I would love to see Mayur acting exactly like Darcy and Lizzy......but this play does not excite me. I am afraid that by mixing DTPH kinda stuffs or anything at all with P&P will only lead to irritate me. I am a huge fan of Pride and Prejudice and Lizzy-Darcy......and any meddling with the original version is a big NO for me. Thats why I loved the BBC adaptation👏 and didnt watch the keira one at all😡.

If, through some miracle, Mayur portray the role of darcy-lizzy exactly like that of the book, then I would say that the Mayank we used to get before the sidelining began and all......that Mayank was perfect as Darcy. So it would be good to see Mayank like that.

As for Samrat-Sheena being Bingley-Jane........that offends me already😆. Samrat is perfect for Bingley, no arguement with that. But Sheena, she is anything but Jane. Not just because of what Sheena is, but even the description of Jane that we got in the book......that is not Sheena. Jane is supposed to be a beauty, and angelic one........not only that, her face should carry a peaceful impression, which sheena does not have either.

I am hoping against hope that they will not ruin P&P for me.

I was happy when I heard Benji announce Pride and Prejudice. There are so many reasons for the same. For one, its always been one of my favourite literary works - it has an undying charm that forces me to re-read it ever so often. And the more important reason - I could always relate Mayank to Darcy ever since the show started. I remember Nidhi, how much we had discussed the play and hoped it would be P&P.. so it kinda feels good. MN would be perfect as Elizabeth-Darcy and Sam can do justice to Bingley. Sheena, though, is no Jane. Gunjan might have been better at that... Ranvijay can be Wickham.. LOl.. guess he will be the supporting actor after all, though its funny to imagine Nupur and RV together...

I am making a conscious effort to not complain about the track as I find it an utterly useless exercise. Plus, being as attached to MN/AR as I am, there is no way I can quit the show. So I am conveniently letting myself be happy with what flashes we get of MN and hoping that the track will once again enthrall me as much as those good old days of MJHT had... and please creatives, no matter how 'modern' the adaptation is, do NOT ruin P&P. That would almost be an unforgivable mistake...

Amen ... you spoke my mind! Sheena doesn't have the Jane like qualities ...She's too obvious, if you know what I mean. However, Gunjan does have a very peaceful face / demeanor ... but angelic beauty ki liya makeover lagega ...
