What's common b/w Mayank-Nupur? - Page 4

Few things, I think they have in common is that they both come from humble backgrounds. Neither of them are stinking rich. Uday and Dia maybe, but Gunjan and Nupur are certainly not. They come from small town and they haven't forgotten that. Manyank and Nupur both have same set of values, although their goals in life are different. They are both quinessentially simple, although they view life with differing perspectives. Most importantly, they have similar moralities.

I don't know if this makes sense Anu. Just rambled a bit here.

Good points, LadyM! Ofcourse they make sense! I do agree about these....but as Kavya mentioned on the last page or so.....these characteristics they can only bond over if they let go of their egos.

What I meant in general was simple things to talk about....like an actual conversation about say hobbies....but even their hobbies totally differ :(( lol

I'll take even a convo about ice-cream flavors at this point as long it doesn't involve a chipku Nupur and saduu faced Mayank :P lol

@ Anu - But their differences is what makes their chemistry interesting. Have you read Jeffery Archer's short story called Old Love? Mayank and Nupur remind me of that couple. They fell in love (supposedly, because they were constantly concerned about beating each other), married and argued until the very end of their lives, so much so that people thought their arguments were scripted ;-)

Yet, I agree with you that until one of them let's go their ego - this relationship will never progress. In Old Love it was the guy - when he proposed (even then they argued, about why he waited so long :-)). In this story - it looks like it'll be Nupur. She's tolerating Mayank despite his rude behaviour!

They have quite a few things in common......like they are both their own person, mayank doesn't take crap from anyone (eg to diya, samrat etc), and neither does nupur, they both have greaaaaaaat egos which is why they sometimes clash with one another....

Also like many people have said they come from the same background, they aren't as rich as diya n uday n come from working class backgrounds.

They both have someone in their life who they are overly protective of...mayanks mum n nupurs sister

They both seem to be on the same intelligence level...apparently *rolls eyes*

They both compliment each other whilst doing nautanki!!!

I like points 2, 4, 8.....go ahead and take a bow😆😆.....they can surely bond over humor👍🏼....but Mayank still doesn't seem to consider Nupur that intelligent really.....given her recent 'mahaan' logic such as "Mayank ko main red roses dungi cuz white and yellow didnt' work"🤔

Humor is a good one though....they do bring laughter in each other's lives....except ever since Mayank has fallen in love with her, his laughter is not there as much and Nupur running after him FORCING him to be her 'friend' is not going to bring back that laughter really😕

I dont' think they communicate that well generally.....for the most part, Mayank has a 'what the hell' expression on his face vis a vis Nupur😆

@LadyM: Have I ever denied that the differences make their chemistry interesting?? :S LOL.....ofcourse it does! That's the very basis of this show! Opposites attract!

But the point I'm trying to make is that no matter how different they are from each other and no matter how much that sets up for entertaining bickering etc. usually.....it would be nice to see them being able to bond over something....and that I don't think has happened in quite a while. I haven't read that book by Jeffrey Archer but I've seen similar couples in other movies/books....so yes obviously there are ppl who are so different but are still together and end up together forever.....but that wasn't my point here.
