hmmm see i dont think its fair to say to say that gunjan isnt really a good sister ... shes always been a very hmmm how do i put is .... a very docile person .... always the timid one .. where nupur is always the more outgoing of the go and she naturally assumed this more protective role esp vis a vis gunjan !!!!!

nupur has never really let anyone seen her weak side .... barely once or twice .. shes always tried and had that " in control " thing about her ... the reason i can understand gunjan and nupur so well is coz my sisterand i .... v r just like gunjan and nupur .. with my sister being dis really shy and sumwhat bashful even and i am more like nupur ... always taking the bull by its horns .... so what happens is when u r so used to having things in control and not showing ur feelings .. there comes a time u find it difficult to express urself .... and to be fair to gunjan nupur has never really shown her vulnerable side to her .... the one time nupur is shown upset ( abt the drugs issue ) gunjan tried finding out ... now nupur doesnt confide in her ... u cant blame gunjan for that na 😳

i personally feel nupur should tell gunjan on her own ... rather than gunjan finding out it from outside ... n come on its such a lame excuse for not telling gunjan " usse burra lagega " ...... kis baat ka yar 😕

so to sum it up i think gunjan is also a really nice sister its just that nupur is more pro active ( whichcomes from her personality )

PS : n coming to your point ..... gunjan missing out on nupur's performance ..... well it has happened to me ... this was dis really important event in my life and my sister couldnt make it ( coz of dis guy trouble ) and the first thing i did after the event got over. .. i rushed to meet her .... coz throughout the event i had this image of her crying in my mind ( cant tell u guys how upset i was for her and not because she wasnt there for me )

frankly with sisters u dont keep a TAB of such things ... who is there for whom .. thats to juvenile and not to forget petty 😕 .... she was sitting at home wishing the best for me .... and i was at the venue worried abt her .... that is true sisterhood in my opinion .....

Hey Neh,

Firstly,According to whatever i have seen in MJHT till know i have analysed that Nupur is the ELDER sister.The amount of responsibilty which she has on her shoulders is not with Gunjan .Gunjan always says her things to Nupur as lemme remind you that Gunjan and Nupur HAVE LOST their MOM.In this case Gunjan will tell her things to Nupur only as she has no one.But Nupur cant tell her problems to Gunjan as she knows that Gunjan is small,Innocent and Sensitive.I dont think any sister in this world would want her smaller sister to be sad cuz of her.But Gunjan is never able to hide her feelings from Nupur and Nupur always figures out whats wrong with Gunjan.Thats's how sisterhood is..and i love them this way.

Like you said, Gunjan is a good student and a good friend. But when it comes to being a good sister to Nupur, IMO she doesn't quite claim the laurels.

In the show so far, I have often felt Nupur being sidelined and ignored. Just because she is a lively and cheerful girl who doesn't let her own problems affect her loved ones, her problems actually do go unnoticed. Gunjan didn't help her feel better after that perfectly horrible fight with Mayank. She has rarely taken the initiative to find out what's up in her life. I admit that Nupur disguises her woes well but sisters shud be able to read each other's thoughts better. Nupur always tries to cheer her up, invariably brightening things for her little sister... Its not often that I have felt the love being reciprocated. In the beginning maybe.. when she would help her with studies... but whatever it is, Nupur always strikes me as the more caring one. Maybe its bcoz Nupur is the elder sister - but they don't have all that big an age gap for Gunjan's indifference to be justified.

The precap! For one, didnt Gunjan read the script? Mayank and Nupur did change so much.. I had thought she would know. But I guess she couldn't be bothered to watch... No matter how upset she was abt the whole Samrat issue, I shud have thought she wud care enough for her sister to go watch the finale.. she knew how special it was for Nupur..

Still.. the two do look like good sisters even though the caring-sharing scale isn't really balanced.. I would love some more sister scenes. 😃

i was just thinking the same thing. Gunjan never cares about Nupur. She never tries to find out whats up with her and do u remember when she got locked up in college Gunjan not even thought of why she hasnt reached home yet or where's she?? She thinks about everyone even Sheen and Dodo but not of her sis. Kaisi sister hai?? Ok i can understand that Samrat didnt see it but why ot gunjan busy in seein shammy or crying??
