you maybe uploading your display image incorrectly. Try using this one made by Payal25

to get the url address (right click the avatar and click copy image location)
eg. this one made by Payal25 (Credit goes to her)

then u need to enter it (the URL which for this one is http://i27.tinypic.com/2jslk8.jpg ) into ur settings (under preferences) and add it into the white box underneath the words "Avatar link" (right at the bottom). THEN click "Submit" button. Click on the image below and u'll understand what I mean .

1. Hover your mouse over 'My Dashboard' (top right hand orange corner), and go then click on 'settings'.

2. Click on the 'Signature' tab, and write this URL address into the empty white box:
