrdly. LOL

I just remembered the Panchatantra story that i think most of us read in our chilhood. The story with father , son and the donkey. Quick recap of it- They are on a journey to the market. Dad asks the son to ride on the donkey. Passerby critizes son for having made an old man walk. now the Dad rides on the donkey. Another villager critizes him for making a young boy walk. Now both ride on the donkey. yet another villager reproaches them for burdening the donkey. In the end they end up carrying the Donkey. i guess in the end they return back home. i.e. forgot the purpose they started the journey in first place..

So since the storyline itself goes thru numerous opinions an polls the end result is mishap of it all. I think thats the problem I have with the CVs more than butchering a character. my problem... forgetting the basic theme of the show.. basic intention when the characters where created (if any😆)

I hope I didnt go off topic or did I just say what others did...😆😆😆

and abt why we fight it out , decry other's opinion... coz we think we know everything .. we always are right...😕.. I dunno...😕

edit
Btwn.. Hey Caro🤗.. eppadi irruke???

naa nalla thaan irukkaen😃 summa oru getthaane break eduthuttu thoongi vazhinjittu irukkaen!!! nijamaavay oru nalla idaiveli!!! neenge eppadi irukkeenge?

i certainly agree with what u have posted.... I am one of teh people who said the creatives made a mistake of coming to the forum and trying to listen to us..they are better of dicussing within themselves ...

hey senny
:)
for example, at the behest of being controversial I would state this...
the story..let us consider the story of the 6 blind men trying to decipher an elephant.... some may get the tail..some may get the ears..some may get the trunk..but they are all integral part of an elephant.... one blind fellow cannot tell another blind fellow "of ur dumb..this object cannot have an area like that..or oh u did not understand the object at all!
i did not like the pehli baar sequence a lot.... some may have liked it..i can say Mayank cannot behave like this... I may be countered by getting another facet on how mayank did was a valid as a romantic or blah blah blah.... whether I accept that argument or choose to stand by my opinion is a different deal.... but nobody has a right to tell me that I did not understand mayank... coz i have a CUC😆
samething with gunjan..if somebody thinks gunjan acted like a selfish sister ..she did act so for that person..why should another person poke their nose and say OH shut up u did not understand the character so dont talk...

hypocrisy!

IMO, saying you UNDERSTAND a character is the biggest understatement ever! Fine, I admit, earlier I used to claim that I understand "MayUr" very well, but I do realize that MayUr are just beyond my understanding. We all have different ways of interpreting things, and it's best if we learn to respect every person's views. I mean, how funny would it be, if you go and tell a person you've just been observing since months, that, hey, hello, I understand you better than your parents! Ofcourse the person would think we've gone crazy.

So bottom line, neither we, nor the CVs Understand the characters they've created. So It's basically just pointless to sit and fight over that.

No offence. Just my pov (It's become very necessary to say this😆)

Oh, and btw, Caro, me completely agrees with you😛
