Exactly! Mayank was NEVER the typical knight in shining armor, he was chivalrous but not the kind who'd display that chivalry all the time. Nupur was a damsel in distress but one who was proud of it 😆 😆 She never expected help from anyone and always tried to undo the mess she is in, by herself. If you have observed, seldom did we see her thanking Mayank for bailing her out of trouble, that is because she had this confidence in herself , that she can handle things on her own, that she does not need someone to support her or help her, she'd probably think "Big deal! I could have done this myself, I did not need his favor" everytime Mayank helped her out.

Yes, Nupur had all these dreams and fantasies BUT she wasn't aware that, in reality, she would never like those very fantasies if they came true. An example for that would be the scene where in she tells Mayank in Ac-Meet that her guy should love her so much i.e. to the extent of carrying her in his arms for he wouldn't want to let even her feet get soiled n yet when Mayank did exactly that on the night she got locked up in college , she did not appreciate it. I dunno if I am making sense here or not 😆 😆

N was only in love with the idea of being in love n Mayank was supposed to break that illusion n show her what EXACTLY was love n how different it is in reality and from the way she always perceived it , he was supposed to bring her down to reality by being his practical, grounded self.....

So well put Kavya!!! But I somehow felt that the creatives never intended the above scene to be as u've have interpreted. I mean i thot they had put it for another lover jodi staring session or filler to the confession. I donno i may be wrong.. but After what they are doing to MN these days i really wonder if their real real intention was to get this side of Nupur out ( i.e. @black) or like i said just romantic staring session. Either Nuour is confused or Creatives are!!!!!

Its like dont take me for granted jus becoz i'm from a small town, simple. She may be subdued, innocent, not as knowledgeable as Mayank might be,listen to ppl, take their opinion, sacrifice to some extent but once u cross her limits she will surely stand up for her rights. Thankfully, i think( whatever i remember ) she hasnt changed on that bit even today-Like sheena scene where she for stands for gunjan.

I love it when she says "aankh kaan nak sabse gyaan tapkega na"... i can so imagine mayank like that. The above two dialogues are so so Nupur.. n never heard before...

N shes so right when she says "Jab bhi dekhta hai uske andhar Chemical REaction shuru ho jata hai".. thats so true.. arre Nupurji chemical reaction tho shuru ho hi gaya hai... positive or negative reaction has begun ... she has made an impression on him!!! I donno if Mayank would have those trifling arguments or tug of war with the books with someone else as may be Sheena kinda personality.. he wouldnt even bother to talk to her or give her a second look.. Its jus Nupur n her mahaan antics that make him react...

Sahi Jawaaab! 😆 😆 I think we only read too much depth into their characters especially Nupur's thanks to the concerned actors' subtle emoting capabilities, may be RP n AB ended up adding the evasive depth to the characters of Mayank N Nupur with their acting, something which the 'creatives' never wrote for MN or intended to show in them. Clearly, our picture of MN is waayyyyyyyyyyyyy different from theirs 😆 😆
