@Jenny - Thanks!

@Bronze - Thanks for liking this and also the FF. Still waiting for your comments :-)

@Nureat - (I wish you I had a name to address you :-) ) Thanks so much. I think I am going to stick with this Mayank only. If current trend continues, I will mostly stop watching this series and think that series ended at Samrat's release from prison.

@Sarah - Thanks! I will post something by end of the day.

@LadyM - Yep. You said it! Like I said, this is how Mayank will be for me. Nupur, well her character itself is versatile so probably I will like her for more time to come. (Last night she was suddenly very understanding when Mayank says that they have to talk. This is why I like the dynamics of her character.)

@Little Dragon: Thanks very much!

@talkative taurus - Thank you very much. Well, nerdiness is something that I saw in him in earlier episodes. Yes, he is a good dancer and everything but in the end, he finds his solace in library. Well, this is entirely my perception of him.

@Sandy - Thank you! Yes, this is what he was! Wow, thank you for your compliemtns.

@nimrah - Thank you so much. I am not sure why character degrades over period of time in Indian television especially. They start out so well but over the months either character loses its strength or evolution is at halt. Its a tragedy.

@myownarea - Thanks :-) I think creatives would definitely do something like that. I read about this in a blog of script writer who scripted Remix. According to her, character profiles are a must.

@kasuforver - Thank you very much :-)

Exactly... Well put! Brillant work!!

THIS is the Mayank we knew, know, and wanted to know more about... Somehow he got lost in the tunnel on his way to love...

Wish creatives could understand that people fall in love blindly, and do loads of things unconsciously or else, BUT people don't change personalities after falling in love... Habits may change, attitudes don't.... *sigh*

Nice analysis!
Cheers,
Sneha

thats a very well thought-out analysis......i dont think mayankhas lost his charm at all.....he has still maintained the same level of intellect......but what i love about him most is he makes compromises without losing the truthfulness of his character.....sure he does some unexpected things but what person in love remains the same as they did before......and he hasnt become nupur's puppet as some people are saying.....he cant see nupur unhappy.....but it doesnt mean that he has forsaken everything which makes him mayank.....hes a chivalrous guy.....and he never undermines her importance in his life.......i dont think mayank has lost his touch at all......love has actually made him a better person......hes much more open to showing his feelings even if its not public and he has learned to enjoy life more......naina

@Anthara -- Thank you very much. Yes, this is Mayank who is not yet transitioned to the one he is currently. Current Mayank is like a cusp.

@noe -- Thank you. This Mayank is what current Mayank is built upon. I hope to see him resurface soon!

@sneha -- Thanks. True, people do not change personalities. But they do get tad irrational in the initial phase. And I hope that phase passes soon for Mayank!

@Naina -- Thank You. He is walking on a thin line between making choices and compromising his personal preference. It's a very tricky scenario to be in. I personally am glad that he tried to initiate a conversation with Nupur last night though am not too happy with the way the scene proceeded. Yes, his personality is changed in a way that his outlook is not cynical anymore. He is more relaxed and interacts with people more. Thanks for your analysis!

Hi Sookie!!
I am glad that you did this. Thanks so much!!! Your post has now pulled me to comment here.😃
Very well analysed and written Sookie👍🏼👏. I agree with almost every word you have said. After speaking to you, I too was in a thinking mode about this guy. Here I go.
His character and attitude was and is always unique. As you said, he is the one whom you can show to your parents without getting any kind of whining as response. He is the one who uses both his brain and heart whenever and wherever required respectively.
One girl, hide and seek game of heart with her, many confrontations and confusions, altast a confession between them- all these were the fancy days of his life during which came out to be the real him, the loving, lovable, caring and intelligent one.
And now he is the guy still yet to accept his relationship openly in front
of all those whom he actually cares for. Is his wise timidness taking over the boldness in him?
I am still expecting a lot more to be unravelled about him.
